The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Homeopathic Doctors v/s Homoeopaths

I am here because I saw the dedication of doctors like dr lokesh kumar and dr pankaj varma in stayin put amidst a lot of presures from a group of self taught individuals who are exploiting the name of homeopathy to become doctors and also engaging in a defamatory and derogatory remarks on doctors.

I will like to warn every patient who does not read the fine print in disclaimers and warnings on this forum.

'In most cases, advice posted here is not given by a medical expert.'
If symptoms persist, consult a medical professional.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Also, Homeopathy is not taken seriosly because of hobby practice and the same is being promoted here on threads like :'Learning homeopathy on ones own'. This will add to the hobbist culture in homoepathy and will only worsen the non scientific and non medical look that it gives when people practising it on patients look like artists talking about philosophy more than medicine.

It is a matter of choice with the physician treating you weather he would prescribe you 1-2-3 or 4 medicine depending on what he feels will benifit you.

The interest in welfare of the patient is the only motive and philosophy for your doctor.

To Simon, The Moderator.

YOU CAN REMOVE THIS THREAD if you feel it goes against the philosophy of abchomeopathy or influenza ltd.

Though It is not important for me to visit this forum I am still tempted to do so as I feel this is more of a social site and provides me with a platform to share my views with my fellow collegues and people in general.

I don't think Simon is going to remove this thread. Even if he removes it is o.k. as the purpose of rebutting the statements you made would have been served.

You are so new here that you don't know even as much that Pankaj is not a qualified homeopath. He is like most of us, a self learner.

Learning homeopathy on one's own is important for everyone interested in homeopathy including the patients. Then only they can discern the chaff from the grain and have a realistic assessment of the capabilities of the prescriber.

A physician who is prescribing 2, 3 or 4 medicines together is not a homeopath whatever may be the qualification he is having. Any Tom Dick and Harry who prescribes homeopathic medicines in this fashion is to be shunned as he doesn't bother about the safety of the patient.

I have dwelt at length on why combinations are to be avoided in my previous posts. Those who are interested may read them.

I think you will be allowed to stay here as long as you don't disturb well meaning threads and resort to personal attacks/comments.

We too want people like you to be present here so as we can tell the visitors what is proper homeopathy..more often.

Learning Homeopathy on ones own is not learning cooking on ones own.

Homoepathy is just not a philosophy and art or science , its a medical therapy intended to provide solutions to diseases and health realted issues.

You can consider yourself as JUST A HOMOEOPATH. Thats it. But you should not become a doctor and start playing with the lives of innocent patients who cannot decipher between an un qualified doctor and a qualified one.

Moreover I will re-etirate here. Promotion of cuakery is a crime and anything that is not regulated and done as a hobby is nothing else but that.

My thread is intended at creating an awarness about homeopathy as a MEDICAL INTERVENTION and not merely as an art and philosophy. You can as well do a phd in it but cannot practice medicine.

To qualify as homeopathy the basic requirement is to follow the cardinal principles and philosophy.

Qualified doctors who follow the basics of homeopathy are no doubt better than those who are unqualified.

To practice allopathy with homeopathic medicines is what we object to. There is a name for such people. Mongrels.

Murthy

gavinimurthy last decade
If MEDICAL INTERVENTION and palliation is the goal go for allopathic specialists. They do a much better job than these mongrels.

They have well laid out procedures unlike these mongrels who experiment with combinations of homeopathic potencies without bothering about the consequences.

Homeopathy was discovered by a physician and promoted as a medical therapy.

When Homeopathic medicines are prescribed by qualified medical doctors and they used these medicines for treating medical problems and if they can provide the nessary solutions to diseases being treated that should be just fine.

Please DO NOT consider yourself as a missionary preaching a religion.

Also avoid teaching principles and philosophy to doctors treating patients here.

If you love philosophy, i will recomend join a homeopathic medical college and teach students of the first year. Thats the right place. Beyound that its a personal choice.

By the way, Can you STOP CALLING PEOPLE MONGRELS.

If you need to call names then at least call names of this era. At least we will understand which language you are speaking.

wakeupsidz last decade
You are again making personal comments.

