5 mo old infant w/severe reflux
Hi! i am the mom of a GERD infant..i have read the 'Remedy Finder' which had far too many sugg's to keep straight...my baby suffers from extreme esophogeal reflux, has had it since birth, but just recently diagnosed. (she has been given rx for it, i refuse to give, but am growing weary and considering out of desperation for her) i am currently giving her Nat. Phos 6x, one pill, 3x daily diluted in breast mlk or H2O...no good (this is 2nd full day). she suffers from many symptoms, which i will list b/c it is pertinent when diagnosing for homeopathy...wheezing, vomiting (1-2x per week), spitting up (several x/day), irritability, crying, sleeping only one hour at a time, falling asleep when at the breast continually, arching back, grunting, excessive salivation/chewing on tongue, sleeps only in swing or being held, uncomfortable on back, dry cough (has contracted pneumonia and several URI's since birth b/c of aspiration into lungs), recent lack of weight gain (no loss yet, just no gain); I know that there is an effective remedy for all of this, i am so sleep-deprived (hubby is out of town frequently) i can't figure it out myself. i am well-acquainted w/herbal medicine, not homeopathy. Willing to try. Thanks so much! She is 14 lbs, just turned 5 mos., so sweet, so much in pain.KellyBelly on 2007-04-08
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
please give her a dose of IPECACUANHA 30C one dose followed by another dose of 200C after 12 hours.
note the symptoms for the next few days. if she gets relief, you can give one dose of IPEC 200C during subsequent episodes of reflux.

Thank you for advice, but are the 30c & 200c different ? or can i give her 7 of the 30c's to equal 210c? will you pls be more specific for me? Thank you but i need to know all details b/c closest health store is 35 mins drive and i need to call ahead to make sure they have these before i make the trip there...

30c and 200c are the two different potencies of the same remedy.
one must start with a low potency for a child and thus, you need to give her 30c first.
please go to a nearby homeopathic store and they will guide you accordingly.
if its a liquid dose, give her 2 drops in a spoon of water as one dose. if its pellete, you can dissolve 2 pellets in a spoon of water and give her.

I am so sorry to continue replying, but much to my dismay, there is not a single store in my city (texas, does that explain it? statistically speaking, i live in the 2nd most overweight city in the US!) which sells the 200c of the ipecac.Would you sugg. that i purchase it online or something else? Am i not understanding correctly? one 30c to start, then two pellets of 30c thereafter? apparently, not many here are acquainted w/homeopathy. the homepathic dr. here isn't available until late May and i'd rather not wait that long for the poor little one....thanks for your patience! please forgive my ignorance and frustration. This is a large city and noone is concerned w/natural healthcare....we are trying to boost awareness...
