Homeopathic remedy - Detoxification - question

My 10 years old daughter is using Tuberculinum LM1 3 glass dilution for her eczema.

We've just seen an acupunturist today and she was prescribed with an oral liquid named Elimitona. It's supposed to assist Detoxification, aid digestion and help relieve constipation. It contains some homeopathic ingredients as follows:

- Benzoic acid 6C
- Berberis aquifolium root bark 6X
- Carbo Veg 6X
- Crataegus monogyna fruit and flowering herb top 6X
- Merc. Sol. 12X
- Nux vomica seed 6X
- Silicea 6C
- Sterculia acuminata seed 5X

The dosage to be taken is 5ml twice a day and for 20 days. He also warned us about a possible eczema flare up only for 1 day when takking this medicine.

My concern is if it is a safe practice to take this oral liquid together with Tub. Will this homeopathic remedies combination complicate the treatment plan?

I'm also worried about the flare up warning, is there anyway we can avoid that.

Any input would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

How is your daughter coming along? Like Dr. D. said, so many different homeopathic remedies at one time may not be a great idea. even if for no other reason, you won't be able to know what is doing what....

My dd is recovering from another bad infection. For the body, she only has rashes in her 2 legs and feet. No visible rashes in her trunk, but the itch is still nearly the same. The worst area is her head (face, scalp, earlobes and neck) - red all the time, itchy with infected (yellow crusted) scratches here and there. This worries me because the derma said the stubborn e in her head will soon deteriorate the other areas' condition and I find it true. The last infection was due to she scratched her head and spread germs from there.

To us, the itchiness in her trunk and the e in her head are 2 big problems. The homeopath didn't know why either. She prescribed Sulphur and Nat Mur on top of Tub for these but they didn't help much.

Thank you for asking. All the same, I just wonder how are you, your wife and your son doing?

it should be relatively simple to prescribe ONE remedy for all of the symptoms. Look on homeoint books online. Look in BOERICKE's repertory (skin section) for the symptoms you described. Then, examine in Boericke's MATERIA MEDICA section the different remedies indicated strongly in the repertory (the ones in italics and bold).
This may take some time, but the results should be satisfactory.
Good luck!

Your homeopathy sounds like he or she may be struggling with your case... especially if the 3 remedies were in close succession. I know it takes time. are there any others in your area you could see for a second opinion?

My son's eczema is gone, but, he health is not completely back to normal yet. we still can't feed him many foods. he gets watery or very dark stools, and his behavior gets eratic. he still gets some hives as well. Our homeopathy is sticking with sulphur 200c for now (about one dose a month for the past few months).

I took my first dose of lycopodium 200c this past week. got sick with a horrible cold soon after. even still, my skin improved. the best it has been in two years. although I did notice a few red bumps appear between my fingers today. all in all, the progress continues.

I hope you and your family find some relief.

Hi Jacob

Thank you for your suggestion.
Actually, my dd is a difficult case. With limited knowledge on homeopathy, I'm not confident to prescribe the remedies myself. But thank you for your response.

Yes, we've thought abt finding another homeopath but I doubt that we could find a good one as homeopathy is not very popular here.

All the best to you and your family. Take care.

Dear Dr Sharma

I've just done some reading on homeopathic remedies for eczema (from my local library's book). I think my dd's eczema type now is moist eczema : her head area is red with honey-like discharged lesions. The eczema in her arms and legs are blister-like (dishydrotic eczema), very itchy. This is a new change from the previous dry eczema (dry, rough, red raised eczema patches) after she took the Carcinosin and Tuberculinum. Also, I think Graphites is her constitutional type. My questions are:
- what is the dose for her (She's 10, abt 25kg)? I'd like to start with the gentlest dose as she's very sensitive, prone to aggravations when on homeopathic remedies.

- How long after stopping Tub LM1 can she start on Graphites? She's been taking Tub LM1 3 glass dilution twice a day.

- What should she abstain from when on this remedy?

Thank you
