Icthyosis

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I came to know there is better treatment in homeopathy for Icthyosis and that may even cure the disease. while searching on the site I came across the name of doctor Bhatnagar in Delhi kindly give his contact details, if there is any other renowned or good doctor to treat this ailment please suggest and give his/ her contact details.

Icthyosis is a Psorisic group of disease and a particular medicine works on it, that is Sycamore or Platanus. I am treating two patients with good success. Only mother tincture works, I am using juice of the fresh leaves, it can be taken as homeopathy dose as well as it can be applied locally.

This tree is all over in Europe and North America but in India it is only found in Kashmir, Chinar is the local name.

All material medicas has a reference to this medicine regarding ichthyosis.

Hi Kuldeep,

Can you tell me more about these remedies for ichthyosis please. I have been it since an infant but only managed to know its name about 5 years ago from a skin specialist in Australia. Previously, all other doctors just said it was extremely dry skin. My little 14 month old is looking like she has it because her skin is showing tiny scales and looks older than infant young skin should be no matter how much oil or creams I use on her. Please help.

Psorisic group of desease is where skin cells grow too fast and fall like scales, or they are just unable to fall.

Arsenic group of medicines and Platanus work on this group of disease. Arsinum works because most of these patients are arsenic constituinal. (It is amazing, most of patients are hyperactive and tidious)

This group of disease is rare in rural people and mostly found in people with urban lifestyle. Hypertension could be a cause.

I was told it was a genetiic problem; my dad had it and it was probably due to some asthma medications that he had. Can you advice how I can self help? Tried many homeopaths, naturopaths in years but everyone told me it was genetic or liver related and I have been liver cleansed so much, I have very much given up on any cure at all but now that I have a ilttle one, I am hoping I can help her not having to live with the stigma of having fish scale like skin.

Sycamore and Platanus are the two medicines suggested. Kindly recommend the dosage and of what strength i should consume. My skin is scaly on hands and legs> On chest and back i feel the irritation.

Sycamore and Platanus are the same medicine. Platanus is the botanical name of Sycamore.

Take mother tincture 5-7 drops twice a day. I dont' know if you may be able to obtain it because it is not much common. If you are in USA you can find Sycamore tree everybody. It sheds its bark that's why it is indicated for scaly skin diseases.

Thank you for advice. I have asked around today and searched on the Internet but could not find sycamore mother tincture. I am here in Australia and I don't think they have sycamore trees at all. Is there anywhere else I might be able to find sycamore?

Sycamore is a die hard and wide spread tree, identify this tree at

I am sure it can be found in cooler places of Australia but it is a huge country. It has bark like eucalyptus tree but leaves are like maple tree. It sheds its think white bark.
