dr. joe - spider veins on nose
Dear Doctor Joe,I am 20 year old female. I have a serious cosmetic issue which I really need help with. I have normal skin which leans more towards the sensitive side. Its neither very oil nor very dry. I do not use any creams or lotions on my skin, just a basic cleanser to wash my face every night. However, recently, both sides of my nose have been plagued by these small, red-colored spider veins which look absolutely terrible. These small spider-web-like veins appear at the nostril and cheek junction...also it seems like when these veins appear, the sides of my nose become slightly swollen (so my nose seems larger!!) Also sometimes the area stings. I cannot find a cause for their sudden appearance. I am in very good health...I am not overweight, suffering from any illness and I have never used any cosmetic junk on my face.
Dr. Joe I have asked you specifically because you seem to be the ONLY one on this forum who genuinely cares for others who are suffering, in addition to possessing valuable knowledge of homeopathy. No one else here has even tried to help me! They replied 'please seek homeopaths in your area.' Well, I certainly would if there were any in my area, but there are NOT, that is why I have come here!!

PS: I did some research on Google and it seems they recommend Pulsatilla, Sepia, Hamamelis, Lachesis, and Calc. Carb for varicose and spider veins....however I will not initiate any remedy before your approval and thoughts.

You may like to know that I am 81 years of age and am a musician myself and have been on the Piano for the last 70+ years. i now spend about 2-3 hours daily listening to music as I now doing even as I type.
I project a slightly different approach to Homeopathy which is now accepted as 'Joepathy' worldwide. You may like to Google this term if you are interested in reading some of my choice cases of which over 1500 are now listed.
Your case is interesting as I have not come across the Spider veins you describe on the nose and face. They are usually reported from the legs and hands and sometimes on the inner surface of the arms.
A remedy that I have prescribed extensively is Arnica 6c in the Wet dose which you will make in the manner described below. You can take a dose twice daily and report your response in a week.
Do not use any face cream or other oily substance that can exacerbate your condition by blocking the pores.
The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:
Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack aka Liquid Dilution in a bottle with a dropper arrangement.
If this is not available the Dry dose in pellets may be use but this is not as effective as the remedy in the original Ethanol pack
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle or 6 Pellets and shake it hard to produce bubbles. This is homeopathic succussion and must be done every time before a capful of the bottle which is the dose is taken as directed.

I will try to see if I can locate any homeopathic stores in and around my area, if not, I will order the Arnica online.. and I will report my results back to you ASAP! I have written down the instructions for making the Arnica 6x wet dose and I will carefully follow them when preparing the medicine.
