period for 2 months! help!

I need some advice on what to do. I recently went to see a naturopath to treat my irregular and prolonged period that i have been having for almost 2 months now. I am 19, and have always had irregular periods but they usually dont last this long. It is mostly like spotting or really light flow. He perscribed me Silica 1M to take but said it could take upto a month to work.

Is there anything that will stop the bleeding faster? i dont want to wait a whole month for the bleeding to stop :(. Are there any foods? teas? other homeopathic remedies that can stop the bleeding fast? The regular gyno wanted me to take birth control pills but i really dont want to because of side effects. so please post any advice you have. Thank you

the effect of SILICEA can be seen up to a month. its better to wait as we believe your homeopath must have taken the case well and concluded on silicea.

after a month or so, if you do not feel any change in your condition, you can put down your symptoms and someone can take your full case here.

Hi Thanks so much for your reply. I had one more question. I just took the 4 silica 1M pills. I was told there arent any side effects or anything bad. I have never taken any homeopathic medicine before so i am just a little paranoid i guess but the silica wont make me feel like dizzy or weird later in the week will it? just curious

A naturopath I saw about a week ago prescribed me it. It is for prolonged spotting/period and to regulate my period. I have been spotting/bleeding for almost 2 months now. So he gave me the silica 1M- 4 pills, and then take that same dose in 2 weeks. I read the description of the silica personality and most of the descriptions fit me. So i guess thats why he gave this one to me.

So I took the silica 1m that the doctor prescribed me, but it didnt work...I am still bleeding. I took the first dose 2 weeks ago on nov 4, and the following day and week I had no bleeding ( I got really excited) but then it started bleeding again and hasn't stopped. I took the 2nd dose 4 days ago and it is still bleeding. If anything I am bleeding a lot more these past 4 days. What should I do??? I got a red blood cell count to see if I was anemic, but I am not but I want to stop the bleeding, Its been almost 3 months now that I have been spotting! My regular doctor wants me to take Provera to stop the bleeding, but I dont want to because of side effects. Please help with advice.

Would progesterone cream do anything for me? I read somewhere that it can stop irregular spotting and regulate periods? is this true?

I had a pelvic ultrasound 2 weeks ago and the report said everything was normal. Although, the ultrasound technician did tell me that she saw a small cervical nabothian cyst? but in the ultrasound report from the doctor, he did not write anything about a cyst. So I am thinking she was wrong and it wasn't a cyst.

The report says this: '...normal size uterus measuring 8.0 x 3.0 x 4.2 cm showing no thickening to the endometrium. The left ovary measures 4.4 cm and the right ovary measures 3.7 cm' Impression: 'Negative pelvic ultrasound'

Hi
I have been dealing with the same problem since,I was 12. I have even been in the hospital for it twice.I am 22 now, when I was 21 I went to a doctor who took alot of blood work and I found out it was thyroid related.Maybe you should ask your doc to check for that problem as well.

I would like to share my experience with over perhaps 50 women whom I have treated for bleeding.

I have used Arnica 6c in the Wet dose taken thrice daily for a week and twice daily thereafter and the patients invariably reported that their bleeding stopped within about 6 hours and usually overnight.

Arnica is also very effective in the case of those who suffer from painful menstruation.

Please type Heavy bleeding into the Search Box on the Home page for further information on my cases over a long period.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack aka Liquid Dilution in a bottle with a dropper arrangement.
If this is not available the Dry dose in pellets may be use but this is not as effective as the remedy in the original Ethanol pack
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle or 5 Pellets and shake it hard to produce bubbles. This is homeopathic succussion and must be done every time before a capful of the bottle which is the dose is taken as directed.
