What is your experience....does Phosphorus totaly cure catract or it just slows down the process?

Hi Nkjaya,
Cover once left and then right eye so you will know if either eye
a.has more blurred vision?
b. when you look at some light (like turned on lamp) you see colored circles around it (halos)?
2.you feel mucus in your eyes?or dust (like sand)? Do you actually have mucus in either eye?
Washing your eyes helps what? cataract (if it is cataract: please see eye doctor!) mucus or dust? Anything else brings relief?
Cold air is worst for what?
It is just more time or you are also more thirsty in the mornings and evenings (by the way I think it's great that you drink so much water!)?
Rainy or sunny weather is all the same for you? cold or warm?
Do you eat dairy (cheese eggs)? Some vegetarians have aversion to meat (as I do) but some do not mind eating e.g. tofu tasting like steak-do you think you have aversion to meat?
Do you wear contacts sometimes?
how much time do you spend in the sun?
Please seek medical opinion too-eyes are very important.

had gone to the optician for power checkup, but he did not say anything about my supposed cataract. But thanks Pankaj and Astra. The cineraria and CF seem to be working, though have not been able to put the drops 4 times due to office work pressure. put them twice positively, and maybe thrice if am free for a short time.

Infact when some one helps with the case taking I feel quite relieved.....becos I am always hard pressed for time.
I do a full days job, have family responsibilites etc. and now days the festival season in India.
I have to do a fair amount of travelling also becos of my main profession (which is different from homeopathy ).
I hope this explains.
Reg. homeopathy....you know even eminent homeopaths have difference of opinion.
While I might differ with some-one, I will still go through the persons post in full to understand what he/she is saying.

That was when i went for eye check up around 2-3 months back. then also saw the whiteness and was getting blurred vision. My BP is normal 120/80 and otherwise am quite well. no diabetes though doctors do suspect it and have had my blood tested again n again. had a bad case of facial warts.. the cauliflower kind 6-7 years back which were cured by several doses of Thuja in different potencies. now at times my legs swell up a lot and ache. no other problem as such.not in the sun mostly but from the last 3 months am looking after the making of a factory and have to be for some time. no contacts. wear glasses with progressive lens. the power for far vision is quite low, less than one but have the deviations like angle, spherical. weather all same, i dont mind the heat too.
both eyes are equally affected. some mucous as such so wash my eyes as often as i can.
Cant remember anything else.

I have never met a vegetarian with high BP! Never read about any correlation between diet and BP but there must be some.
Some sun-esp close to the sunset and sunrise, is actually very good for eyes: even if you could take only 5-10 min off your schedule and "bathe" your CLOSED eyes in the setting sun it would be great for them.

Prescription given on 29/10 does work. I have never got results with ceneraria. Nor do I prescribe Causticum for Cataract. To my mind its main affinity is not for eyes. It works for other problems.

I am a pure veg but have High BP as well as diabetes. My mother and grand mother were also veg to the extent they didnt eat cakes or ice cream. they died of high BP.
so does whole of my mom's family- her brother and sister as well as her aunties and uncle (mother's sister and brother)
Dont think there was any co-relation bertween diet and BP as they ate simple non spicy food.

My watrs were under my nostrils and thank God they have gone now. took around a year. no more repitition of thuja. Took it in potencies ranging from Q to cm.
re: sun bath of eyes can do it in the morning. will try it. in office too many people come so have no time to drink water too on certain days.
Like sweets and sometimes crave for them. but do not eat everyday or even every week.

Prescription given in the beginning works. Causticum has strong affinity to extremeties & paralytic affections. I never would prescribe it for cataract. Cenararia has mostly disappointed me. It does'nt work even after long time.

Maurya: accord. to Norton's "Ophthalamic diseases" causticum is one of the main hom.rem. for cataract, indicated esp. when there are symptoms like feeling of sand in the eyes! or white tongue!
(however it doesn't crave sweets, on the contrary-and I wondered if it is that important (besides it may be considered a right side remedy and here both eyes are affected evenly)-esp. that it has warts in its picture (unlike,say, phosphorus).
Even calcarea and sulphur would be more indicated here on the basis of info given.

BP is supposed to be related to heridetary causes.Nothing to do with Veg or non.veg.
Your biofeedback theory also is interesting.This is the first time I am hearing.

It worked for my mother-but I don't think it was hereditary.
Rather stress-related and maybe only in such cases it works... (she eats meat)
I wonder why it is hereditary. Narrower vessels? heart contracts stronger?Since Childhood? (actually all children have higher bp than adults)

Yes Astra i have started using the drops and CF, but in Jamshedpur there is so much pollution that the rising son or setting sun has no light as such in winter. the drops and CF have helped a bit though too early to say much.

You are taking only cf and not all 12? 3 of tissue salts were reported to help in cataract (even cure) calcarea fluorica, calcarea phosphorica and silica. The best way is just to take all `12.

I was keen to know Inderjeet's view as he appeared to have experince in this area.
Ofcourse, Phosphorus deals with a lot of eye symptoms. It is also good for Retinal hemmoraghe (RTH).....provided again the overall symptoms match.
Since you are so much into solving eye problems...other meds for RTH are Lachesis, Crotolus and Gelsemium.
Plumbum Met.also covers many eye problems. (Though not Catract).
Is there a permanent cure for Catract in homeopathy ?
Would like to know the views of others.

So, what would you advise Nkjaya? the 2 main remedies for him seem to be causticum (he has history with warts, white tongue, sensation of sand in eyes - but is basically right-sided!) sulphur (left to right side, so both are involved just left first and it's sometimes hard to notice, also white tongue and sensation of sand in eyes;and unlike causticum it may crave sweets; it also has swelling of the legs but is low on warts, as causticum is low on swelling)
That's why I asked why he wouldn't take them.
(Besides there is calc-c phos even lyc, sep and puls but now too far.)
(I was lucky to have detached retina heal with gels and phosph - but not cataract (yet) /Under "dense cataract" here is (I think) phosp kind of cataract with e.g. black spots floating before the eyes.

1. do you get corns on feet?
2. soles of the feet cracked?
3. any tooth ache....where?
4.Sleep and inclination to sleep ...describe....both about night and day.
5. When you had headaches.....did the headaches increase with exposure to the sun?
