The ABC Homeopathy Forum

desperate for help

Hi,
I have already sent my problem under another username: penfield but I haven't received anything, not even a word at all. My colleague told me that there a feww people with very good homeopathy knowledge. On the other hand I heard that homeopathy is also abotu being a real human. So for God's sake somebody please post a reply to me even if it is something like there is no cure for this in homeopathy. At least I will know and will quit homeopathy.
The problem: I have a Bartholin's Cyst for about 4 years in the right side entrance of the vagina. If there is anything you need to know more let me know.
Thank you,
Betty

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hello Betty
I believe homeopathy can help you but I'd say in your caase it would be better (=faster, more accurate) to go to experienced profesional-in the us you might search
the NCH site at:

http://206.135.208.81:591/nch_directory/FMPro?-db=directory....

Sorry nobody answered your previous post-be sure it wasn't of bad will (my guess is that the title scared everyone away).

Hi,
Thank you for the nice reply. I used to go to a professional homeopth every month for my problem for about 3 years but no results at all. My colleague got good results just by posting her problems to this forum. So I thought I can do the same thing. Sorry about the title but I was trying to be as specific as possible.
I found one homeopath in the forum and sent a message to him/her as well but haven't heard back from him/her. it is kind of strange that professional people make a judgement by just looking at the title of a posting.
Thank you again.
Betty

Actually this was my lame kind of a joke (sorry about that) with the title scaring people away-you have known homeopathy for at least 4 years so you know that it really doesn't matter much to us what symptom - except for rare, strange or peculiar symptoms (THEY help us find the right remedy).
Well, we may try to find one for you.
Would you please answer some questions.

1.your main complain (my guess is that cyst, right?)did anything happen in your life when it showed up? What kind of sensations do you feel? does it get better/worse sometimes-when?

2.anything else (symptoms, sensations)?

3.what kind of medicines allopathic and homeopathic did you take?Any effect?

4.about you: you appetite/thrst/sleep? foods and drinks you crave or have aversion for?
Any time of the day/season/weather you like the best or the worst?

That's iT FOR NOW.
Best

Are you warm or a chilly person?
What angers you the most?

Also answer: What happened 4 years ago that might have triggered the ailment?

yes my main complain is a cyst on the right side of the vagina entrance. it is called Bartholin's cyst. it happened suddenly one night after intercourse 4 years ago. It was about 1 year after my marriage. I have been married for 5 years now. the only other thing I had at that time was cystitis which doctor told me it is common for newly married women. I got urinary tract infection 3 times after that so far.
the bartholin's cyst doesn't bother me except during the intercourse sometimes it becomes swollen in a way that we can not do anything. usually after my periods it is smaller and then as I get closer to the time of my period it gets bigger and kind of hard (not stone hard though). There is one more thing when we have intercourse and I don't get orgasm it will become as big as a walnut. I can't think of any other symptoms. overall I am a chilly person. I had a lot of break outs on my face but now it is much more better. now just when I eat too much chocolate or fat I will get a few break outs on my face. a few break outs on my back as well. my appetite is normal. I am not a thirsty person because I drink juices a lot. I love juices. I sleep good. one thing I don't like at all is tomato and also peanut butter. I like potato and rice and also fruits. I crave for cakes and pastries some time when I have too much brain work. I can't eat green pepper. I like it but it makes a lot of gas for me. I like warm weather and generally I am not good in winter time. I am very good in the monring and usually after lunch is my worst time.
I never take any allopatic medicine. but as for homeopathic it is a long list and I really don't remember all of them but I can mention some of them:
Arsitoluchia 200 c, Arsenicum Alb Lm1, Lm2, Kali carb 200 c,..., Phos Lm1,Lm2, Silica Lm1,Lm2,Lm3,Lm4, and Sulphur Lm1,Lm2, Lm3 now Lm4!!!!
I am really getting tired of this situtaion, I am sorry to say that I don't feel good about my homeopath. I have a kind of feeling that she doesn't do the right thing just to make more money out of me. I hate to think so but I have a strong feeling about this situation.
Thank you
Betty

Did any of the homeopathic remedies have ANY effect on you?(I'm asking because you used different potencies of some).

Astra2012 last decade
Would you describe you break outs: like color, any discharge?

How are your nails?
Do you catch cold easily?
Do you like listening to some music?

