Hair Loss

Help please! I am only 21 years old and have significant hair loss. I tried the hair club for men for a year but took it off b/c it was too much trouble. I fear it worsened the condition b/c it is basically a wig glued onto your head. I am now interested in trying to regrow my hair using homeopathy. Some character traits of mine are:
Live in New Jersey, attend school in Washington DC, receding hair above the temples and thinning at the top and greater at the top, back portion of the head, crave sweet foods, think/worry constantly, dry but oily skin and scalp, scrawny build - 5'7'', 130 lbs., friendly but dislike large crowds.

Also, Does anyone know the effectiveness of bhringaraj oil or arnica oil in preventing or even reversing hair loss? I am not sure which one, if either, I should use. I was interested in using one for the scalp along with homeopathic medicines to help my balding.
Thank you.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.

Please do NOT apply any oil etc. on your scalp. Clean you skin with cotton applied with pure alcohol.

Dry you scalp completely after taking shower. Keep your hair short.

Please answer following questions:

1. Do you like sympathy/public-applause?
2. Dose your mood changes rapidly? Say, many time calm, but suddent become irritated or milancholy.
3. Do you like windows open for fresh air during sleep?
4. Do you fear ghosts, or when alone, or performing bad in public/stage etc...?5. Is the hair fall graduall (7-8 strands, each time you brush your hair) OR is it like a handful of hair comming out during bath etc?
6. Any problems with your sleep?
7. Observe you scalp, dry, oily etc..., dandruff?
8. Do you have cough... nose filled with yellowish matter?

Please tell more about your nature.

Why no oil on the scalp?

To answer your questions- I do like sympathy and public applause.
I am very emotional but my moods don't change very rapidly.
I don't like windows open when I sleep.
My hair is falling gradually.
I don't fear ghosts, but I do ot like to be alone.
My hair is oily with dandruff.
I cannot sleep for long periods of time and it takes me a while to fall asleep.
I do not have a cough or anything in my nose.
Thanks.

Try essential oils. Formula is here:

Archives of Dermatology
Vol. 134 No. 11, November 1998
(abstract is available online at no cost - Arch Dermatol. 1998;134:1349-1352)

Refer to short book by Margo, entitled "Growing New Hair" for a simple explanation and inexpensive solution.

In 1996, when I was 14, I first started experiencing the hair loss. It was very heavy. The hair loss did not worried me much because it was covered in the back and I still had a full head of hair but not in the front of my forehead as it is a family problem. My mother and my sister are also having less hairs in sides but I m having very less hairs as compared to them. My father is having a male-pattern baldness and my brother is also having less hair on the sides but my uncle and grandparents, at both sides, have head of full hairs. My hairs were very heavy initially. I am having gray hairs since age 12 or 13. Hair fall stopped for 2-3 years but after starting the job, I started applying henna on a regular basis in 15 days with amla, shikakai, and methi also. I did have some difference but condition then started to become worse. I am still applying henna once or twice in a month due to my gray hair problem. Two years ago, a skin specialist prescribed my Minoxidil which I used. Initially I found some difference but hair fall started again. Also after sometime, my scalp started to become itchy and irritated with small rashes and small eruptions and bumps with the application of Minoxidil, which were very painful when accidentally touched hard, so I stopped it. I January this year, a skin specialist recommended "Scalpe" shampoo which helped my falling hairs a lot but then my hairs became very weak and lost their texture and shine. Then, I stopped using it for a week and applied curd with 2-3 drops of mustard oil and a pinch or two of salt. After applying it, my hairs fell like never before. I used this remedy only 3 times. I again started using Scalpe but then it failed to benefit me in anyway. My hair fall came back and it is still there. I am still using Scalpe shampoo in the hope that someday my hair will stop falling. There is about 300-400 strands loss each day. I am taking 5-1/2-6 hour sleep each day. I am not feeling sleepy when I want to; instead at the time of work my eyes are very heavy. Also I am having the constipation problems but I do relieve on the daily basis. Whenever I am constipated, I have acne on my face and it becomes oily. Also I am having severe headaches whenever I am constipated. I am having a computer job and I have been working from the last 5 years. I underwent lot of situational stresses after when I was 15. I still do have but they are part of life but not as much as I was having 2-3 years ago. Vitamin and iron pills give me constipation. I drink a lot of water even when I am not thirsty. Please do suggest at its earliest possible as nothing has helped me till date and my hairs are becoming light with each passing day. Hair fall is biggest stress of my life.
