Dear Doc, chelsea has further improved! she is now more playful also. THANKS.

I think she can manage her life now if something can be done to reduce her weight by 10-12 kgs.Regards

Please give her three doses of Calcarea Carb 200c at a gap of 4 hours on a single day. Don't give the doses daily but only on a single day.
Please observe the changes in symptoms for the next 15 days and report back.

fine. will do so.

three doses were given on 20th. 21 and 22nd she was limping more and looking somewhat exhausted and panting more. Next three days she improved a little bit and thats it. she is still panting more, less playful, tired and prefers to manage without standing or walking. she was better before this last dose.

please observe her for next three days and report back.

marginal improvement in limping but she is tired and exhausted and keep panting even though it is not so hot these days. Does not want to walk around the house also.

Let us wait for another week. Then we will either move up in potency or we will explore another remedy depending on her symptoms.

fine.

She does not seem to improve further. Her outer thighs/ hips look a bit pinched in and she sometimes struggle to balance when she eats or drinks water from the bowl, and she wavers or sit and then reaches the bowl. her back limbs does not seem to be strong enough to support her body, which is as such a heavy.
I thought of aborantum or Cal Carb in higher does or rhus tox ( as she is always bad for a day after given bath). But right now my biggest fear is that any medicine and if she slips back more it will be difficult to manage her.
Also conventional homeopathy does not appreciate frequent repeatition of cal carb?

You may give her Bryonia 30c thrice a day at a gap of 4 hours for 2-3 days. This should antidote Calcarea Carb and Bryonia also seems to be indicated for her present symptoms. Later on you may give her a single dose of Calcarea Carb 1M and nothing more for next 1.5 months. But again you have to take the decision as you have rightly summed up her position. Another option could have been Medohar Vati from Divya Pharmacy. But here again her response to previous ayurvedic medication is not encouraging.

Pardon me for asking this, Boericke's M M & Rep does not say Bry antidotes cal c. though it does say vice versa. Can you please reconfirm?
Also what if we wait for say 2 weeks or more and straight away give her cal.c. 1m?

yes stri rasayan vati made things worse. Medohar is for fatness but the fear is that any ayurvedic compound which is not suitable for dogs might prove fatal! otherwise no issues. I myself take baba ramdev's medicines sometimes. In homeopathy also (please correct me if i am wrong) its different for animals sometimes, like aconote kills sheep but does not affect horses.

The heading of Column 5 that appears in the table 'Antidotes' is a noun and not a verb. So Bry antidotes (verb) Calc Carb and not otherwise. Because when we read for Calc Carb in the Antidotes(noun) Column Bry appears.

Many homeo remedies are poison and can have disastrous effect if taken in crude form. But these very substances reverse their medicinical properties when they are potentized and instead of adding poison to the system, they remove poison from the system. At times MM talks about the properties of medicinal substance in crude form and it becomes very confusing. Vet homeopathy is same as human homeopathy. Remedies are supposed to work for the symptoms of both human beings and animals.

The other remedy that you should consider is Kali Carb.

Thanks for explaining and clarifying the relationship table.
Yes kali carb has back and extermities symtomps of chelsea. Here too it is adviced not to be repeated frequentely. So plz advice abt potency and dose.
Also would like to inform you this, she was given bath yesterday and was fine till night.Since morning she is having problems in walking, FROM THE FRONT LEFT LEG. Her front legs are healthy and strong though.
Is this again her after bath one or two days routine problem, this time occuring in front healthy leg or something new?

kali carb is recommended by Kent for affections that follow pregnancy or removal of uterus. He also cites may cases where the limping post uterus removal was cured by kali carb.
So you may give her three doses of Kali Carb 200c at a gap of 4 hours for only one day and observe her symptoms for the next 15-20 days.

Dear Doctor. I gave her kali carb 200 same way as you suggested on on 25th of september. I did not see any reaction whatsoever. I would also like to tell you that she is gaining weight at an alarming speed.
Sorry for not posting reply earlier as was too busy in assembly elections.

anamika_anamika last decade
You should consider giving her a single dose of Calcarea Carb 1 M.

kadwa last decade
single dose in same pattern? three doses at four hours interval?

anamika_anamika last decade
single dose in same pattern?
No. Only one dose (not three).

Hello doctor
I gave chelsea Cal Carb 1M on 1st November, one dose. After an hour or so she was looking a little restless. She was roaming here and there making a koo koo sounds for rest of the evening. By around 8 PM she stablised and morning she was fine.
I gave her bath on 8th of November and this time she did not limp as it used to happen earlier a day or two days after bath.
she seems to be fine erxcept that she has again developed signs of false pregnancy. she has adopted a toy as her pup and whole day she tries to dig earth and keeps holding that particular toy in her mouth, lickes her and makes choo choo sound, as if wants to convey something. Rest is fine.

We should not interfere with Calcarea Carb unless symptoms worsen on sustained basis. It is better to see how it works over a period of 30-45 days. So wait and watch.

dear Doc, it has been two and half months since last dose of Cal Carb 1M. She is doing fine. she plays and runs for a short distance, say 8/10 feet. thanks. should she be left without medicine now?

anamika_anamika last decade
Earlier once we repeated calc carb 200 when she was already doing well on the earlier dose. She didn't take it well and her symptoms worsened. So we should repeat the potency or move to the higher potency only when there is worsening of symptoms on sustained basis.

kadwa last decade
yes doc. I understand. I too does not want to disturb her with unneccessary medication. but your approval was necessary. I would like to inform you anyway about her health time to time. If animals can speak she would have been indebted to you as I am. thanks.

Dear Doctor, This is to update you about chelsea. She has maintained the improvement she achieved with Cal. Carb 1M on November1. In march she had stomach upset for 3/4 days and on 4th day with other syptoms she started limping again. I was about to write to you but then decided to wait for two three days till she gains strngth. She was fine in three days.
In the meanwhile she has put on more weight, can hardly run, only walks and pants a lot. rest is fine.

anamika_anamika last decade
It has been a long time that she was given Calc carb 1M dose. i think that you may give her another dose of Calc Carb 1M now and watch her for next few months.

kadwa last decade
ok. will do so. thanks.
