roseacea and lichen planas
my aunt is a 60 year female. she developed roseacea on her face 8 years ago. her face becomes red and blotchy in heat and in the sun. she also has lichen planas all over her legs. very very dry and hard patches with itchy skin. much more on left calf and left thigh. whole body itches in the night. please help her.danrather on 2008-07-15

female. 62. widow housewife. since 5 years roseacea. hardening of skin and dry violent itching since 4 years. exact location left fromm ankle to knee and new one developing from knee to thigh. dont know cause. no other suffering. mentally accepted it as part of life. all started 5 years back. roseacea aggrevates on the face in warmth and heat. cold air or ice makes it better. the lichen planas she wants to scratch till it bleeds. after bleeding it stings then there is relief. slightly cloudy and cool weather. crave for bread. dont like very very sweet deserts. thirst normal. hunger excessive. bowel everyday and normal. sleep very peaceful. no dreams. no peculiar feelings but i lack confidence and am fearful. i have taken staphygaria 30 for one month there was no improvement so i left it. after one year of being bad on its own it became better for 3 years but last one year it is extremely bad. fat and short. menses finished before this started. my mother had same skin problems as myself and staphysgaria controlled it. many thanks.
