Uveitis

Thanx very much Dr. Vrushali for responding. I first got it in December, 2006. In right eye, I developed photophobia and pain. I saw an ophthalmologist when symptoms did not subside in 4 days. I was diagnosed Acute Anterior Uveitis and was put on several eyedrops-prednisolone, painkiller and antibiotic and same set by oral medication also. Symptoms subsided and i was fully cured in one month. Later on in December I was diagnosed with tubercular mediastinal lymphadenopathy for which I took ATT for 15 months. Treatment was over in Februaru, 2009 and disease fully cured as reflected in CT scan. In April I again got Uveitis symptoms in right eye-mild photophobia and pain. On very third day I started medication under guidance of an Ophthalmologist. It was mild this time and subsided with prednisolone eyedrops in just 20 days. Kindly suggest if there is a permanent cure in homeopathy to prevent recurrence. In homeopathy terminology I am a right-sided person-a lycopodium character. Plz adivice Dr. Vrushali.

Well, I have been taking homeopathic medication time and again for various symptoms but nothing for anything serious. I vaguely remember that my homeopathic practitioner with whom I have now lost contact told me that I could be a Lycopodium personality. I am now 51 years of age.

I came in touch with homeopathic medication sometime in 1996. Treated for C3-C4 cervical spondilytis with Calc Flour 1M (one dose)and Rhus Tox 200 (one week BDS). In subsequent periodic replapses which happened during rainy season, I always took the same medication.

During 1998 I had indigestion with gas and bloated stomach after meals. I was given Nux 1 M followed by Syphilinum 1 M and Lyco 1 M at weekly gaps. In between I was to take some pills named Lacto-- (i dont remember the name).

Around this period, I also got a spur in my right ankle cured through Homeopathic medication. (I dont know the name).

I have had minor digestive conditions like constipation, flatulence and bloating stomach since long but not of very serious nature. During 2005, I got boil in right side anorectal region. It was cured by Hepar sulph 200 (single dose. Reappeared on the same place after 6 mnths and it had to be drained this time surgically. After this, it recurrs in 1 - 2years and vanished on a single dose of Hepar Sulph 200. On account of severe constipation and flatulence, I frequently get-what you call as 3-day-piles. I am also looking for a remedy to cure constipation- I have now increased my daily water intake from just half a litre to one and half a litre.

I also take one dose of Bryonia 200 to control my sore throat, wheneva rarely I get it.

I control a mild stomach upset with a single dose of Ars Alb 200.

In indigestion because of occasional extravagance in food, I take a single dose of Nux Vom 1M in the evening.

These are the homeopathic medicines which suit me and act efficiently on my system.

Currently, for last 4 days, I am on Nat Phos 6X biochemic BDS after meals - trying to control flatulence and constipation.

I also said right-sided because most of the ailments that i get affect my right side. I dont know how far I am correct with this little knowledge of homeopathy. Thnx

1. Details of Current complaint: In mid-March,2009 one day in the morning I got up with slight redness in right eye associated with a little discomfort. Touching eyeball from over the eyelid would pain. I also had mild photophobia (during the daytime, sunlight and in night, headlights of any oncoming vehicle would create discomfort in eye- the light appeared too bright and the eye got mild pain). When the symptoms did not subside in 3 days time , I consulted an ophthalmologist who diagnosed it as a mild anterior infection of Uvea in right eye. On eye test there was a little effect on vision also of rt eye though not significant. I was prescribed Prednisolone suspension and Moisol eye drops thrice daily in right eye. The symptoms disappeared in one week's time but the medication was stopped in 4 weeks gradually reducing dose from TDS to BDS and then once daily. Meanwhile I got following pathological tests done:
(i) DNA Analysis for HLA-B27 Allele-turned out to be negative. (ii)Angiotensin Converting Enzym (ACE) --turned out to be 24 U/l ie with in normal limit. (iii) other routine blood test--all normal. I was asked to put Acular LS for 2 months in right eye. I am doing that but on 12.05.2008 again similar symptoms though very mild (photophobia and pain) appeared. I continued with Acular LS drops twice a day and gave a cold compress to the eye - placed ice pack for 3-5 secs for 3-4 times over the eyelid in the night before going to sleep. That relieved me of symptoms the next morning. Today again I am experiencing similar but very mild symptoms and am right now giving a cold compress.

2. Currently associated conditions: Constipation and flatulence which bloats my lower abdomen sometimes putting extreme pressure on the ano-rectal region. There is no acidity however. I am in a office job at a senior level and has tremendous work pressure- which is associated with lot of anxeity though I dont take any medication for that. I have mild hypertension for the last 5 years for which i have been taking one tablet of Amlopress AT 25 daily after breakfast. After the medication my BP maintains at 80/85 and 125/130.
