Scar Help

I have some small scars on my nose that are only noticeable in certain lights they make the appearance of the area look very lumpy (in fact like there is a double layer of skin) I am soon to have some skin peels and red light therapy and wondered in the meantime if anybody knew of anything that would help the area it can look very pale in colour compared to the rest of the area and look as if there is a second skin. I feel very conscious when in any bright lights

Any help would be really appreciated as it is making me feel quite upset and miserable.
