Tubercular Meningities followed by convulsions
My daughter of age 19yr.were suppering from severe bad headeach and back pain followed by mild convultions.On 25-05-2005 she became senseless with severe Tetaniform convulsions with loss of consciousnes and hospitalized.Doctors after several investigations finally traced on 04-06-2005 that she had been suffering from Tubercular Meningities and were under medications.But in November 2005 her vision for right eye were diminishing and in december she almost lost her vission for right eye.From MRI report it is found that optic nerves are compressed by tuberculomas. She was than given steriods to gain this visson but only she can count with 2'.All these treatment were under rewoned doctors(Neorologists and eye specialists) of Bangladesh and India.In this period she developed the symptoms of mild convultions in regular intervals.When convultions occurs she has a pre-assuptions of a smell,great fear for ghosts and calls nearests that she is afraid of.This remains for 5-10 minutesand after pouring cold water in head and by drinking cold water she gets relief.In this time she gives up gas by mouth.It may be mentioned that anti TB medicines form gas and she was taking medicines(omeprazol-40mg) for this.During the attack her weight was 42.00kg but after taking steriod now it is 62.00kg like the patient of scrufula type.Based on her symptoms I gave her alternately Belladona-30,200,1M,Argent Nitricom-200,Pulsatilla-200,1M,Calcaria carb-30,200,1M,10M.With these she recovered littlebit.
But still she has random convultions generally in the noon,evening and vission loss.She is taking Carbamazapine-200mg two times daily.Anti TB medicines course completed.
Can Mr.Joe/Dr.Sharma or any homeo doctor pls help for my child????????

I don't feel fine with your daughter's case: it's a great pity. I understand your worries.
Well, I see you know about homeopathy, and so -if you have any question, we can change opinions- i'll try to explain what I think.
All of your daugther's disturbs come from a brain inflammation, and -if you look at the repertory- APIS is a very very good remedy to act against acute inflammation. This inflammation produces all the other symptoms: convulsión, loss of vision, ghosts...
Hence, if we act on the first and principal symptom, we shall obtain clearer symptoms after a time.
In other hand, TUBERCULINUM acts very well as a deep remedy, clearify the case.
Hence, I propose this protocol:
1.- In a 125 ml glass of water, put three pellets of APIS 200CH. Shake well and sign seven marks in the glass. Each mark is a dosis. Each day -during six days- shake well the glass and give the dosis.
At the end od the sixth day, you'll have one dosis in the glass. Refill with water and repeat again leaving a day between the next bottle.
(This is the plussing method of DR.RAMAKRHISNAN)
After the first week, give a dosis (three pellets) of TUBERCULINUM 200CH. Only you have to repeat after 15 days from the first take.
Then -passed a month- your daugther will have taken 4 bottles of APIS, and six dosis from each one glass; and two dosis of TUBERCULINUM.
Please, consult to your books and repertories and if you have any doubt, feel free to write again.

Dear Andres,
Thank you for a valued opinion.She is now on Belladona-1M wet dose and no convultion for more than 15days and appearing at atest exam at her college.I shall start your medicines after she finished her exam.Meantime I shall study Apis.Previously I baught Bacillinium to which symtoms related but not started as I found more closer to Bell,CalC and Pul.But pls advise one thing whether Apis can help in staarting menses?Don't understand why Bell ,Cal c or Pulls didn't help in occuring menses?Can you pls advice any other remedy for menses particularly??
Will remain with you when I shall follow your advice.

Problem may be in repertorising, some one are for scanty menses, some one are short periods, check the color, etc.

Why Cal.Carb. and Puls. doesn't work? Sergio is right, may be a problem in your repertorising. I would try with the protocol I proposed to you, and wouldn't worry with this symptom.

I extracted from Boericke's Materia Medica this about APIS:
'Female.--dema of labia; relieved by cold water. Soreness and stinging pains; ovaritis; worse in right ovary. Menses suppressed, with cerebral and head symptoms, especially in young girls. Dysmenorrha, with severe ovarian pains. Metrorrhagia profuse, with heavy abdomen, faintness, stinging pain. Sense of tightness. Bearing-down, as if menses were to appear. Ovarian tumors, metritis with stinging pains. Great tenderness over abdomen and uterine region.'

Thanks,I hv also consulted APIS,as per T.F. Allen also referred for girls.Ok I hv decided to start as per your advise and will let you know the outcome.Today (07-03-07) convultion appeared for a moment with FEAR AND SMELL.

Please, read the old instruction with attention.
You only need three pellets of APIS for this treatment. With the last dosis (seventh) in the glass, you must refill with water, but no more pellets. And give her the dosis as the first week.
About TUBERCULINUM, only once three pellet, but in dry dosis, no need diluting in water.
