I was under the impression that homeopathic medicines are to be taken for a long period.
Are u sure Sepia need to be taken for a day? Will my symptoms not worsen if I take this medicine?

You are under the right impression. The homeo treatment may take a long time if the homeopath fails to arrive at the right remedy. He will give a remedy and wait for some 15 days. Then depending on the response he will move to another potency or another remedy. This process continues until the homeopath is able to arrive at the right remedy and the right potency.
There are various schools of dosing in homeopathy. Some homeopaths use multiple remedies at the same time, others use only one remedy at a time. Some homeopaths repeat the remedy daily, others only give that much doses which are sufficient to stimulate vital force and wait for the remedy to act.
i use the Rishi Model of Homeopathy (hereinafter called as Rishi Pathy). Rishi selects the indicated remedy on the basis of significant non-leading questions. He gives suffucient doses of the indicated remedy and waits to see whether the remedy is able to stimulate the vital force. He reviews position after 15 days and takes appropriate decision on the basis of the response to the treatment.
There may be a problem of remedy proving if the remedy is repeated daily ie the situation of the patient may worsen. Remedy proving means the patient develops symptoms of remedy due to taking it in repeated doses. In Rishi Pathy the chances of the patient's worsening are very less. Even if symptoms worsen that may be a recovery crisis and may soon be over. Again it is not necessary that worsening of symptoms will precede recovery. There may be recovery without worsening of symptoms.
A homeo remedy is suggested on the basis of totality of symptoms and it works as a stimulation to vital force. The cure is effected if the remedy is able to stimulate vital force. So the dosing of a homeo remedy differs from that of alopathic medicines or herbs.

May I know why you did not let the patient give a try on Hydrastis Q, as suggested by another veteran.
The benefit of Hydrastis on anybody and every body in my observation is huge and helps for life time (even if it ended up not helping leuchorrea, as the worst case) and I am worried the patient missed it.

Dear Dr Kadwa,
I took sepia as instructed by you 15 days ago. My back pain is a little releived now but there is not much change in the discharge. My main problems are feeling of heaviness in the lower abdomen, vaginal discharge and aches in the thighs and calves and all of them are just like before I took sepia. The discharge is clear, not foul smelling and the feeling of constant wetness irritates me a lot. There is no itching or redness.
This all starts soon after my period and then continues till the next period.
I was wondering if I should start taking Hydrastis Q as suggested by Reva V.

How can i say that when Dr. Mountson has advised you Hydrastis. i only said that Hydrastis or the ayurvedic medicine should not be taken on the day you take Sepia. i was shocked when Reva compared Dr. Mountson with me. While Dr. Mountson is the ocean i am like a petty lake or well.

The problem of constipation is continuing. I am taking regular laxatives to prevent that. The feeling of burning in the region of the vaginal and vaginal itching has reduced. The rectal itching is still there. Burning whilst sex and spooting has reduced slightly.
Can you advice any further remedy. As I stated earlier, my main problems are feeling of heaviness in the pelvis , clear vaginal discharge, constipation and some degree of back pain. I suspect they are hormonal as I also feel very bloated.

Finished 2 weeks after taking 3 doses of sepia 200. The vaginal discharge and feeling of heaviness in the abdomen are less ( approx 30% less) than previous but not gone completely. Other symptoms such as backache has also reduced. The constipation is slightly less.
I have now received the sepia 1M and calc carb that you asked for.

back pain has reduced much but I am taking ashokarishta regularly for past 1 month.
Irritable attitude and worry about future both have reduced.

The discharge is still continuing. Its clear/milky, not foul smelling at all. It is more after the period in the 1st half of the next cycle. I wonder if its not normal vaginal discharge but in excess.

This time there is no relief at all.

A homeo remedy under Rishi's style of Homeopathy is not selected for any particular symptom. But it is selected on the basis of totality of symptoms. In my opinion your totality of symptoms point to Sepia. Sepia did some work for you earlier. The other remedy couldn't do anything. It may so happen that additional doses of Sepia may do more work. Sometimes patient responds well to a certain potency and doesn't respond well when the potency is raised. So i suggested Sepia 200.

Took Sepia 200c today. will report back after 20 days. meanwhile I have ordered Hydrastis Q and will start it once I get it. Girilal advised me to take 2-3 drops/day. Do I take the drops (directly or in water?) Please advise.
