Hormones

Hi,

I have serious problems with hormones. My cycle is 18 days 11 or 12 of which are horrid PMS. This despite the fact that I have had a hyst and only have one ovary left. What I am wondering is will homepathy help at this point or should I look into bio-identical hormones?

Thanks...

Hi thank you for taking the time to reply. Below are my answers. Thank you in advance.

1. Describe your main suffering?
For the PMS it is extreme water retention, abdominal distention (I go from flat 27 inch stomach to a swollen 35 inch stomach - 24/7 for the duration of the PMS), dry skin, fatigue, depression, anger, crying, anxiety.

I have also been getting headaches and backaches daily for two weeks, I feel fatigued, I have food intolerances, and I have a dull pain in my calves.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?
Dull pain in calves, upper back ache and headache for 2 weeks now, possible metal toxicity, fatigue (less than during PMS), food intolerances, take HCL when I eat because stomach does not produce any, thryoid problems (I take armour thyroid), adrenal insufficiency

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?
Depression, occasional hopelessness, frustration, anger, resentment over past decisions that may have made things worse, anxiety

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst? Describe the sensation in your own words.
Depressed and hopeless like I don't want to go on - I don't want to die, I just don't want to live like this anymore

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?
In 2002 I was on antiobiotics 3 times and I believe it messed up my gut/flora, I also got married and had increased stress as well as job changes that caused stress for along time.

6. Which time of the day you are worst?
Evenings ordinarily but during PMS all day.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same? Example- time, temperature, pressure, rubbing, washing, eating, tight clothing etc.
Having to get dressed when I feel swollen is stressful, eating out is stressful due to food intolerances, eating is boring and frustrating (I never feel full and have very limited choices), being able to relax - not having responsibilities - makes me feel better

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?
We did move 3 months ago I believe the increased stress may be making things worse, the house we live in is old and I suspect a mold issue

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
Makes no differnce but when I feel good I prefer warm weather; during PMS and when I feel bad in general I prefer cloudy/rainy weather as long as I can stay inside. IF it's nice outside I want to be outside but I hate getting dressed when I Feel swollen.

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.
Ordinarily I am somewhat quiet and positive; other people say I am very caring and encouraging, here lately I am depressed and very indecisive

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?
I like them

- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?
Yes

- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?
No

- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
Weeping, talking to one self etc?
No

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?
We have marital issues and are in a new place where I don't really have any friends yet; I have email friends that I love

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?
I often used to dream that my husband left me but that's been a while; my fear is that I will never be healthy again.

12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?
I love any kind of animal protein (beef, chicken, ostrich, buffalo, pork, etc.) and could eat tons of it - a lot more than I allow myself to eat. I like the fatty cuts and particulary like ground meats just sauteed in a pan with some salt; I love breads adn stuff but don't eat them and can't say taht I crave sweets unless I start eating them and then I crave more and more and have a hard time stopping.

13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?
It seems excessive at times.

14. How is your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Excessive

15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand?
Not that I can think of.

16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs?
I drink green tea, white tea, or decaf when I get up. Sometimes I will have sweat running down my sides with any smell, and other times my underarms are just slightly moist and I have a bad sweaty smell. It seems worse the more caffeine I drink. I haven't figured out when it happens and when it doeesn't or whether there is any consistency like during PMS, etc.

17. How is your bowel movement and stool type?
I have a bowel movement every morning and it's typically formed but soft. I take roughly 1,200 mg magnesium at night and before taking that my bowel movements weren't as good or regular.

18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?
I sleep well now that I take 1,200 mg of magnesium at night and I typically sleep in my side (right or left), my kness bent, and a pillow between my knees.

19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general?
I have very few sexual desires these days so yes.

20. Do you have any strange, peculiar or unusual symptom or feelings? How are you different from others?
I don't think I am different from others.

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?
I am taking Armour Thyroid 3X a day 60 mg each.

22. What major diseases are running in your family?
None that I am aware of.

23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance.
(For Females)
I am 5'8' tall with medium brown hair slightly longer than shoulder length. My face is pretty and I have hazel colored eyes. My upper body is very lean and defined, my stomach is flat when I am not reacting to food or PMSing and I have long legs. I personally think my thighs are too big and flabby but people tell me that's not true.

24. If your menstrual cycles are not normal, please describe the irregularities, like pains, moods, flow type, clots etc.
I have only one ovary - the right one. My uterus and left ovary were removed vaginally in 2003. At the time and after the surgery I had 28 to 45 day cycles and 12 to 14 of those were PMS. In 2004 I started sublingual progesterone as prescribed by a doctor and started to have regular 28 day cycles with mild PMS lasting 4 or 5 days. Since September 2006 my cycles have been getting shorter and the PMS longer. I now have 18 day cycles and 11 to 12 of those days are PMS. The symptoms are water retention, abdominal distention (I go from flat 27 inch stomach to a swollen 35 inch stomach - 24/7 for the duration of the PMS), dry skin, fatigue, depression, anger, crying, anxiety. The water retention and big stomach are 24/7 every day of PMS and the other symptoms vary. some days I have joy despite PMS other days I will cry often or get very angry very easily and slam things or scream at my dogs with then produces guilt.

25. What major diseases have you had in your life and when. Please write them in a chronological manner.
I can't think of any but I was just tested for lyme disease because I had had a tick bite. Although it came back negative the doctor wants to put me on antibiotics because my symptosm (headache, backache, stiffness in right hip, dull pain in calves, fatigue) persist and because the lyme disease test is often a false negative. However, I had some of these symptoms in 2004 when I was diagnosed with heavy metal toxicity (mercury, lead, arsenic, copper, and some others) and underwent 2 years of weekly IV chelation with EDTA and DMPS. My white blood cell count also showed being low.

take three doses of SEPIA 200C on any one day at 4 hours interval in empty stomach.

you should take this dose set when you start having the physical and mental sufferings at the onset of your periods.

if you feel that there is a slight improvement in your mental symptoms like anger, depressions, weepiness etc. you should then take one dose every alternate morning for the days you are menstruating.

start the same remedy and dosage frequency during your subsequent periods.

i feel you should be cured in a few months.
