What is wrong with me - stress, anxiety or?
Hi, I'm 27 years old and hope this forum will give me some good information, about my problem. It all started 8 months ago - It started with a feeling, that I couldn't get any air to my lunges, and after laying down for 1 hour I began to feel okay. After this strange feeling I started having racing heart almost every time when relaxing, but only when laying down or relaxing in a chear. These symptones was hunting me like 5 months. And I did also have some extreme depressions once a week or so. And I started having these strange feelings, like life wasn't as real to me as it used to be, like I was stuck in a dream or something. And this made me go to the doctor to check my body-system. Everything was perfect with my body, and the doctor said it could be some kind of stress.
Now after 8 months, my heart act all good. But my mind is like falling apart, because sometimes it all feels so unreal. Hard to explain exactly how it feels, but this feeling comes and goes. Some days its worst then others, but everyday it hunt me.
Are you familery with this problem or could give me some good advise how to heal me. TY!

Think I found out, what the name of my unreal feeling is. Its Derealization (DR) an alteration in the perception or experience of the external world so that it seems strange or unreal. It is a dissociative symptom of many conditions, such as psychiatric and neurological disorders, and not a standalone disorder. It is also a transient side effect of acute drug intoxication, sleep deprivation, and stress - Now I don't know how long this will hunt me. But have found out people have been living with DR for years. I had a lot in my mind, and was working almost 24/7 before all this happened to me, so I think stress could have trigger this symptom for me. Some quotes from wiki: 'Derealization is a subjective experience of unreality of the outside world, while depersonalization is unreality in one's sense of self. Although most authors currently regard derealization (surroundings) and depersonalization (self) as independent constructs, many do not want to separate derealization from depersonalization.[2] The main reason for this is nosological, because these symptoms often co-occur, but there is another reason of great philosophical importance, namely, that the phenomenological experience of self, others, and world is one continuous whole. Thus, feelings of unreality may blend in and the person may puzzle over deciding whether it is the self or the world that feels unreal to them.' It't very good to be able to put a name for my symptom. I will post more about this feeling (DR) and let you know, if I find out how to control it. Currently I know its not smart to be hungry (try to eat regulary) keep away from caffeine (chocolate, coffe, cola, etc) which also makes the derealization worse. Go out running, excersice, keep your mind busy, think positive. This is what helps me from DR.
