headache with treatment

I have begun carbo veg with a homeopath but every time I have it I get a migraine. I used to get migraine in the past but not this badly. I am only having it every 3 days diluted in water but still reacting. I also have cystitis which i have never had in the past.

My original symptoms of insomina , aching legs ,sore tongue and throat have improved a little bit but
now the headaches disrupt my sleep.

I thought homeopathy was meant to be without side effects but am reluctant to keep going . Should I persevere? Can homeopathy work for me? Maybe I am one of those oversensitive types.

Thanks

Homoeopathy is not without side-effects. In the hands of careless prescribers, or when given to very sensitive patients, it can produce very marked aggravations or difficult new symptoms.

This is the problem with portraying Homoeopathy as miraculous and unable to harm people. It creates unreasonable expectations and then disappointment in patients.

Anything that can cure, can harm. That is an unavoidable truth. But it is the power of homoeopathy to cause symptoms, that allows us to cure them. There is no way around it.

If we assume that the Carbo-veg is the correct medicine then your reaction most likely means the dose is too large or too frequent.

It is possible to dilute the remedy even further though to manage your rection. I find for very sensitive patients that 1 drop placed in a full cup of water, stirred and 1 teaspoon taken out, placed into another cup of full water, stirred, and then 1 teaspoon of that taken into the mouth, usually reduces aggravation very significantly. If this is still not enough, I will continue adding a cup of water until they do stop aggravating.

I remember a Colchicum patient of mine (a plant also known as the Sensitive Lady) who had been unable to use homoeopathy due to her sensitivity. She came to me desperate because she had heard from other patients that I make an effort to control aggravation. We need to dilute her single drop into 5 cups before she was able to endure her aggravation.

It was interesting - in 1 cup, her first aggravation was 3 weeks long. In 2 cups it was 1 week. In 3 cups it was about 4 days. In 4 cups it was 1 day. In 5 cups it was a few hours. After that she was able to dose every week and was cured.

Diluting into extra cups also reduced the severity of the aggravation quite markedly.
