This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Succussion isn't just shaking - you must hit the bottle against an elastic surface - like the palm of the hand, or a book. Shaking does create some shifts in potency, but to get the full effect (and to make each dose more effective) the bottle must be struck against something.

There is some debate about the number of times the bottle needs to be struck. I find that 2 hits is more than enough, but many practitioners prefer 10 or 20 hits.

As per Dr Luc Du Schepper's research (based on Hahenmann's observations), the number of hits can be adjusted to the sensitivity of the patient or to the stubborness of their disease. The less hits the less aggravation a sensitive person will get. However the more hits the more potent the dose becomes, and it can overcome diseases that are apparently resisting the remedy.

Succussion of each dose you take is extremely important to the continued effectiveness of a specific potency.

I would like to mention for the record that I converted to the Wet dose after studying the response of patients who were treated by Luc when he was here in Sri Lanka to treat the survivors of the Tsunami in 2005. Prior to my contact with him, I used and gave remedies in the dry pellets which would sometimes cause 'proving' if used on a daily basis in the manner that I have taken Arnica 30 in the Wet dose nightly since 1996 and proved that it is helps anyone who takes it in this manner.

Hahnemann discovered that Succussion or violent agitation of the remedy increased the potency of the remedy by a minuscule fraction, thereby rendering the remedy to be more effective to heal the patient. He stipulated that the glass bottle which was the only form of container available during his time, be hit on an old book like a Bible, to succuss it.

Hitting a PLASTIC bottle of spring water can sometimes shatter the PET plastic used in its manufacture and after several experiments and careful observation I changed my instructions to the patient to shake the bottle hard to ensure bubbling as this shaking ensures that the water which is the remedy made with just 3 drops of the Liquid Dilution in Ethanol is rendered more powerful to heal the patient.

It is the concept of the Wet dose that is of interest as it is made by inserting just 3 drops of the liquid remedy in a 500ml bottle of spring water. Succussion of the remedy water either by hitting it on a book or by shaking hard in the hand is not the main point of interest as it is more the use of just 3 drops in the water which many patients have queried as it seems very strange to them that these 3 drops can possibly make any difference to the water in direct contrast to taking the standard lactose pellets or globules which is widely in use even today by homeopaths to whom the Wet dose concept is unknown. I may mention here that I instructed my patients originally to use the pellets to make the Wet dose but discovered later that the Liquid Dilution in Ethanol was by far more potent in making the Wet dose.

It is my hope that my critics will also practice what they preach by emulating my example in their daily practice.

Please visit the links below for further information on how I converted to the Wet dose in 2005.

To Lonely

Please note that my post above clarifying the method of using and succussing the Wet Dose which I promote to make the remedy, does not include the Arnica Q emulsion in Olive Oil which must be made with a 20% mix of the Arnica Q in 80% Olive Oil.

It is unfortunate that the Olive oil does make the hair a mess and this is a problem for a woman but I have used this emulsion for over 20 years daily after a shower and at age 82 I have a full head of grey/black hair with no bald spots which is normal with anyone my age.

My therapy for Hair Loss has been proved to be very effective and many thousands are using it today some on a commercial basis, when the Hair Tonic is sold at high prices.

It is up to you to decide if your loss of hair is worth the mess that the oil creates as there is a possibility that you may eventually discover that you do not have any hair at all to use the Arnica emulsion on, in a few months or years if you continue to lose hair daily.
