I don't understand why people take aconite routinely for fevers.

It is indicated for high fevers that come suddenly on exposure to cold dry winds/fright/shock.

I am yet to use aconite for fevers. You need it very rarely.

The indications for Bryonia too are very clear. You must have the typical aggravation from movement, even moving the eyelids hurt, and you feel very dizzy when tring to get up. It is indicated for fevers that are a precurser to typhoid.

Fevers with sore throat respond to Bell well, and if no relief is found after a few doses, you can try out hepar sulph.

You can take ferrum.phos 6X, 4 tablets once in 2 hours.

Come back if the fever returns and give all details.

The details about your thirst, the location and sensation of pain, and what makes you overall feel better/worse are to be given.

Give all the details about the concomitants like cough, sweat, sore throat, body pains etc.

Yes. All these medicines are indicated for complaints arising from exposure to dry, cold winds.

But only some of them are indicated for fever arising from exposure to dry cold winds.

Very few are indicated for SUDDEN high fever arising from exposure to dry cold winds.

The time gap between exposure and the development of fever is very short in Aconite.

The hepar fevers develop rather late after exposure.

These finer distinctions are to be mastered by the homeopath, if he wants to achieve success.

Mechanical use of the repertory leads us no where.

The medicines are to be studied in comparision to one another.

The causticum';s complaints on exposure to dry cold wind have more to do with facial paralysis, and less with fevers.

What are the likely concomitants?

What are the main differentiating factors?

If you study the repertory and remedies this way, you can become a good homeopath after a few years of study.

Antibiotics are useless for 'viral' infections. I don't understand why some doctors prescribe antibiotics like this.

Sore throat some times is caused by bacterial infections too, but it can only be confirmed by doing a culture test.

Were you advised to undergo a culture test?

Any way, since you have already started allopathic treatment go along with it for now.

I seem to have exactly similar symptoms for a long time. I have taken nat mur for last 6 months and symptoms seemed to improve a bit. Although, not completely gone. I would be intersted in how you do with lycopdium.

I also do have the other symptoms like acidity, gas etc. Talk about similar sysmtoms.

I would like to clarify, that I have same symtoms of burning skin in sunlight or after exercise. It comes suddenly and goes when I cool down. At night I wake up in middle of night due to itching or burning skin when my body temperature rises. In general skin is always itchy in several areas. Even wind from fan will make me slightly itchy in spots. Nothing about the viral fever.

I also face this winter allergy problem frm last year, in winter season i hav problem from sun light and any physical work like running,exersice and spicy, hot food . i feel any work which genrates blood circulation fast and genrate heat in body cause the allergy.same symptoms as discuss before i.e. itching start on body with like burning skin and red pimples comes like heat wants to comes outside form those pimples and after some times those pimples goes and i feel normally. But i also want to say that these symptom also comes in my younger brother which is 1 yr younger than me.frm last yr he also sick form this allergy. when i need to go in noon i take avil25 for temporary cure. pls tell why this problem happens, is it create problems for my other faimly members.i m 21 yr old student of CSE engg.
