chronic lung infection
My great aunt is 74 years old. She has a chronic lung infection that antibiotics don't seem to help. She has been to several doctors including specialists and they've all said they can't do anything. She has a deep cough, and coughs up yellow and green mucous that smells of rotten eggs. She says she can only feel one of her lungs. I think the reason the infection won't heal is because there is dead tissue. Please help.Gwen7 on 2002-11-28

how do you get a lung infection, I have one along with a sinus infection?

Infections of all kinds are due to a lowered function of the immune system. A fully functional immune sustem will throw off these problems.

Dear Gwen, if there truely was dead tissue, there would be much more symptoms and extreme illness. It sounds as if the lung is full and therefore not felt as being used in normal function.
BARYTA CARB is very good for older persons with severe lung, cough, mucus problems. Difficulty expelling the mucus.
A lower dose in 15X or 30X should be used. Place 5 big pellets, or 10 small ones in a (new) bottle of drinking water, shake vigorously. Sip every hour until some improvement shows. If no improvement within 48 hours please let us know.
When the bottle gets a little low, add more water and shake. No more remedy.

never been on a forum,so sorry if i do anything wrong. found this while looking up a remedy i've been given to help bring up mucus, which is almost impossible to do, FEELS like it set in my lungs!and i can feel little bits of grit in it.( i have copd, asthma and angina,also bronchiectasis)
My question is after reading the post by Sabra on Baryta Carb,I have been given Stannum Metallicum 30c,by doctor at hospital.I've not noticed any improvement, do you think it is worth having a go with Baryta Carb, would appericate any help. thankyou
