TMJ Treatment / Help

Hi,

Does anyone has experience treating TMJ with homeopathy? Can homeopathy take care of TMJ?

I am having pain in the right ear region in the joints/ear. Pains arise like somebody is pushing/poking in the ear from inside towards outside along with burning sensations. Also hurts when I swallow. Sometimes all of a sudden feels something (like a small tube/ligament)getting squeezed and hurts very badly. It/pain goes away (that something?) after I rub in the local area (right ear region / jaw joint).

I have been having this since 2-3 weeks and I am in quite a bit of pain. I had this problem few years ago which went away after doing some cold & hot packs. It is not working this time and have been taking Advil. Advil controls the pain but the problem comes back sometime after stopping the advil.

Initially, I did take Calc Phos 200 (2 doses), and later with Rhus Tox 30 for few days...has not helped.

I went to ENT specialist who found there was no infection/ problem etc. in my ears etc.

Any suggestions to cure / solve the problem?

Appreciate all the help.

Hello Dr. Deoshlok,

Thanks for your reply. I read the thread on TMJ; very nicely written.

With due respect, I have a few questions:
1. Can a generic prescription help all the cases of TMJ?

2. Will taking 200 potency frequently cause provings of the remedy?

Reading from your article and in general on TMJ, I feel that the disc may be damaged and dislocated, thats why I feel sometimes that something in my jaws is getting in the way & hurts badly. I had a full panoramic X-Ray of the jaw and the condyles on both sides of the jaw are flat instead of having a concave curvature. If both sides condyles are flat, then why do I have pain only on one side... don't understand this.
Can the condyle or disc heal back with remedies?

Will Ruta or Arnica immediately control the pain of the TMJ? I have been surviving on Advil.

Thanks for all your help and sharing your medical experience.

Regards,
Rajan

seeing a chiropractor. They can adjust the joints and bones which can help that.
