Intensity of flashes seems to be diminishing a bit. I am better in the daytime, worse in the evening and immediately after going to bed. Bed is too hot. Still worse for movement. However I am feeling very unwell. cramping pains in lower abdomen and a feeling like trapped wind for 2 days. feel nauseous, may also have a bit of a fever, definitely having chills yesterday and had a very disturbed sleep. Feeling emotionally sensitive. Had head pains for a day prior to this, like round spots of pain at the back, side and top of my head, towards the right side and moving around. these have now gone.

Before I take anything else here is another update.
Abdominal pains have gone, fever has gone, feeling much better overall. No headache, Hot flashes are variable, they get better for a while and I think I am improving then they come back again, there doesn't seem to be a pattern except that they are a little worse in the evening and much better during the night. I still feel cold the rest of the time. Ne symptom - I am thirsty.

I am not making any more progress. It has been static for the last 4 days. I am better in the morning but get gradually worse as the day wears on, and easing up during sleep. Worse for movement and after warm food and drink. No other aches and pains. A little stiffness in my finger joints.

From the updates on 5/8 and 5/12, we should let Lachesis do all the good it can before interfering.
Repost symptoms if there are any changes.

I have followed the advice and just observed but I am no better. Should I be taking more doses or is this the wrong remedy? The only other physical symptom that I have is stiffness when I get up after sitting for a long time, but I am still emotionally vulnerable. Happy most of the time, prone to crying when I have a flash. cannot take any kind of criticism as I will get weepy.
When I was trying other things like herbal medicines etc, they mostly worked for a while. some worked for a month or two but then I seemed to become immune to them. Could this be classified as a symtom?

I am mostly just content and then I will suddenly feel weepy. I usually get over it quite quickly. It's not like a manic swing from one extreme to another. I like sympathy from my husband but I don't expect or particularly want sympathy from friends. I prefer to keep it to myself. I am quite a private person.

Reading your updates on 5/8, 5/12, 5/19 and 5/20, I get a feeling that things have improved substantially and situation is not unbearable. If that is so, it is better not to interfere. If situation has changed, pl post symptoms.

The improvement that I had was very short lived, as I said they kept coming back. The flashes are now back to previous levels, hot and frequent. The sweat had abated but that is back too. This is how it has been for the last 10 days. I don't really have any other symtoms. I feel pretty good inbetween times but they often reduce me to tears because I am just so frustrated by it, more so in the evening but then I have to keep my guard up whilst I am at work all day.

Please take one dose of Ignatia 30 and report feedback.
Also procure Lachesis 200 and keet it handy.

srisri, I really appreciate you persevering here but I have a couple of concerns.
I looked up ignatia and this really doesn't sound like me. Maybe I didn't explain it very well. I don't have big mood swings, mostly I am just my normal self, just occasionally finding this all too much and becoming weepy and sorry for myself.
I am also a bit worried about a 200C dose of Lachesis. I am very worried about aggravation. I have been back through all my logs and it seems to me that I get quite a strong reaction except that it seems to take longer to start the reaction than I would normally expect. I'm really scared of feeling any worse!

I may have been exposed to a virus or something but I have new symptoms since last night:
tightness in chest, dry cough, pain at base of throat (left side), sneezing.
legs feel stiff and achy, feet hurt when I first get up. Wrists hurt like they are dislocated and need to 'click' back. Nausea.
If this is a bug, can I take something for it without upsetting the present treatment?

forgot to mention - I am having a lot of falling hair again. It had stopped for a while but the last couple of weeks has been getting worse again.

Are you restless and constanly changing position?
If it is not beyond 24 hrs since first appearance of the symptoms, take a dose of Aconite and observe. Repeat as necessary. If it is beyond 24 hrs, try Ferr Phos 6X - few doses a day.
Hair fall - When did this go down? Is it after Sulphur?

Hair fall was much improved when I was on the sulphur.

Acute symptoms have abated, I still have stiff legs, especially when I have been sitting a while, also my feet ache for a minute or so when I stand up. As for the chronic problem my husband remarked that I seem to be back to square one and that is exactly how it seems to me. All the improvement was short lived, it is just as if we had done nothing.

Any further suggestions...? I am desperate enough to start all over again, I am jsut the asme as I was 2 months ago!

I never got the chance to take another dose of Lachesis as everything changed again. For the last four days I have been much better. The flashes are much less intense and less often. They are really good during the day and get worse about 6pm until the early hours of the morning (2 or 3 am), then they go away for a while. I am just waiting to see what happens next and have not taken any further doses. I also have a couple of very itchy areas - the back of left wrist and above the left knee. Does this mean that there are more illnesses surfacing?
