Hepar Sulph was working but now...

Hey guys! :)

Have had a facial skin infection for a while, after long years of antibiotic use, i turned to homeopathy which has so far done what no antibiotic could do :)

- My skin battled Folliculitis of the facial hair region.
- Tried Arsenicum 6c to no avail.

Last week i took Hepar Sulph 6c, 5 times a day. Within 4 days my body had finally cleared up a large majority of the infection. On the 5th day I continued at a lower dose (taken 3 times) and i noticed the infection was coming back quick.

I'm not sure if i should get back on Hepar Sulph or change remedies or continue to leave it.

Thanks for any help/suggestions out there! :)

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Either you may try Hepar Sulph 200c thrice a day at a gap of 4 hours for only one day (not daily) and see how that affects you in the next 15 days.

Or

Please copy the Questionnaire from the following thread

and post all the questions here duly answered. On that basis your remedy may be worked out.

Thanks for your quick reply! :)

As homeopathy isn't a big thing where i am from, the only remedies i can find are only available in 6c. Would i be able to adjust amount of pilules to contemplate 200c?

Thankyou, dearly Kadwa :)

Here is the questionaire:

1. Describe your main suffering?
Constant infection of the hair follicles and sweat glands surrounding the facial hair region.
Diagnosed as 'Folliculitis' by General Practitioner.
Comes out in small pustules around the same regions.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?
Neck/head pain.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?
Nothing really.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
Worry. Anxiety. Both can build up to anger quite quickly as a result of tiring from battling infection.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?
Started with shaving several years ago. Was prescribed with antibiotics. Everytime after the last, the infection would come back stronger and more resistant to antibiotics.

6. Which time of the day you are worst?
Probably 9-11PM. And also during sleep since most of the pustules form then.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?
Shaving of course, I do this extremely carefully every 3-5 days.
Sleeping on that particular side of the face.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?
Seems to be better when my routine puts me to sleep before midnight and wakes me before 9.

Cold.

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.

No.

- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?
Yes.

Not different.

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?
Antibiotics:
Took a wide array of both topical and oral antibiotics. The only effective one was Bactrim DS (oral). Which slowly became inadequate for my situation; even after 2 continuous months of treatment, if 1 tablet had been forgotten, the infection would arise.

Alternative medicines:
-Not sure as to what herbs i was drinking. Herbal doctor removed heat from my body during a 4 month course of herbs which (from the 2nd week) controlled the majority of the infection but did not completely remove it.
-(2 weeks after last herbal cycle) Homeopathy: Arsenicum 6c was taken for 1 week, no signs of relief. Hepar Sulph 6c was taken for 4 days, relief was seen from the 2nd day. By the 6th day the infection had come back. I am here now.

Please take silicea 6c thrice a day at a gap of 4 hours for few days and see how that affects. Please stop taking the remedy if there is substantial improvement. Silicea seems to be a better choice looking at your mentals.
