The ABC Homeopathy Forum

3.5 year-old daughter stuttering

My DD started stuttering about two months ago. Occassionally, once or twice a day she would repeat the first word of a sentence.
This past week her dresser fell on her (she tried to get her clothes out of the top drawer and stood on the knobs of the bottom drawer, it tipped over..). LUCKILY, she didn't get injured, she got a tiny bruise on her forehead and some scratches, but she seemed physically ok, I think she got very shocked and scared. She cried for about five minutes and cuddled a lot after that.
The severe stuttering started the next day. She repeats some words or syllables 15-20times, and sometimes she can't get it out at all. She's frustrated. She stutters in 9 of 10 sentences. It's very hard for my husband and me to hear her talk. She's having difficulties with words she had pronounced clearly in the past.

she is very loving and friendly. she stutters when she is excited and wants to say something. Someone told me to ask her to sing sentences when she can't pronounce them and it seems to help, however when she starts talking, she stutters again.

Other than that, she eats healthy diet, I don't see any changes in her eating habbits.
She sleeps well, just last couple of nights she called my name few times out of her dream....
She wants to be kissed and hugged nonstop right now, she refused to go to her swimming class today and at the preschool, where she goes, she didn't feel comfortable to let me go when I dropped her off.
I should also mention, she is bilingual, but I don't see this as a problem, as she never mixed the two languages together and had no difficulties with it at all. She stutters evenly in both languages.

I would love to help her as it's heartbreaking to see how frustrated she gets now. Do you have any suggestions if homeopathy could help? thank you so much.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Any abnormal or odd signs , did u notice before the stuttering began 2 months back

Thank you for response. I can't think of anything abnormal or traumatic right before she started stuttering, except maybe the fact we took her diaper off at night. She has wet the bed frequently, but we never get mad at her or discourage her (I don't believe this really has anything to do with it, but it was all I could come up with). I did read some of the other posts on stuttering and I noticed a couple of them mentioned that their children were always asking for cold water. My daughter has been doing the same for about 2 to 3 months. She likes the water out of the fridge which is cold and not warm tap water which I prefer to give her. I have always associated this with the fact her father likes to drink cold water and she loves to do the things he does. She did fall down the stairs, but that was almost a year ago... Sorry if this doesn't help

Does she make friends with new people easily .

vikas_grower last decade
Yes. She is always very shy for the first ten minutes in which she meets an adult, but after that she gets along with anyone and everyone. She makes friends very easily with other children and is always very easy going, i.e. she doesn't fight or hit other children, and she shares well.

Please get Phosphorus 6c in pellets or liquid form and inform to discuss the dosing proceedure.

Please also buy spring water bottle

vikas_grower last decade
Thank you. I will. As soon as I get it (hopefully tomorrow) I'll let you know. Thank you very much again!!!!

I bought it online. 2 ounces of 6c Phosphorus. Should get it in a few days.

FYI, remedies in 6c and 30c are available in most health food stores e.g. Whole Foods.

I got Phosphorus 6c Pellets.

She started having some eye twitching when she stutters now..Not every time, but quite often or she rubs her eye when she talks...

Please tap ( without touching ) 2 pellets from the bottle into 150 ml spring water bottle .

Allow the 2 pellets to dissolve on their own which will take some time .

After dissolution , shake the bottle gently .

Now give one capful from the bottle , wait for 30 minutes , give the second capful , wait for 30 minutes take the third capful .

Throw the remaining solution away . No more medicine , no repetition .

Please dont give anything to drink or eat for one hour before the first capful and after the third capful .

Now we wait for one week to see the result .

No medicine of any kind during this one week .

Please note the medicine is limited to 3 capfuls one day only , nothing is given again till one week .

Please ask if any confusion on dosing .

I gave it to her today, exactly how you said (I waited for a few days, as she was taking probiotics, echinacea and some vitamins, and I wanted to make sure her body doesn't have traces of any of it:-)))

Will report back in a week. Thank you soooo much for your advice.

I am here with the report. She is doing much much better! The stuttering is almost gone, I would say she stutters 2 out of 100 sentences...
I am so happy about this improvement, I can't even describe it.
Now, is there anything I should give her as a prevention?

Thank you very very much for your help!!!

magazinka last decade
Yes your immense love and encouragement to her in whatever she does .

Hello, I am back again:-( My daughter started preschool this week after the Christmas break. And along came the stuttering once again..It started the afternoon after the first day of preschool. She was a bit shy there, but said was happy to be back and excited to go again the next day.
She stutters probably 4 out of 10 sentences, so not as bad as it was at one point in the past, but again..

Any advice? Should I give her the same thing I did last time? Thank you!

magazinka last decade
Please give Phosphorus 30c in the exactly same way as you gave 6c and then wait .

vikas_grower last decade
Thank you for your prompt response! I gave her the Phosphosus 30c yesterday. It took me a while to order it online as they didn't have it in the store. Will report back in a week with an update. thanks again, happy new year!

Back with the report. Don't see any improvement, stuttering in 1 in 3 sentences. Otherwise happy, loving 3.5 year old.

Does she still asks for cold water

vikas_grower last decade
She still prefers her water cold. Drinks other warm beverages / hot cocoa, warm tea.
Now craves for yoghurts and milk products.

Now craves for yoghurts and milk products

Is this a new thing

vikas_grower last decade
Yes, I've noticed it at the beginning of the month. But not sure if it's just a stage, seeing other kids eating yoghurts at school?? but she eats a lot of them and loves drinking cold drinkable youghurts as well.
