Miscarriage

I am very concerned about my remedy being the cause of 2 miscarriages within the past 5 months(one at 8 weeks and one at 11weeks). My pregnancy before these miscarriages went fine and I have a 4 year old daughter. The only element in my life right now that is different than when I was pregnant with her is my remedy. Other than that I am healthier now because of my remedy than when I was pregnant with her.

My remedy: calcarea arsenicosum: potency LM10 has done wonders for my depression and I have been taking it for about a year and a half. The way the homeopath is treating me seems to be different than how so many use homeopathy. The homeopath dilutes the tablets in a bottle and administers the remedy or sends the remedy home with me. One dose a month is often all is needed. Sometimes more.

Many say that homeopathic remedies cannot do any harm but I've noticed that my dose is much stronger than anything that is sold at Vitamin Cottage and other people use much lower potencies and use it much more frequently. I've been told by other homeopaths that they use "C" potency...if I'm explaining that correctly and that LM is much more potent.

It is hard for me to believe that it couldn't harm a embryo when it is so effective in treating something like depression.

I just want to know if there are any warnings on this remedy, like on some others, that would suggest not taking it during pregnancy.

I love homeopathy and will continue to use it but I am very concerned about using it during pregnancy.

Not sure if there is any evidence to stear me either way...using it or not during pregnancy.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
A lesson I learned many years ago is that the homeopathic remedy affects all of the mother.
BUT if the remedy is benefitting the mother , equally it is benefitting the baby.

Please be reassured this is NOT one of the remedies we caution against taking when pregnant.

And, no, I will not list them. There are only one or two. The reason being I do not want them misused. AND they are used in oposite ways to stop miscarriges. Complex and not to be bandied about on this forum.

Be at peace.

Blessings, Sabra

Sorry to hear of your miscarriages. Pls don't confuse strength with potency. LM potencies are 'higher' potencies in the sense they are more 'dilute' but usually very gentle in action and often used in preference to other potencies for this reason. Have you had your thyroid checked?
