This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.

tretment for alcholism sulphuric acid is the best remedy in alcoholics.in europe, and othe countries, there are many, who are given regular drinking, which unfortunately kills them. treatment with sulphuric acid works wonder. A drop of sulphuric acid Q should be diluted in a whole glass of water which should be divided into three doses to be taken in one day many alcoholics who were considered incurable, recovered within a week of this treatment, and never touched alcohol again. in the field of remedy, there is nothing better than this therapy

Like, if I may ask for my own personal interest, where does this information come from? Crude Sulphuric acid?! This is one of the most corrosive substances known to man, and certainly not something which should be taken internally in crude form. Why also would it be apparently as 'beneficial' for smoking as it is for alcohol abuse? What is the mechanism involved?

Hell Jahland.

There are a number of remedies which are said to help break the smoking habit, but to be honest I have not seen much sucess with these.

Caladium will produce a state a disorientation when a cigarette is smoked.
Plantago is said to remove the craving.
Daphne Indica is another which is said to have this effect.
Personally, I think the craving is very deep rooted indeed, and for the most part is rooted in the very foundations of the constitution, which is why so many people go back to smoking, even after giving up for many years. Good constitutional treatment is therefore the only sure way to completely remove the habit.

Staphisagria though, unlike the other remedies, will remove excessive craving, as well as any chronic long term effects.

I hope this helps.

Hi Just an input here:

Sulphuric acid , one part, with three parts of alcohol, 10 to 15 drops, three times daily for three or four weeks, has been successfully used to subdue the craving for liquor - Hering. This quote is found in Allen's keynotes.

Also this has been discussed in the following link:

Hmm, interesting. It suprises me greatly that such a great Homoeopath as Hering would suggest crude doses of such a lethal substance, but then many of the old masters experimented with such things to further their own knowledge. I myself have ingested many 'poisonous' substances in crude form for this purpose, but I would never dream of giving these to patients, as the risk is far too great, and not ours to impose.

I stand by my original assertion that Sulphuric Acid (or any other highly 'toxic' substance') should never be given in crude form to patients, no matter who the source of information to the contrary may be.

I just wanted to let everyone know, I have been smoking for 13+ Years, I went to my Doctor and wanted to quit but I was sick of trying the route of patches, gums, etc. So I got a prescription called Champix( $57.77, Its a 12 week program). I Started taking it Jan 23, you start off taking .50mg for the first week ( you smoke the first week) in between Day 8-14 you pick a day to finally quit, on Day 8 it changes to 1mg therefore after. on Day 9 I decided would be my quit date, I will be honest I thought I would fail, I stayed strong and had the support of my Loving Fiancee. I was very irriated the first 2 weeks for the most part, just the small things would set me off, it was weird, but now I'm only into my 2nd package of the prgoram but I Do Not crave the dirty little habit !! even when I get stressed out to the point of pulling my hair out, I do not feel like I want/need it!! Might I add, I smoked up to 1 pack a day, or 1 pack every 2 days depending on how bad my days would be. All in all think of this, the program itself costs $350.00 all together, some peoples medical covers this and you can in fact claim this back (I have ) if you calculate what you've spent in the last 2 months on Cigarettes, you can see the Champix pays for itself and its money back in your pocket. If anyone has questions regarding the Champix let me know, I'm only into week 3 of the package but I'm now on Day 9 and free of it. It Feels Great.
