Burning throat problem - please help

Dear all,

Please help me with my throat burning with homeopathic medicine. Here is my problem.

I have a burning sensation in throat particularly at the place where nose connects to throat. I am taking Nexium 40(to suppress acidity) now. I was reading abut acidic reflux in this forum I learned Lycopodium may help. It really helped to reduce the problem and after 4 days of taking Lycopodium now I have the throat burning again.

Actually the burning sensation extends to left ear. I am diabetic, smoker and take little alchohol too. I take Num Vomica whenever I feel constipation. I took about 6 courses of antibiotics in last 2 1/2 months. Every winter I get this. I am living in New Jersey, USA. In the nights around 1 am it gets worse and I had to wake up. The burning is worse at 4-6 pm and in the night around 1-3 am. Almost through out the day I am feeling this burning sensation in my throat. An ENT specialist tested for any cancer or tumor symptoms and there is no symptom of them.

Waiting to hear from you.

Thank you.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
NO - NO - NO - dont take antibiotics ever . Only exception ;- at deaths door.

You would be told this by most homeopaths ;- also that you should not smoke or take alcohol if you are daibetic.

The antibiotics destroy the flora and fauna that are the body's natural defense system. Result , indigestion and burning throat.

Does sound as if Lycopodium may be your remedy .
1] stop drinking [alcohol]

2] stop [or drastically cut]smoking.

3] get lactobacillus or live yoghurt on a daily basis.

4] get lycopodium 10M and take 3 doses at 24 hr intervals [ on going to bed]

5] Get some szygyium 1x and take whenever the stomach feels upset [but not too often]

See how you are in 2/3 weeks

Thank you very much for your information Passkey. Isn't it Lycopodium 10M too high potency?. Because I have Lyc 200C and 30C, which I took 200C once and 30C three times a day.

Thank you.

I am doing salt water gargling starting today.

Actually the throat is very very dry in the nights. I couldn't even drink my first gulp of water. I cannot swallow saliva.

Dry throat is almost certainly due to diabetes - take a couple of Syzygium 1x when this happens at night- see how you go.

thank you passkey for syzygium.
can you or anybody else answer to my question of the potency 10m is higher or not or just right?

thank you

The 'higher' the potency, the less the actual substance of medicine and the greater it's power from dynamisation. Also, the higher the potency, the more direct it's action, and the lower the potency, the more diffused the action. Don't use a high potency unless you are sure you have the similimum. So, check and see if Lyco fits you near-perfectly, and if so, then go for 10M.