Betty, if you have a chance read about Staphysagria. Regarding bladder/newly married women/supressed anger, etc. As for the cyst, someone will guide you back on course. Homeopathy takes keen observation and patience.

Hi,
here are answers to all the questions:
as I said before I am a chilly person.
I am not an angry person becuase I usually try to understand other people. but there is one thing: I need a lot of attention. sometimes even I would like to be the centre of attention. and if I don't get the amount of attention I need, I would get angry.
4 years ago nothing specifically really happened that triger this Cyst. it happened after a kind of intercourse with too much pressure on just one side and that was because of the position.
break outs are red at first and then after a few days become white-yellow in the centre and then I usually let them gorw and then press them to make those empty.
nails are good.
I used to catch cold easily when I was a kid also had a lot of throat infection. but at the age of 18 I had an operation for removing tonsils. now I don't catch cold very often maybe once or twice per winter.
I like listening to music specially spanish music. I am not spanish and has no spanish background. I also like to dance so much again specially spanish dance(flamenco).
To be honest with you I had too many remedies that now I am so confused and I don't remember which one had a good effect on me. I just remember when I had phosphor I was so great and everything was perfect. but then after that she gave me silica which makes me misrable, it made me like a dead person.
now I am taking sulphur lm4. so far it was good and the cyst became samller but now that I have started lm4 it is getting bigger a little bit.
I checked Staphysagria and I don't think that it is a good choice because it says:
these types have deeply suppressed emotions, especially rage, which I don't. they are very sensitive to rudness and insults and they fear losing self-control and tend to have a high sex drive which non of them is true about me. as a matter of fact I have a low sex drive.
please feel free to ask me more questions.
Thank you
Betty

Hello Betty,
Can you actually dance flamenco? It's a beautiful dance but I think it's also very difficult.
But I can't even tell if the music is Spanish, Cuban or Mexican...

I'm trying to analyze the homeopathic treatment you've had.
I don't quite get why your homeopath decided to change remedies when it (phosphorus) made you feel good. When the remedy is right the first noticeable effect is usually felt in the mental sphere - you feel great even though your physical symptoms are the same or even aggravated.

And if you feel miserable, like with silica, it doesn't make much sense to go up in potency because it is a wrong remedy.

The problem is in the gray zone-you feel neither great nor miserable (sulphur?) as it may or may not be your remedy (partially - but I'd vote sulphur out here)

Do you have any mental etc (more energy, better mood and sleep) effects after sulphur?
How much time was phosphorus allowed to act before you took silica?

Are these eruptions itching?
Painful?

Astra2012 last decade
Hi,
first time UTI was treated just by drinking lots of water. that was the first time when doctor told me it is normal for newly married women. second time (1 year after first one)UTI treated by Cantharis and third time UTI(2 years after the second one) treated by Antibiotic because there was blood in the urine and the condition was so bad.
my husband is a very clean person and he has never been treated for veneral diseases.
about the eruptions if I press them sometimes they are painful other than that they are not. and they are not itchy.
each of the remedies given to me was for one month so I had phos for 2 months and then she decided to start silica(don't know why!!!) with sulphur I feel good. I mean after been so miserable by silica I should feel good. sorry I just remember one more thing. she gave me sulphur lm1 and then again she gave silica lm? and it was at that time that I was about breaking down. I was developing symptoms like hate all the men, having very bad dreams, .... so I wouldn't compare sulphur with silica but if you want me to compare my condition with the time of phos then I should say I was at my best condition with phos. I mean everybody could say that by just looking at me. now with sulphur I feel good but not as good as then. there are some new things after taking sulphur: I have headache on the day before my periods and the first two days of my periods. I have never had these kind of headaches. the periods are not as heavy as before. and after lunch sometimes I get headache. last thing is that it has been 4 years that I have this puffiness under my eyes. with phos it was getting better and now again with sulphur it is getting better.
I guess that is all. more questions? let me know.
and yes Astra2012, I dance flamenco and it is not an easy dance. you really have to concentrate and as soon as you loose your concentration you will collapse;) FYI this is the only kind of dance that you have to perform it with live music becuase it is the musician that follows the dancer not the dancer follows the music( in case of other types of dance).
cheers,
Betty

Hello Betty, I wondered if I should ask more questions and try to select only one remedy, OR tell you more so you'll decide (as I know now that you understand homeopathy)-of course I decided on the latter: since I cannot decide between two remedies:SEPIA (which imo fits you more, but more often relates to the left side unfortunately; also sepia antidotes sulphur) and CALCAREA CARBONICA (which -again imo-fits you less but covers most of the symptoms).
but I really like sepia for you.Read, decide, post here.

