The ABC Homeopathy Forum

10 year old has headaches for 20 days

So my 10 year old son has had headaches everyday, all day and night for the past 20 days. Nothing really caused it that we know of. The headache is all over, sometimes on the top of the head, or in the back. “It’s like a boom”, most likely pulsating. It’s worse in the evening, before bed, at night and in the morning, better during the day or when he’s busy doing something fun (like play video games). He likes warm foods, doesn’t like cold foods, or weather. He has dry skin in the winter. We’ve tried belladonna, gelsenium and sulphur. We’ve had blood tests, everything is normal. CT scan on the head is normal as well. Please advise the remedy we can try. Thank you.

Did you repeat the remedy sulphur 30 or 200 and belladonna? That is causing severe dryness of the whole body and heaviness of head.

He’s had dryness of hands and feet every winter even before I gave sulphur or belladonna for his headaches.

This could be coming from his neck vertebrae-
the neck vertebrae control the head nerves.
And he could have tweaked out his neck from repetitive motion playing video games and also sleeping with neck in wrong position. Many people have things like this bc they are at the computer for hours with monitor in wrong position where they slightly bend the neck-
And over time pain starts.
Try massaging his neck and see if there is a reaction of more pain or less pain. There are remedies for this but it will continue if the posture etc is not adjusted.

I took him to the chiropractor, and his atlas was misaligned and his neck muscles were very stiff on his right side. After the adjustment they relaxed, after that the headaches got worse. Then a bit better, but the severity comes and goes. I’m thinking of taking him again to get adjusted and make sure everything is as it should. Is there anything I can give him for that?

does movement make it better or worse?

I’ve had a lot of friends-relatives with similar. they were helped by Rhus tox 30c. They also went to chiropractor for adjustment- The slightest thing put them out of adjustment again. They fixed computer height- put phones on set ups where they were reading, playing games as if computer screen- They got neck pillows etc-
It’s not an easy fix. Amazon has a heated shiatsu neck device that massages the neck vertebrae- I just ordered that for a relative bc their work
Makes it easy to forget their neck positions.

The problem can be on amount of either wrong posture, both while playing video games or sleeping. This has already been pointed out by Simone. It can also be from Eye Strain.
What you can do for immediate relief is first apply some hot compress to the neck on both sides and the back. This you can do by applying a hot iron to a towel and then applying the towel to the neck. You can do this for around ten minutes. Next thing to do is ask him to move the neck GENTLY to both sides atleast twenty times in a sitting position with spine erect. Remember, force should not be applied while moving the neck.
If the problem is on account of eye strain ask him to splash cold water on the eyes a few times daily in the morning and afternoon. Ask him not to read any books or watch TV or use mobile phone or play video games for a week. You may need to visit a EYE SPECIALIST to find out if anything is wrong with the eyes.
You can also ask him to sleep without pillow for a few days.
