The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Homeopathic Doctors v/s Homoeopaths Page 2 of 3

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
During Drug Proving a potentised substance produces various symptoms. These symptoms are produced and when you get these symptoms in patients the medicine will act.

Going by 'your defination' of homeopathy, if the medicine is not a similimum it should not act and will be not homepathic. Right?

Combinations have selected remedies producing similar symptoms. A combination will NOT ACT if the medicines put into it do not correspond with the symptoms of the patient its intended to be given to.

yes all patients are asked to
take advise from their QUALIFIED homeopathic physician before taking any homeopathic medicine !

SELF MEDICATION IS DANGEROUS!

As I told earlier true similimum is very very difficult to lay your hands on straight away .

If by luck you chose the similimum the complaint will never recur.

However similar remedy is not exact similimum, but very close. There can be more than a single similar remedy for a given set of symptoms and each one of them when given indepently can push the patient towards cure.

That won't be the case if you give two similar remedies together. The resultant energy pattten is unknown and will not give the desired results. Moreover there is a chance of getting unexpexted reactions.

As I told earlier Hahn himself experimented with these dual remedies and found them not upto the mark.

Even the makers of combination medicines won't claim that their medicines cure. They only say for 'temporary relief'.

If palliation is the goal nothing better than allopathy.

Why to take these concotions?

The treatment by combination of mother tinctures is not homeopathy.

it is a separate branch of medicine called phytotherapy.

Yes..there have been some good results with phytotherapy.

Information given in this forum is given by way of exchange of views only, and those views are not necessarily those of ABC Homeopathy. It is not to be treated as a medical diagnosis or prescription, and should not be used as a substitute for a consultation with a qualified homeopath or physician. It is possible that advice given here may be dangerous, and you should make your own checks that it is safe. For example, taking mother tinctures can lead to serious side effects, and stopping prescribed medication without first consulting a physician can also endanger your health. If symptoms persist, seek professional medical attention. Bear in mind that even minor symptoms can be a sign of a more serious underlying condition, and a timely diagnosis by your doctor could save your life.

This advice is displayed prominently on every page.

No need to repeat it ad infinitim..

Dear Wake up sid

you are starting new threads out of Vengeance and wasting time of People here.Be constructive. If you are worried so much about our (patients) health give advice or get lost.Dont hurt the feelings of people here.Really you should be ashamed for promoting some Pseudo doctors like Rajesh shaw.

You are here to promote the business of him(yours).

When somebody found out that you are posting with different names praising yourself(Rajesh SHAW)you develop a lot of hatred towards them like Murthy etc etc.You want to create a rift between people here.Shame of you.The result is THE THREADS YOU GENERATE.

My Advice is to restrain from all these type of ego feelings and be human and give good advice like others.

how do combination medicines provide relief? They work based on the principle of homeopathic symptom similarity. If the combination does not have remedies producing similar symptoms, it wont act. Thats why not all combinations sell and work. The funda here is of partially similar remedies.

i have reported the post of homeopatient to the moderator. In case of no action i will be forced to respond to his remarks which are personal, derogatory and defaming in nature.

wakeupsidz last decade
That is again an example of allopathic thinking. Homeopathy aims at treating the patient with the disease.

It never aims to treat the disease of the patient.

If temporary relief is the requirement take 'anacin' for headache instead of reckweg drops no.X.

I am not denying that certain combinations do provide temporary relief. But real homeopathy when followed as per Organon can do better than that.

Why settle for less?

homeopatient001, please do not refer to anyone as a pseudo doctor. Besides, we do not know for sure that wakeupsidz is Dr Shah. Dr Shah may have (very mistakely, as it turns out) hired him to promote his business, although in this ID he is doing that less.

wakeupsidz, you will get a quicker response if you do not report every single post from anyone you don't like.

Abstract
Background

The issue of potency choice in homeopathy has always been controversial. In “high” potencies there are no molecules of the starting substance remaining and in low potencies (including tinctures) the line between homeopathy and herbal medicine is blurred.
Method

The literature on potency selection is reviewed, including the use of low potencies and their effects on organ physiology. This article attempts to examine the overlapping boundaries between homeopathy and herbal medicine in clinical practice and basic research.
Findings

Both low and high potencies are utilized in all areas of homeopathy ranging from prescribing for acute or chronic diseases to constitutional treatment. Low dilutions play a role in homeopathic prescribing, and are particularly prominent in systems of homeopathy focusing on the organotropic effects of homeopathic medicinal products integrated with conventional medicine diagnosis and treatment.

(Mother) tinctures may be employed in homeopathy as well as in herbal medicine. The distinction between the two is based on the clinical context, the rationale behinds its use, and the production method of the tincture. Data available from basic research on low and high potencies do not suggest a superiority of low potencies over high potencies or vice versa.
Conclusion

Low potency homeopathic medications (with detectable concentrations of the starting material) and high potency homeopathic medications (with no detectable amount of the starting material in the finished product) have been available since the beginning of homeopathy. Given that both groups of homeopathic medications have shown effectiveness in clinical trials and in the absence of a definitive mechanism of action for homeopathy (including the possibility that there may be multiple mechanisms of action present) this wide of range of potencies for homeopathic medicines should be maintained, ranging from mother tinctures to homeopathic medicinal products with no measurable concentration.

Dr. Sid and Dr. Kumar,

Very good explainations.
Pl. share more of your experiences and bring light to the darkness created by the so called but confused 'Classical homeopaths' here for the layman visiting ABC Homeoapthy Forum.

Classical homeopaths are not confused. They have a solid reference. The Organon.

It is the others who are confused. They don't have any philosophy whatsoever. They try to pass off all abominable things in the name of homeopathy.

So many times I have pointed out at this Forum:

The companies that make homeopathic combinations ..like Reckeweg, Schwabe, Bioron, Hylands etc. employee highly qualified homeopathic physicians. The combinations are made and placed in the markets only after approval from their own qualified homeopathic physicians.

The combinations promoted by them have also been examined from the point of view of complementary, anti-dotal and inimical meds.

By the use of these combinations many many people around the world have experienced good healing.

Pankaj Varma

PANKAJ VARMA last decade
Self testimonials by doctors employed by the firms themselves don't hold any water.

Please bring out the proving data of these combinations, if any.

I am sure there is none available. Most of these combination manufacturers websites claim that their combinations provide temporary relief.

Some even advice to consult a homeopath for a single medicine if symtoms persist.

I can dig out the reference if people agree to keep silent after seeing that.

outdated organon...REST IN PEACE!

i can give a number of examples on this forum where so called classical homeopaths have failed to even cure pimples effectively with classical med.
they just keep asking 100 questions everyday..
even patients who come to my practice openly say they are fed up with classical homeopaths calling them on day to day basis and asking a hundred qustions just to give one dose, that fails then ask another hundred questions ...thats why they come to us!!

i am travelling. Wait for my post on dumb sherads and classical homeopathy.

If Organon is outdated there must be something else to replace it based on which the so called 'modern' pathy
is practiced.

What is it?

From the information I gathered from the net, the book by Powell is about his recipes of combinations for various disorders.

It is not based on any philosophy but is purely empirical in nature.