About the potency: LMs are for rather sensitive people but you also took 200c. I recommend single dose of 200c (should act at least a month) but since the rules say only one remedy at a time wait for about 2 weeks after sulphur.

There were other remedies that seemed important like lycopodium, rhododendron, pulsatila and yes, silica (But even if according to all the books silica would be indicated it is NOT because your body says so.It's the ultimate judge of remedies!).

Keep us posted! (Also if it happens that you have already tried these remedies unsuccessfully-we'll search for others).

I only wonder if you shouldn't take nux vomica after you are done with sulphur-it is not indicated however it is said to neutralize overmedication, also with homeopathic remedies (one dose of 30c is enough)

Hello Astra2012, I agree about Calc Carb. when I was a kid I had a crave for chalk!! I am not sure about Sepia because Sepia types are women tend to adopt a martyr's role in life and feel on the brink of being overwhelmed by their responsibilities. as a result they harbour a deep seated resentment. that is not me for sure.
what do you think about Hepar Sulph? let me know.
Thanks
Betty

Desperate for help last decade
Hello Betty
I see no contraindication for Hepar (for chilly person, mostly right side, catches cold easily, etc) but I also saw no indication (every wound easily suppurates, oversensitive not only to draft but also to noise, odors etc). It is indicated when there are abscesses or ulcers and low potencies of hepar make them suppurate. (higher potencies are supposed to get them reabsorbed). Eruptions are itching.

I usually select remedy on the basis of symptoms ONLY: calcarea was first and sepia second. Sepia moved to the lead... when I learned that you actually dance flamenco! Very scientific way.
In Bailey's "Psychology of homeopathic remedies" sepia is called "an independent woman" - certainly not resentful or bitter.I'd say the profesional, quite opinionated, NOT yielding like pulsatilla.
The problem with such psychological descriptions of remedies is that they differ from author to author- so usually it is best just to ignore it (except maybe when you can't decide between 2 or more remedies and it helps you to select one: like I can "see" sepia as the one who dances flamenco).

Views of some authors are also more accepted than those of others among homeopaths: Bailey is, also Rajan Sankaran.
(but it basically is NOT the
homeopathy per se)

Astra2012 last decade
Since we have ventured into this area I will say more about sepia woman.
Some women love to be stay-at-home-moms and are fully satisfied with cleaning/cooking/laundry etc BUT NOT SEPIA.She has the inner need to work her skills out of home.
Maybe in a way she resents her husband and children for "clipping her wings" but I don't think she adopts a martyr's role - on the contrary!

Betty !

When your friend received homeopathic help from the Forum ....whose analysis and recommendation helped???

Now about the CYST.

Just before you got the Cyst, did you get innoculated (injected) for some thing allopathically ??

How is the bowel movement??

State of your gums??

Best,
Pankaj Varma

PANKAJ VARMA last decade
Astra...in the "drug pictures" of Sepia and Hepar Sulf. where did you find the mention of a CYST ????

PANKAJ VARMA last decade
Pankaj-you must be kidding! These are basics!
In homeopathy you do not treat a cyst, or any other physical pathology, but the whole human being.
(I never suggested hepar here)

Astra2012 last decade
Hi Astra and Pankaj,
I never asked my friend about the name of whom she consulted with in this forum. I can ask her if you need to know.
no, I never had an injection at that time. I had a lot of antibiotic injections as a kid though.
the bowel movement was very good but recently I have experienced constipation frequectly and sometimes I really have to push (maybe a side effect of sulphur).
my gums are very healthy.
I was thnking about sticking to sulphur for 3 more doses (for each remedy I have to take 8 doses) and then switch to calc carb.
let me know what do you think.
thanks,
Betty

Desperate for help last decade
Hello Betty,
Stick with sulphur for these 3 doses (your body tells you it doesn't feel bad, right?)then have 2 weeks off before taking calc-c.
It's only one single dose of 200c. Not at all like LMs.
