Lachesis
I've taken a 1LM dose of lachesis and the following day I've found that I'm really bloated all over especially the tummy and the breasts - this wasn't so bad till I took lachesis. And I've got a bad head and my mood has dropped like a brick. How long will these symptoms lastIs this a healing reaction and will it disappear on my next dose of the 1LM which I'm taking on a daily basis.

Can anyone shed any light - is this a normal reaction should I stop.
I'm scared if I keep taking it I'll end up the size of a house and will get bigger and bigger.

Hi,
Lachesis 1 LM is a high potency. It should not be taken on daily basis unless untill some expert homeopath refers it.
Lachesis is a blood remedy and i m sure it is showing symptoms on your body. Pls stop taking it and consult a good homeopath.
I think drMehfoos or Kadwa can also guide u further if you need an antidote or not

How will it affect when you say it is a blood remedy what will it do? How long will this last on my body - I just want it out and to go back to how I was.

I gave you the so called 'essence of Lachesis remedy' is a bloood remedy, doesnt mean that it will not act on other things. Request you to consult your homeopath again so that He/ she can either Antidote it with an opposite acting remedy or will let u know if you will be fine automatically. By the way the period of action for lachesis i guess is about 30- 45 days.

Even on one small very dose on half a teaspoon will it still last 30 - 45 days.

coffee etc will reduce its action but if u take antodote remedies it wil be appropriate
some antidotes of lachesis are Arsenicum, belladona, calcariacocc, coff etc etc

Please tell me when you said it is a deep acting remedy and shouldn't be prescribed often yet I was told to take 1LM on a daily basis. If I had done this what would have happened - would I have done perm damage?

In todays chemically polluted environment and human bodies, for chronic cases sometimes 1 LM potecies are also prescribed on daily or weekly basis depending upon the case. That might be the reason your doctor might have prescribed it. It will not cause any damage i feel , pls consult your doc

The remedy was prescribed for bloating and constipation and to help get rid of candida. Is this a good remedy.

The remedies are prescribed after observing the totality of symptoms. So i can not prescribe unless the total case is clear .

Hi. I too have been taking Lachesis - apparently it is my 'drug' I am a total Lachesis type to the tea, BUT... I took too much, not knowing how high the dosage was, and how many times I should be taking it. Now, I am proving it and I want it to stop! I've been crying, depressed, do NOT want to be around people (usually very social, and outgoing) Weird cravings, Face feels puffy and bloated, throat hurts, neck pain, all of the symptoms are now what I am feeling! I'm wondering if you could shed some light on any antidotes? I stopped taking it, but I'm wondering if there is anything else I can do to ease back into my normal self.

How long has this proving been going on? (ie. when did you stop the remedy).
Did you self-prescribe this remedy?
What potency did you take and how many doses?
What benefit did you get from the remedy and at what point did you get it?
Do you have any pathological conditions (diseases that have caused tissue changes in the body)?
What are your normal reactions to drugs or to homoeopathic medicines?
Are you on any orthodox medications?
In working out what is happening, there are actually quite a few considerations as you can see. Jumping in to antidote without knowing some of these basics can actually prove more troublesome for you.

Proving has been going on off and on for a month or so. . . But, I misunderstood and did not know that I was only supposed to take one dose once a month. So...when I started feeling the symptoms more, I started upping the dosage when in reality I was proving it and should have stopped taking it! I did not self prescribe. My sister who is a ND did. It is a very high potency; 1 M. I don't usually react to drugs, my usual reaction is a good one, they usually work (I don't ever use any other drugs other than natural remedies) This is the first sensitive reaction I have received. I'm not on any orthodox meds. No diseases. Hope this helps. Thanks!

So the latest dose could be causing the proving to persist. I usually wait a week or so to see how things have settled before deciding if to act or not, UNLESS the patient is in danger.
Our accepted method of curing aggravations is to represcribe based on the symptoms the patient is currently showing, plus any other symptoms they originally had (assuming they are still there).
If the remedy truly is your simillimum, you will get cure after this.
Did your normal symptoms aggravate, or did you just get a whole lot of new symptoms?
How many doses in total did you take?
