Vertigo

I am 70 years old.

First time in my life i got an attack of vertigo on getting up early in the morning about a week back. It recurred on the following two days.

MRI revealed deficiciency of blood supply to brain - ischemia.

MRI impression reads 'Multiple supratentorial non-specific ischaemic foci with mild diffuse cerebral atrophy'.

Please advise homeopathic remedies to retore normalcy.

Thanks

Dr Kumar

May I have your permission to advise this patient to take Arnica 30c in the Wet dose thrice daily for a week and twice daily thereafter?

As you may perhaps be aware I have some experience in using Arnica for ailments not listed in the classical Repertories and MM's and have evidence from patients who presented Angina and were using the standard Nitro Glycerine tablets who have been able to replace their drug with Arnica 30c in the Wet dose which is by far more effective and also much safer than drugs. I believe that Arnica will help to clean up the patient's arterial system and thereby increase the blood supply to the brain.

Arnica will also help to reduce the Cholesterol and Triglyceride levels in the patient whose problem has been diagnosed to be:

'MRI revealed deficiciency of blood supply to brain - ischemia.
MRI impression reads 'Multiple supratentorial non-specific ischaemic foci with mild diffuse cerebral atrophy'.

The Arnica will slowly dissolve the blockage in the blood vessels and will re-establish the blood supply to the brain hopefully in a few weeks.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack in a bottle with a dropper arrangement.
If this is not available the Dry dose in pellets may be use but this is not as effective as the remedy in the original Ethanol pack.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops or 5 pellets of the remedy into the bottle and shake it hard to produce bubbles. This is homeopathic succussion and must be done every time before a capful of the bottle which is the dose is taken as directed.

If the patient uses my therapy, I would like to have a report of his response in a month or earlier.

Sure Dr Joe,

Clinical judgement which helps the patient to maximum is always welcome.

Phosphorus must be taken if recurrence takes place,,,,,if you agree Dr Joe....

Thanks for coming for rescue....

As he has got relief i would not recommend the use of Arnica

As Phosphorus has been prescribed with reasons too....and further management will depend on the response.

Whatever you belief of Arnica action

Phosphorus is far more applicable here....and in minimum dose....

Further info is required so that i could extend proper advise....

I also want to know what advise was given by the Neurologist....

Thanks

Dear Doctor,

Thanks for your advice

I am continuing to keep well and free of any further attack of vertigo. Last one was on 6 Jan 10

I must mention that after investigations, the neurologist prescribed –
• Tab Vertin (24 mg) TDS
• Tab Deplatt – A (150) at bed time
• Tab Rosuvastatin EZ at bedtime
• Tab Pantocid DSR first thing in the morning.

This treatment was commenced on 5 Jan 10 in the evening and is to be continued till next review on 25 Jan 10.

I am on hypertension medicine for the past 15 years, these are-
• Nifedepine R 20 once daily
• Atenlol 25 once daily

With medication my BP is 130/80

Weight 74 kg

My pulse varies between 45 to 50.

Cholesterol generally remains above 250 with high triglycerides and LDL

Height 173 cm

I do Yoga and Pranayam every morning and take 2-3 km walk in the evening.

For your perusal and further advice please.

Dear doctors,

There has been no recurence of vertigo after 7 Jan 10; in any case this was the only time I ever experienced this abnormality.

About one week back I stopped taking Vertin without reference to the Neurologist. And instead started taking Arnica 30 in wet dose as suggested by Shri Joe Livera.

As I could not obtain spring water, I am using water purified by RO system. I hope it works nearly as well as spring water dilution in the method prescribed by Joe.

In due course, I hope to reduce intake of medicines for reducing Cholesterol and controlling BP.

Your further comments please.

Thanking you

For kind attention Joe de Livera.

I have begun taking Arnica 30 in wet dose for the past one week.

As I could not obtain spring water, I am using RO system purified water for preparation of wet solution in a 500 ml bottle.

Hope it will work nearly as well.

Please advise on this and any other advice pertaining to my previous posts.

Thanks and regards

I am not qualified to advise you on the pros and cons of using water derived from the Reverse Osmosis process as I am not a scientist.

I feel that the best test is to use it if you have no alternative but it may be better to do so after you have boiled and cooled it before you activate it with the Arnica 30 which I hope you got in the Liquid Dilution. It is possible that the residue left over in the filters and the charcoal used in the RO process may render the water to be of a quality that can antidote the Remedy.

However you state that you have used it for the last week as a replacement for the drug you were using and as long as you have not had any vertigo you can continue with your Wet dose made with RO water.

I cannot believe that you cannot get Spring water as your nearest supermarket should have it on display.

I have recorded on many forums my own experience with using Arnica 30 in the Wet dose for the last 13 years on a nightly basis and I have no doubt whatever that I owe my own sense of wellness to Arnica. My BP is 120/80 Pulse 65 at age 80. Lipid profile equal to a teenager's. Many who are taking Arnica as I do have confirmed that they are also observing the same benefits that I have recorded for the last 10 years on this and other Homeopathic Forums.

If you also wish to enjoy the benefits of taking Arnica as I have done I would like you to do a complete Blood Test with Lipid Profile and PSA if you are over 60 years old. An ECG would also be useful for the record. You will soon find that you will not need any of the drugs you have listed which will only add more ailments and diseases that you can avoid merely by taking Arnica 30 in the Wet dose in the future. You can safely take it twice in the Wet dose for best results for a month and evaluate your progress which you can report on this Forum.

You should observe an improvement in your Lipid Profile stats in Cholesterol and Triglycerides in about 6 months when you can do another Blood test to verify if the Arnica has helped you. I would like you to get a Digital BP gauge which you can use to check your Blood Pressure on a daily basis to evaluate your progress. Remember to change the 2 AAA Alkaline batteries twice yearly as otherwise the results will not be correct.

I presume that you do a daily routine of exercise to make you sweat and that you do not eat in excess as these are contraindicated for a healthy life.

I would also suggest that you take 2 tablets of Nat Phos 6x after dinner as this will help your food to go down and will also help make you sleep deeper. I presume that you have observed that the Arnica you have been taking has helped you to sleep deeper than before.

Thank you very much for a very comprehensive advice.

Yes, I stopped taking Vertin a week back and in its place started taking Arnica 30 in wet dose tds. There has been not the slightest attack of vertigo since the first episode. I shall try and procure spring water at the earliest.

ECG and Echocardiagram are normal

Long ago I was diagnosed with labyrinthitis and I have been suffering ever since. What homeopathic medicine should I take to get rid of the problem. I also have high blood pressure and take two medicines for that, is there any cure for hypertension in homeopathy?
