Genital Herpes

I contracted herpes a little less than a year ago and have had an outbreak now for 4 months. I have been taking valcyclovir (valtrex) and lysine with very little success. It worked in the beginning to get rid of the initial outbreak but since then it hasn't done anything. Most of my outbreaks do not hurt except for a slight tingling when I am about to get an outbreak. I have looked through many of the posts and found differing answers. Could someone help
me find a remedy that will work?

Thanks,
Matt

Below is a questionnaire i found as part of another post which i thought may be helpful.
1. Describe your main suffering?
Genital Herpes (HSV2). I contracted herpes a little less than a year ago and have had an outbreak now for 4 months and have been taking valcyclovir (valtrex) and lysine with very little success. Most of my outbreaks do not hurt except for a slight tingling when I am about to get an outbreak.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?
I have had more back pain for the past 6ish months. Another physical suffering is that I have a very low pain tolerance (always had this) and have small sharp shooting pains randomly (again always have had these as well)

None.

The herpes outbreaks do not mentally affect me other than being annoyed that I have had this outbreak this long.

I contracted herpes about a year ago but this last outbreak started about 4 months ago. I don’t believe there was any major event or disease at the time.

I feel fine and about the same all day long.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?
Nothing has made this better or worse so far.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?
No.

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
I don’t feel that the weather affects me.

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.
For this one I consulted my girlfriend…I am a little moody and stubborn. I am always busy with projects and try to avoid emotional stress.

Excited and want to watch the storm.

Not really, I’m typically upset until I find a resolution.

Hey, Its been one week. I noticed within the first 3 days that most of the physical signs of herpes have almost disappeared completely and I was down to no pain/irritation. Yesterday I started to notice a slight irritation like i was feeling another outbreak coming on. Today that feeling is slightly worse but i still have no signs of an outbreak.

I am curious if i should take another dose to see if that helps cure this outbreak. So far I'm very pleased with the results I've been seeing I'm just thinking that possibly the first dose wasn't enough to fight it completely.

Thanks all the help so far.

Rozzo...you can repeat it after one week from the first dose.

With the first dose...some times the symptoms come and go..since the dose works for atleast a week.

I am glad it is working for you.

Punkaj, Thanks for the help.

My condition has slowly been getting worse. Originally the first dose made just about all of the outbreaks go away so i followed it by a 2nd dose to hopefully clear the rest. That also didn't appear to clear everything up so i took a 3 dose the following week. After the 3rd dose i started to notice its affect greatly reduced and by the following Wednesday i decided it wasn't working and took another. I now have been doing twice a week doses and now I'm back to full break out again. Do you have anything else you can suggest?

Please do not take any more doses.

You must post your current symptoms including discharges, if any? Please tell us about your state of mind and energy level.

I dont have any discharges. The outbreaks i have are located on my groin area around the base of my penis. They are itchy and look like small pimples (around 20 small sores)

Lately I have been working a lot due to a project so I'm under a lot more stress than normal. I always have a good state of mind and I'm always joking around trying to have a fun time with whatever I'm doing.

I just started (this week) a workout routine to help loose some weight so I'm a little wore out from that. I feel a little run down due to long hours at work and not getting enough sleep at night.

If there is anything else you want to know please let me know. Thanks for the help!

Is the condition worse than it was before the Hepar sulph?

Was the condition worsening even before the Hepar Sulph was taken?

Do you have any new symptoms of any sort, even if seemingly unconnected to the herpes?

My condition is better than before taking the hepar sulph but slowly getting worse and I'm guessing it will be as bad in about a week or two. Before taking the first dose of Hepar Sulph my outbreak was staying about the same (i was in a constant outbreak for 2 months). By the end of the first week of hepar sulph I only had one sore left and by the end of the second week that last sore was almost gone. That was the point where i believe it started to get worse and the hepar sulph lost its effectiveness.

As far as other symptoms, my right eye twitches randomly. I have been told that is due to stress. I have been blowing my nose a lot more than usual. Its usually the harder type that sticks to the inside of your nose. Also in the mornings i have been waking up with a plugged nose for the past month or so.

How did you take the subsequent doses? (how did you physically take them)

It is possible that either the dosage needs to be adjusted, or that the Hepar sulph may have only palliated the symptoms.

I had bought the multi-dose container of the hepar sulph 1m so I put 5 of the pills into the cap and put them under my tongue and let them dissolve on their own. I took them in the morning on an empty stomach and then didn't eat for an hour after.

I believe its very possible that Hepar Sulph only palliated my symptoms. Almost the same thing happened when i was on the valcyclovir; in the begining it made my outbreak go away completely but over time it slowly lost its effectiveness to the point where its no longer doing anything. When I first took the hepar sulph it did the same thing. In the first 3 days the outbreak was almost gone but it didnt get rid of it all at any point during the treatment.

Thanks for your help.

1M is a very high potency - if 3 doses have not markedly reduced the intensity or suffering associated with the herpes then it is not likely to be a curative remedy. As you can see, most palliation typically wears off over time and becomes less effective.

A deeper actiing remedy really needs to be found, with a proper case taken. Are you familiar with the process of homoeopathic prescribing?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
I agree.

This was my first encounter with homeopathics so I am not familiar with the prescribing process. Is there something I can read to become more familiar?

Thanks for your help.
