Oh, by the way, Sabra. I looked for the ferrum met today and it wasn't at the place I normally buy the homeopathics. If I am unable to find it at this other place, would any of the other ferrum ___ work? They had ferrum phosphorus, I believe.

FERRUM PHOS is good to have on hand. It is a different sort of remedy.
It is taken at the beginning of a not so serious illness, also to treat repeative colds.
The child is playing happily and the mother does not know the child is sick. The first sign is the child has convulsions. Fever may come later.
This is not written in stone, but guiding factors.
Read and choose for yourself as his mother.
You were concerned about the red face, and of course this it truely a firm symptom. I will look again.

Hi Sabra, I checked to see if the health food store could special order it and they can't but gave me a place to order it from. The ferrum met looks like it will suit him so well, I just ordered it. I have a good feeling about it.

Sabra, just wanted to update you and ask you some questions. My son took the ferrum met for a couple of days and it didn't seem to really do anything for him as far as the red face is concerned. It may have become slightly less red at times, but often became red again just as before.
Then he got a cold from me and the ferrum met didn't seem to be working on the cold, so I switched him back to ars alb. He is getting rid of his cold symptoms (runny nose and coughing) but still has the red face.
I read more about ferrum met and ars alb. The info on ferrum met says that the person cannot have physical exertion and is sluggish and slow. My son is a very "busy" boy and I have never thought of him as sluggish. He is also not pale as the information describes. There was just a lot on there that didn't seem to fit.
I also didn't seem to see a lot that matches him for ars alb but it seems to be doing something for him.
In my desire to understand and find the remedy that works for my son, I am wondering if I am doing what I often see people do when they are learning about something, and that is to take a little bit of information and confuse themselves or make wrong decisions, etc in the process?
If I put him back on the ferrum met, how long should I expect it to take for the ferrum met to do something for the red face if it is the right remedy?

Sorry to read that you hurt your ankle. I hope you are on the road to recovery.
I have some questions for you and you may also want to read the last entry that I posted (probably when you were down with your ankle).
I decided to give my son the ferrum met and was giving it to him once sometimes twice a day, but usually just once in the evening before bed. He has been doing fine. A little cough, a little nose running, but not major concerns.
The red face isn't as bad. I did notice that the left cheek is more red than the right sometimes.
The main problem right now is that he had some food that he hasn't had in a long time and had a reaction to it. He had lentil soup and rice that came out undigested in his feces. He also had cornbread that I made with rice flour and cornmeal which I think may be a bad thing for him. And some brownies, which I'm sure are not good for him. He has a bad diaper rash that we can't get rid of and wakes him up at night. It is splotchy almost pussy red. A little prickly looking.
I gave him some sulphur 6x but am wondering if the other remedies he's already taking would help if I just increased the frequency.
Thanks for all your help. I do think it is helping him to take the homeopathics. I am not nearly as nervous and worried when he has a cough or sniffles anymore.
