phlegm at the back of the throat??

Hai,
I have using this site for a long time now but never realised it had a forum :)
My 4.5yr old son has phlegm.I can hear it attimes when he talks. There are no other problems. But just that noise which i read is from the back of the throat.I am not sure.Chest etc are clear. It gets worse from perspiration especially of th head.So i gave him Merc sol but the phlegm does'nt go away completely.I also give steam inhalation.Have reduced the head baths to thrice a week from daily also.
Please advice.Thankyou very much for the time and help.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.

Get him off mucous-producing foods if possible. These are wheat, dairy, eggs primarily but there are others. Sugar also produces mucous.

Try to give him fresh vegetables and fruits instead. Meat is fine too.

ANTIM TART 30

Three doses in gaps of one hour...no more.

Chest should get cleared of phlegm in next 24 to 48 hours. (As a consequence there will be some increase in the coughing ...during the clearing out period).

Thankyou so much Sedora and Pankaj for replying.

'Hoarseness. Great rattling of mucus, but very little is expectorated.'

But in Ant tart this is the only symptom that he has.I am avoiding egg, dairy products and sugar as well.
He has no cough and this sound gets worse with perspiration. Was giving him Merc sol though effective its not going away completely.
Confused actually.
Why do you suggest Ant tart,Pankaj?
Thanks again.
