boil

Hello, I have a boil on my lower back right next to my spine. It first appeared maybe 5-6 years ago, but went down and quit bothering me after a couple of weeks. A couple of weeks ago it flared up again. There is no other 'symptom' I know of, but it makes it hard to walk sometimes. I am taking Silicea, but though it goes down, it never goes all the way down and it grows back out again and is sensitive to touch. Help please?

but I read something online about staph being a possible cause of boils and happened to have one 200c pellet. I took it last night and the boil has shrunk considerably and it is no longer 'touchy.'
