what to take after sepia

I took sepia 30c (a single dose) for my hot flashes. They entirely went away for a month but then started again. When I took another dose nothing happened. I was told by a homeopath that it was the wrong remedy but the next most likely seems to be pulsatilla and I understand that I should not take this after sepia because it is too similar, so what should I do?
I know that the personality picture is different however I am torn between the two. Whilst I normally feel very needy and want attention when the symptoms are accompanied by a headache then I want to be left alone and don't even want to be touched.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hmm.. if I were you, I would take a SINGLE dose of Sepia 200C. But ofcourse, your homeopath might have a valid reason for moving onto Puls.

However, if you were without hot flashes for a month, why move to a new remedy before trying the same one in a higher potency?

I thought that might be a good option but didn't want to take the chance. I am not seeing the homeopath anymore, I didn't feel she was very good. She started me off taking sepia, lachesis and camphor all at once, and I was getting no better. Doing my own research I soon discovered that the sepia and lachesis don't work well together. The option of pulsatilla was my own decision. It sounds very like me except that my mood is currently improved and also I don't like to sleep with more than one pillow.

Remember , no two remedies are taken together in homeopathy.

You take 1-2 doses of a SINGLE medicine, and if it gives benefit, you wait without taking any doses till it gives benefit (at times this waiting needs to be weeks or months) and if the symptom picture still corresponds to it once the improvement ceases (like you are 40 % better but no further improvement happening) , you take the same medicine in a higher potency to get further improvement, else you move onto the next remedy.

Hope this helps.

I agree with sameervermani and appreciate his genuine suggestions. Actually, the treatment with a single remedy is the basic principle of homoeopathy. Thank you Mr. Sameer Vermani!
