Hi Dr. Yogesh,
I want to give you recent updates regarding my daughter's condition -
1. On thursday (1st June)night she got strong cold, runny nose and watery eyes. That day in evening she visited a park and had to cross plants which are unpopular for causing wheezing in bangalore kids.No wheezing observed. My family is currently residing in bangalore.
2. Friday night had mild cold with no wheezing.
3. Saturday evening accidently she got little wet in sudden rains. In night wheezing broke out. My wife repeated dose of Lyco 30 once wheezing increased. After giving Lyco it reduced but didn't subside fully.I guess wheezing may normalize in a day or two.
Pls let me know if any further action is required in this situation.
Regards,
Sunil

Sun Pathak,
Dont worry till she is not wheezing.
You can wait and let the body fight it out.
But have lycopodium 200 at hand as in coming days if lycopodium 30 doesnt give satisfactory response then a higher potency will be required.
Keep me updated as and when neccesary

Thanks for your response. So whenever she gets wheezing we can administer Lyco 30C and if 30C can't control the problem then we have to administer 200C. Is that correct?

Hi Dr. Yogesh,
Since last three nights my daughter started getting wheezing problem. We tried Lyco-30 but it didn't help much. Tonight we have given her Lyco-200C. We still see wheezing in now. She is feeling little dull but during day time she feels ok though can't put much physical effort.
Before start of current wheezing problem she was feeling ok and didn't had any problems since last updates.
Please let me know if some more details are required.
Thanks and Regards

dear sun pathak,
i am sure dr yogesh will come back with his suggestions - meanwhile could you provide full details on the current health situation of your daughter?
How is your daughter doing now after one dose of Lyc 200?
When (what time) is she getting wheezing? is it only in the night or also in the day? what worsens her condition? what improves her condition?
How is the wheezing getting relieved? Is she better sitting up, lying down, bending forward etc etc? any medicine you administered? Any food that may have triggered the situation? any observable change in the weather during past few days?
Try to provide as much details as possible on current status.
Regards,
-Sriram

Dear Sriram,
I am consolidating my observations below for your queries.
Wheezing is mostly visible in nights. In daytime it reduces to some extent though not fully but she feels comfortable moving around and she attended school in last two days and had an active day life. Though she found herself limited in effort intensive activities like running. She becomes visibly tired after any exertion and towards evening and night she reaches state of exhaustion with lesser amount of effort.
She feels better in open air.Lying down is comforting and wheeze reduces while lying on right side and flares up while lying on back or left side.
We are not giving her any other medication. Last medicine she took was Lyco-30 given on or around 1st july. She was doing good in between and had a normal active life. She got cold and cough few times but wheeze didnt break out.
For a month we had stopped using onions and garlic for cooking and I accept few days prior to this episode we returned to our usual way of cooking as she enjoys food rich in onion, garlic, spices etc.
Rains are more frequent in Bangalore in this season and its true that she doesnt mind walking in drizzle when she gets a chance inspite of all instructions to stay dry.
She also had her unit tests recently and got her marks as well. She shared her marks including the ones where she didnt do good. She is not happy with her results in certain subjects and she fears and avoids them.
We need to observe her state tonight to see the real effect of Lyco-200 dose. Now in morning wheeze has reduced though not fully. Wheeze is accompanied with cold and cough.
Regards,
Sunil

Few additions to last post, there are two new sysmtoms.
1. she has started grinding her teeth during sleep since last few days.
2. At times her gum starts bleeding specially during early morning (probably in night itself). This is limited to her upper teeth gums.

Its evening now and wheeze is still there. Now onwards its likely to increase or stay same in night. I am not sure why she is not responding to medication this time.
Pls respond.

Hi Dr. Yogesh,
She was not well at all, In morning also she had wheezing sound, we gave her carb-v and within few minutes wheezing or its sound disappeared. I am not sure of right medicine but based on past experiences I feel that following medicines help her a lot.
1. Lyco 30C 2. Nux-30C 3. Carb-v 30C 4. Pulsatila 30C at times spongia 30C also helps. Not sure which one will help removing the problem completely but these are the one which were very effective.
We will start with Lyco once again from tonight. Thanks for your inputs. Please let me know if some change is required.
Thanks and Regards

Hi Dr. Yogesh,
We gave her Lyco 1M day before yesterday while she was having wheeze in night. Short time after the dose she got little restless and then slept. Wheeze didnt disappear fully, in day time it gets minimal. Yesterday night also we observed hard breathing.
Any suggestion in case hard breath continues tonight also?
Thanks & Regards,
Sunil

Sunil,
Let the body demand it I mean to say that she will wheeze little And the body will try to settle it if it settles well & good if not she may need another dose.
Watch carefully if mood is good playful , energy level is good then let the remedy work if energy & mood goes down give another dose.