Confine the debate to the points raised.

I will ask the question again more straightforwardly.

Why should a patient go to a mongrel instead of an allopath?

I have already defined who is a mongrel.

What did Hahnemann call conventional doctors/allopaths?

Of Course somebody must be knowing that.

wakeupsidz last decade
You should use conventional medicine and homoepathic medicine as and when required.

I am talking about homoepathic medicine and not the philosophy of classical homoepathy.

wakeupsidz last decade
A Patient has this choice to get his problem treated with conventional medicine or homeopathic medicine or chineese medicine.

It is the medicine that is used here and not the philosophy. You dont stuff organon edition of 1921 in the mouth of a patient. You give him a potentised medicine.

wakeupsidz last decade
A medicines is called a 'homeopathic medicine' provided it meets the following criteria.

It should be a single remedy and a similar remedy. It should be given in a potensised form.

There is no place for mixing two/three remedies in homeopathy.

That is not homeopathy and such people even when they get the relevant degrees can't be called homeopaths.

welcome to the JUNGLE sid ! i was really missin' you man !

HAVE YOU EVER SEEN WHAT A HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINE LOOKS LIKE.

Every bottle of a potentised single or mixed remedy contains that label: Homoepathic Medicine.

Its called homoepathic medicine and not allopathic medicine because there's nothign in it. Its a potentised solution.

That makes it homeopathic.

wakeupsidz last decade
So potensised plain water too can be named a homeopathic medicine and sold as homeopathic medicine because there is nothing in it.

We advise people to read the label and know the difference between a real homeopathic medicine and a bogus one.

gavinimurthy last decade
If you know homeopathy you will understand the TRUTH of your statement.

POTENTISED WATER IS A REMEDY in homoepathy. If potentised and proved.

wakeupsidz last decade
yaa even alchohol is a remedy in itself !
read the books murthy

Mark your words.

'potensised and proved.'

That is the crux of the matter.

The provings of potensied single medicines are available as materia medica that is available to the scrutiny of everybody and got enriched with the experience of doctors gathered over a span of 200 years.

Get the same thing done with your mixtures. Standardise their composition, do extensive proving, publish the materia medica and claim that combination as a homeopathic medicine.

No objection whatsoever.

I am aware of the provings of potensised alcohol, but not that of water. Can anyone throw some light where that data is available?

Murthy

gavinimurthy last decade
When a substance is potentised and proved , you get a symptomalogy and based on the recognition of similar symptoms you apply that principle.

A Combination remedy also has all medicines producing similar symptoms otherwise the damn thing wont act, my friend.

LIKE CURES LIKES: Symptom similarity
POTENTISATION: Process of making a substance homepathic in shape.

These are the two cardinal principles on which homeopathy works , without them it WONT WORK.

wakeupsidz last decade
there is a whole new alternative branch called hydrotherapy ..maybe u can specialize in that ..
water as a remedy

drlkumar last decade
Perhaps one should understand what is a symptom before talking about symptom similiarity.

A symptom is complete when you specify the location, sensation and modality.

Many medicines have dripping coryza. A nux coryza is identified by it being aggravated in open air, where as an allium cepa coryza is better outside.

Now if you combine nux and allium for coryza where is the symptom similiarity?

If you merely go by the disease name that is allopathic thinking. That is why I call these mixtures 'allopathic medicine made with combining homeopathic potencies.'

The patient is coming here for a homeopathic medicine. Not for those combinations.

If he wants the combinations he can go to the reckweg website where these combinations are available for every conceivable disease name.

gavinimurthy last decade
Homeopathy is based on 4 cardinal principles.

Not two.

Single remedy
Similar remedy
Minmum dose
Potensised medicine.

Murthy

gavinimurthy last decade
During Drug Proving a potentised substance produces various symptoms. These symptoms are produced and when you get these symptoms in patients the medicine will act.

Going by 'your defination' of homeopathy, if the medicine is not a similimum it should not act and will be not homepathic. Right?

Combinations have selected remedies producing similar symptoms. A combination will NOT ACT if the medicines put into it do not correspond with the symptoms of the patient its intended to be given to.
