chronic lung infection - help!

I am 29 years old and have had asthma that has gotten increasingly worse since age 18. I also have extreme allergic reactions to dust, mold, pet dander, and pollen. Last October, I got a soar throat that lasted for a few days. My lungs became infected and I had extreme difficulty breathing. I had a fever, chills, and coughed up green mucus from my lungs. I went to a clinic and was prescribed prednisone and biaxin (antibiotic) for 10 days. I was also prescribed Advair 250/50, which is an inhaled steroid, and I took that for one month. I took the medications because I was entering respiratory failure. When I told my chiropractor, she told me this was an extremely lethal combination of drugs to take and that I should never do this again. I became more conscious of my health, rested more, got more excercise and quit smoking (in october). In february, I got a flu which turned into an extremely painful earache. I was again prescribed antibiotics, which I took because the pain was so extreme. My earache went away but I think I'v ehad a Candida overgrowth from all this antibiotic taking.
Last week, I had some abdominal pain after eating, and then I got a severe soar throat. The infection again entered my lungs, causing extreme difficulty in breathing, fever, chills, coughing that produced green sputum, shortness of breath, and fatigue from even climbing a flight of stairs or walking around the house. I went to the clinic where I was again prescribed prednisone (starting with 40 mg the first day, then down in 5 mg increments each day for seven days) and Biaxin. I told the doctor I didn't want to take prednisone again, especially with the antibiotics, and she told me this was the only way to avoid respiratory failure. She sent me to the ER where I had an albuterol therapy treatment and was seen by an ER doctor who prescribed the same prednisone/antibiotic mix. when I told him I didnt' want to take this, he told me the same thing - that I had no choice, and that this was the only way to not go into respiratory failure. So two days ago I started taking the prednisone, and slowly it has helped my lungs to minimally function. I was prescribed 1000 mg of Biaxin/day. I took 1 500 mg Biaxin two days ago, and 1 500 mg Biaxin yesterday but I now feel like I shouldn't be taking the antibiotic and want to stop. Is it ok to stop taking the antibiotic once I've started? Is there a homeopathic remedy that will work just as well in fighting the infection? My Doctor tells me I must take what I was prescribed, my chiropractor tells me I must not. Also, is it ok to take DHEA and other immuno-supportive remedies when on prednisone?
Sorry for the long post but I am scared and confused.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I would be scared too!

This should posted all over the net as an example of the problems that are caused by allopathic medication.

THe problem with Asthma is , that its the result of a damaged immune system -- whatever provokes the attack -- the problem is still a damaged immune system .

Probably down to vaccinations as a child -- over which this man probably had no control.

Cortico steroids [prednisone ] are suppressant that drives problems deep into the body -- it is addictive [like nicotine or cocaine] and homeopathic remedies are of difficult and limited use.

It also points up the absolute opposition between orthodox and homeopathic medicine. One heals the other kills.

This man deserves the best possible help that anyone in contact with the site can provide!.

my advice STOP TAKING THE ANTIBIOTICS!. Steroids are more difficult but cut them down to a point that you can tolerate.

Get a thick paperback book -- Health Doctor by A. Vogel , it will clue you in on the best diets etc.

In the meantime --

are you -- tidy/untidy
hot/cold feet in bed
Like salt , better at seaside
any warts or moles
skin tans easily?
red/auburn hair
eczema dry skin
what did the last 4/5 generations of your family die of?

try to stay calm -- easier said than done!

Hi - sorry, I should have put my gender - I am a woman. I am unfortunately untidy (trying to reform!), I tend to have cold feet in bed. I do like salt, and I live by the sea which I love. I feel unease when boating. I do have several moles on my face and back. My skin doesn't tan that easily but will burn pretty quick and then tan. I have brown hair and blue eyes.
Last generations died of:
my father died at age 56 from complications of Hep C (his liver failed from an overgrowth of cancer that had been undetected). His father died from Pneumonia he contracted after being hospitalized for his asthma in his 70s. My father's mother died at 93 from various degenerative diseases brought on by old age. My mother's mother is still alive (83) and very healthy. My mother's father died of complications that I think were exacerbated by alcoholism.
By way of more information, I have had bouts of serious depression for probably 15 years, which I treated from 2001-2003 with Wellbutrin. In 2003, I decided to stop taking the Wellbutrin, so I phased it out gradually, and now I take no anti-depressants, and while I experience mild depression from time to time, I have not had a severe depressive episode since before I started taking those meds.
I really appreciate the concern shown for me in the last post. It definately helps to know that people out there care!

More questions--
ask your mum if you ever slept with your bum in th air when young.
Also did you as a very young baby have bluey whites to your eyes .

Do you have fine hair long eyelashes and heart shaped face , enjoy travel.

You are 28 so the depression started when you were 13 was it more or less co incidental with the start of your periods.

Do wollen garments bother your skin.

I will check in with mom about sleeping position and bluey whites.
I have a lot of hair (won't fit in most barretts because of the volume of hair) that is very straight, and neither extremely thin or extremely thick. I do have long eyelashes. I have, I think, a round face.
Woolen garments bother me only when they've been sitting in the closet for over a month gathering dust. Otherwise, I don't think I have too sensitive skin. I have dandruff sometimes. I don't have eczema. I do have get pimples often, especially when I eat dairy foods or am under a great deal of stress.
I enjoy travel very much. I lived in China for a year when I was 20 and contracted the parasite ascarsis, which I didn't discover until I was back home a year later.
I think the depression does losely correspond with menstruation, which I began at age 12. I am sensitive to estrogen, and can't take a birth control pill without feeling insane.
I have since childhood bruised very easily, mostly over my legs. Sometimes my feet and ankles would bruise just from being in shoes. I am told (perhaps because of this) that I am vitamin c deficient. I crave citrus and other vitamin c rich foods.
I have a sluggish colon and feel that many health related problems I have might relate to lack of absorption.
I gained 15 pounds when I first started taking prednisone in oct and haven't been able to shed the weight no matter what I do. I sometimes have pain in my back where my kidneys are when I do things to start cleansing my body. I have a hunch that I am not metabolizing food properly and have put on weight in places that I usually don't, such as around my abdomen.
Is this helpful? Thank you passkey!

I think we have enough to start .
But the info from your mother may be very important .

I think we use Ruta 1m , one tablet on three sucessive nights
20 min after brushing teeth with non medicated tooth paste .

Wait a 2/3 weeks to judge results. In the meantime we can look at the info from your mother.

I just asked mom about sleeping position, and she cannot remember. She thinks I may have had blueish whites of the eyes, but is a little hazy on that, too. What is Ruta? Which syptoms does it address? By non-medicated, do you mean no mint in toothpaste?
Thank you so much for your insights.

Ruta Gravolens is a garden plant that has many qualities that seem to be in a line to help your condition.

There are records of it curing cancer , it is very good for bad knees and strained eyes. But check it out .

Yes no mint , eucalyptus , menthol any strong taste or smell.
