is 30x same as 30k?
You mark potency as "x" (30x or 200x...). The pharmacies over here don't use "x", they sell 30k or 200k.I always show the remedy written to them (Sulphur 200x) and they just give me the "K" (Sulphur 200k). Today one pharmacist told me it is not the same one - is it?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
"k" is the same as "c" - just other way of preparing.
"c" is preparing remedies in centisimal scale (100 x diluted at each step) and "x" is prep. in decimal scale diluting 10 x at each step.

anyway,I believe in octaves,
30,200,1M,10M,50M,CM,DM and MM.
I feel any potency between any two of these octaves will have almost same effect.For example whether you give 200X(roughly 100C),or 200C, the effect would be same more or less.

Sorry-I haven't seen other Maria's posts-anyway I usuallake all posts on the individual basis.
I use the same potencies as you do +12c (or 15c) Rarely x .

Sometimes you make big shows about some problems of ill people, Murty ,you also offenced me ,but i see , you don't know the basic of homeopathy. But I would like to explein to Maria :
D = decimal potencies = x
CH = centesimal pot. ( Hahneman method )
K = centesimal pot. ( Korsakov method )
Q = 50- millesimal potencies = LM
So,Maria,30x is the same as
D30 and 30 K is the same like C 30 . This is not the same in any case!

In the country I live in, they sell only x and ch. In this site I am told to buy 30x or 200x. How do I "translate" them to x or ch? Or do I need to translate them?

Sometimes I visit in a "homeopatie-herboristerie" - shop, and there I was told that x and k is not the same thing.
He said they sell only k (germans use this) or ch (french use this). The man, a homepathic doctor by himself, was not able to explain me the differences. The French-speaking population doesn't speak English that good.

The difference is in the method.C is done by the classical Hanemann method,where a new vial is used for every potency.
K is karschof (Not sure of spelling) method,in which the same vial is used, by keeping just one drop of the previous potency,and adding 99 drops of water/alcohol.Same vial is used till you reach the desired potency.
There are some old threads on potencies.Search for them."

But 2x is succuused 20 times to make it,but 1c is succussed only 10 times.So,the energy released is slightly different in both cases.
So,200X is roughly equivalent to 100C."

Hello!Well, this is not chat room but - forum. But I hope nothing is wrong if I tell you that my country have only 2 million people, but we have own language , high mountains, hills, fields , a lot of forests , rivers , is very green , we have hot summers , cold winters, bloomy springs and all colours autumns and at the end , we have also see.
I am sure that you have never heard for my country .