Thanks Dr. Yogesh,
Things seems to improve for better. For last two nights breath is normal with mild cough sometimes.
In case wheeze resurfaces we are supposed to repeat Lyco-1M dose. Am I right?

Dr. Yogesh,
yesterday on 13th night my daughter again broke into wheeze...i am not sure what the trigger was.externally weather etc everything seems to be ok. she got mild cold and then wheeze.
we gave her Lyco-1m. After giving the medication wheeze increased considerably. She started panting heavily with body shake. In the middle of night I waited for sometime to let things settle but later she developed headache then I gave nux30x (30c was not available) follwed by carb veg 30c. I observed she relaxed after that and slept peacefully though wheeze sound continued but with lesser intensity.
In daytime also wheeze is there. In morning again gave her carb veg 30 first and then after a gap of 2 hours gave her Lyco-30. So Lyco-30 is the last medicine given to her.
She is feeling to take rest and avoid activity. She is feeling hungry in a normal way. She is saying that she is happy and not feeling sick but also not intrested in moving around.
Since she is not on any kind of inhalers or allopathic treatment we get confused in this kind of situation when wheeze increases considerably and we dont really know what can give her immediate relief. In december we had to give her one asthalin nebulization when she was looking sick and exhausted after her sports day.
Should we restrict her from sports activities?
Can you pls tell us what shud be the further course of action regarding medication?
Regards,
Sunil

Hi Dr. Yogesh,
Earlier message was posted by my wife. Right now she is there with my daughter. As you know I am in different city because of work.
In emergency she tried Nux and Carb-v because in past we have seen that these medicines also give her relief. Now we are little scarred because if wheeze is there in day time then most likely her condition will become worse during the night.
I gave you complete hisory from bahavioural perspective but probably her medication history was not covered earlier. I will try covering her medication history here.
In Jan 2008 my daughter started wheezing, earlier to 2008 she didn't had any wheezing history(born Sept 1999). We aproached alopathic docs and they started their regular treatment. Her condition started detoriating in subsequent attacks. Then we moved to homeopathy.
Based on her condition our homeopathy doc started with Dulcamara, this improved her condition and at least nibulization was completely stopped. We were happy because we thought that she has got good medicine. We started increasing potency of dose in sunsequent attacks but after few months dulcamara stopped working. Then we switched to some other medicines but when we switched to Pusatilla, we saw good improvement but here also condition similar to dulcamara happened. Then after few more trials we switched to Nux and here we did see really good improvement. This medicine kept her good for long time. Whenever we felt that she might get wheeze we gave nux and it helped. We started from Nux-30c to nux-10M in between my doc used sulpher as well. after all this again this year we returned to same situation. We also tried Dr. Joe's Nat-sulph treatment but that also didn't help much.
I wanted to start everything all over again that's why I posted only psycological, behaviour and other aspects on this forum. I got suggestion about Lyco which really felt like good medicine and we did see good improvement too but looks like we have moved again to quare one position.
I thought, probably higher potency is not working properly that's why suggested my wife to give Lyco-30 too but looks like neither Lyco 1M nor Lyco-30c is working on her.
Please have a re-look at this case again and suggest, if possible then please share your contact details. We can come for personal consultation. I really want her to be healthy once again.
My mail ID is sunilpathak on gmail and phone number is 09560444764. I am ready for remote consultation too.

After giving Lachesis 6c her condition improved. Wheeze went down and she felt energetic, started climbing stairs and went out to play. For last two nights wheeze is under control though cough is there but not frequent.
In case wheeze resurfaces what should be our course of action, should we repeat lachesis 6c or give her lachesis 30c?

Gunjan,
Now her energy is back, that means its the correct medicine now i tell you what to expect it can happen in few days or even after few weeks.
She may start coughing and expectorating large amounts
But wheezing will improve
She'll cough for 3-5 days then she'll improve overall
Dose is to be repeated ONLY IF SHE WHEEZES MORE.
If weezing is little and she is doing her routine comfortably then let the body heal itself that is how the immunity develops.
Any problems you can always tell me.

Dr. Yogesh

Dr. Yogesh,
After giving her lachesis 6c on 16th aug she improved great on wheezing front and cough was also ok. This good state continued till 21st aug.On 21st aug (saturday night) she again got mild wheeze. In daytime she is got fine but any exertion or running triggers wheeze sound. This is sunday night and she is sleeping right now, she is having hard breath. In case wheeze incresses further i will repeat lachesis 6c dose.
This year I am seeing a pattern that she stays ok almost the whole week and she gets wheezing during the weekend. Month of august is not going good as she is picking wheeze almost on weekly basis.
Thanks & Regards,
Gunjan
