High Blood Pressure
Although I don't intend to treat this myself I am curious to know if/how someone who has high bloodpressure can be weaned off allopathic medicine and treated with homeopathy. Is that a risky process? I have read a good deal about homeopathy and can offer that my Mom is a natrum mur with a strong note of arsenicum. She actually asked me this question. Thank you in advance for any insight you can offer.Blossom on 2008-02-15
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
This is absolutely safe to treat a patient who is taking allopathic medicines for hypertension, with homeopathic remedies.I prefer for such patients to be treated for their root cause rather than treating with formula homeo medicines.Because Formula medicines will work just as palliative.

Thank you for you reply Dr. Tahira. Would the homeopathic treatment start while my Mom was still on her allopathic medicine for high blood pressure? Just exactly what is the process?
Is it a homeopathic treatment while closely monitoring her blood pressure and weaning her off the 'drugs'? Once again I'm not going to take this into my own hands. I'm simply curious about what homeopathy can do.
(I have been reading up on classical homeopathy so the mixed formula homeopathic remedies don't appeal to me.)
Many thanks for your thoughts.

Blossom,
Welcome. In chronic patient, it is safer to decrease allopathic medicines gradually rather than stopped at once.A careful homoeopathic treatment brings the patient to a stage where allopathic medicines can be discontinued.Homoeo remedies are proved to be more effective than conventional medicines. As far as homoeopathy concerns, mental symptoms sounds more powerful than physical symptoms. This is my personal experience during practice.
