Oh, glad you are back. Could hold off giving her antibiotics.

I gave her Puls 200c on Sat. Though seemed to have some improvement in rattling in chest, by evening she had fever and she was very cranky.

Given that Calc Carb had helped her fever last time and since it was 15 days since the last dose, gave her calc carb 200 along with Ferr phos. Monday morning fever was very low though by evening it has risen again.

In between during the day gave her licorice water mixed with milk..

Yesterday mid-night, she vomitted twice (immediately after milk)..it was smelly/ sticky mixed with milk..also during the night had motion. her sputum (whenever there is some) is white & frothy..thus cough not yet ripe.

Today morning there is no fever, cold is much less. Less rattling..

Pls advice if anything is to be given..

There is no fever. She hasn't vomitted since yesterday night ..infact that also started with a bout of coughing (soon after having milk) and then when she got expectoration she ended up vomiting..
Chest - not noisy while breathing (earlier it was). Now only when coughing. Also coughing sound is that of wet cough (not really noisy as it was before).
Runny nose - not continuos, only intermittent.

Am making an effort to learn.. though homeopathy is much more complex science and experience teaches a lot, so need your guidance. If you suggest medicines can revert with how symptoms match it.

I was advised Rhus Tox on this forum for fever/swollen glands. Though fever subsided, congestion remained.
Took Kali Bich (rattly chest, sticky white sputum) and am much better. Was wondering if this would work with my daughter too..pls advise.

Forgot to mention - whenever she tries to eat, she ends up coughing. then she stops eating. Not sure - throat is itching?
Thus basically only on milk diet. Not liking to drink water also.

Her voice also become kind of hacking. So now when she begins coughing, it start with hacking sound and is there for some time.

Her forehead is warmer than the face.

Does it points towards Belladona? (perhaps thats why Calc carb helped?) Pls suggest. If you ould help with key symptoms to look out for Belladonna - would revert if they are there.

Dr Rakesh, her bouts of coughing are increasing and becoming more frequent, keeps coughing till eyes get watery..refusing to take anything but milk..

Thank you for bearing with me..I have tried quite a few homeopaths locally but unfortunately they all believe in combination medicines to be given for 5-6 days before making any change in the medicine..also all of them believe in giving the medicines daily for an extended period of time (not less than 2 months..)

My daughter is doing much better now. Gaver her belladonna at 5:30 yesterday evening. She did have 3-5 bouts of coughing last night. but since morning it is much less (once every on 1 to 1 & half hour as against every 10 minutes yesterday). Also the duration is less - lasting about 5-8 seconds as against 15 sec yesterday. Her coughing starts with dry, hoarse sound and gets progressively intense with chesty/ rattly sound only at the end (unlike earlier when chest used to rattle even when she is laughing). In a better mood today - less cranky/ clingy. today stools were relatively loose but not watery. runny nose only occasional and from the right nostril only. Intermittent sneezing. Eyes brighter today.
Appetite - not yet returned, depending only on milk. She loves bananas, but we not giving her now given the cough/ cold.

Do I need to repeat belladonna?

Dr Rakesh - since yesterday afternoon, her coughing very infrequent and that too two to three coughs at a time. However chest is still congested.
But as coughing got less - her runny nose started again with lot of sneezing..it is kind of constant, egg-white and copious after she cries or sneezing.
It really troubled her a lot last right, could not get comfortable due to blocked nose, finally slept only at 3am!
(gave her Ipecac yesterday evening as suggested.)

Does this suggest Kali Bich?

Gave her Kali bich yesterday evening. She slept well...her cold is much better, though has occassional sneezes with watery discharge.

Congestion is still there. Hope would get better with Kali Bich.

Sir, she is sleeping well...
but her congestion is still there, nasal discharge frequency is less and is like egg-whites. When she moves about a lot or does physical activity, she has shortness of breath.
We met a local doctor yesterday (to rule out anything else) and she also confirmed she has congestion..

Seeing that KAli Bich has had a significantly positive effect after the first dose(gave her 30c everyday for 3 days - after the 1st day no further improvement), I gave her 200c yesterday, don't notice any significant improvement..

WHat do you suggest to clear her congestion..shall we try ANTIM TART again or wait?

No family history of tuberculosis..
though her father in his growing up years suffered from bronchitis and still has wheezing whenever he catches cold..

My congestion has cleared up with KaliBich.

she has a few coughs when she wakes up..other than that it is pretty occasional and that one or two coughs (with rattly sound though). Runny nose again occasional. OTher than that she is pretty playful and happy for the last 2-3 days..

Shall I give Merc Sol?

Don't think this has any relation but she had a mosquito(?) bit on her leg which later became a boil. The boil, filled with liquid, burst revealing tender skin beneath..however this lesion continued to grow and became a rupee sized wound. Calendula cream , nebasulf had no effect. Now she has been given tpoical antibiotic to apply. She has been advised oral antibiotics to clear up congestion as well as the lesion.. as the lesion has responded well to the cream, we are holding off oral antibiotics right now. In general, her skin takes time to heal..umbilical cord stub took 40 days to dry!

Just to clarofy --Did you mention Merc Sol (you have written Merc Soc)..

Just to add..she was a little constipated today..stools were hard.

Also her father usually responds to Hepar Sulph.

One more thing...she has been passing water a lot..earlier I thought this is due to onset of monsoons..but of late it is a lot, at times as often as every 10-15mins..

Sir, she has responded to Merc Sol- Nasal discharge almost none, is not short of breath while moving around. congestion is less, rattling is less and occassional.

Just one thing - she seems constipated now. Quantity of stools is less.

Her chest congestion is better. Coughing is occassional, generally during eating or crying - though still has a rattling sound.
Her appetite has increased.
She is not cranky at all.
Is not constipated now - though stools were very smelly.
Just one thing - nasal congestion at night is not improving. There is no sneezing and it doesnot trouble her during the day. Nasal discharge is now less and is thick so that it sticks around the nostrils.

But at night she still needs Vaborub to help her breathe..also can breathe only when lying on back, and since her normal sleeping position is on her stomach, she ends up waking a couple of times due to blocked nose.

I am not using it everyday and try to avoid it. But when she keeps tossing, at mid-night we apply just a small amount on the nose cartilage from the outside...else she is just not able to settle midnight...
