FEMALE HAIR LOSS- HELP!! Page 2 of 2

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I have to say that the Nourkrin didn't really do anything at all.
I've recently been diagnosed with PCOS, so for me it's definately a hormonal thing and I'm taking herbal remedies to help balance my hormones. Taking Agnus Castus at the mo, and going to try Saw Palmetto. I'll let you know how I get on.

It's so the MIRENA IUD. They dont want to acknowledge it in their literature - but I too have lost 1/4 of my hair by now. I had it for 4 months - have had it removed for almost 2 now - and the hairloss has lessened...a bit - but not enough that ive been able to go one day without thinking about it a dozen times. I don't touch my hair, i do little more in the shower anymore but stand and watch the hairs circle around the drain cover i had to put in to keep the drain from clogging. I might have still tried it - but if Id known about the possibility of hairloss - I would have connected the cause and symptom much quicker - and would maybe have kept more hair on my head.

I don't know where i'll end up - I hate to think i'm behind the curve and there will be less hair sooner than it manages to regrow itself. My hair is long and i'm already figuring in a few more weeks i'll have break down and go short because of all the little hairs coming in.

I wish that the search for IUD would bring up these sites earlier so others would be more likely to see this - because few people will type hairloss iud until they're already losing it and looking for information.

Looking for others wanting to vent and share ... Will keep you all updated.

Hi I got the IUD inserted recently and have seen significant hairloss. I thinks it is the responsible party, there is thinning at the top and the sides.

I would like to launch my sincere views through abs homeopathy that no application on hair would be effective unless the oral remedies are taken. I have cured so many patients suffering from hair-loss with the remedy Selenium 3o or 200. If one wants to know how to use it may post one's queries in this forum.

Hello Dr,

Could you please tell me your remedy? I have been suffering from hair loss for over a year now. I am female with no real health issue. I tried the Arnica 30C in the liquid dose but it did not help.

What can you suggest?

I have two bald spots on the top of my head. One is 2 x 1 inches. and the other is 2 x 3 inches. I have had all of the blood tests done and am told everything is ok and it must be stress. I don't feel stress is the answer. I had a Mirena IUD placed in Feb. 05. within 6 months the bald spots started. If someone is doing a class action and needs some pictures and statements I would be glad to provide. I am going to keep the IUD because of the protection it offers. I have changed my hairstyle to cover the spots. I might have it removed if the spots get any bigger.

I too am 27 and have had significant hair loss. My hair is still long but it is brittle and it was once twice as thick. I too have the Mirena IUD and have gained well over 50 pounds in the last year alone. I have been reading alot about thyroid symptoms and I think that may be what I have but now I am thinking it might be the IUD. I am gonna make an appointment with my doctor and have my thyroid checked. If it is not that then I think it must be from the IUD. But so far all my symptoms seem like those of a thyroid problem.

Please type Hair Loss in the search window on the left and you can read the advice that I and others have given to arrest this condition and also to regrow hair.

Briefly the remedy is Arnica 30c in the wet dose taken twice daily to arrest the loss of hair. I have also recommended the use of Arnica Q in a mix of 20% with Coconut or Olive oil which is massaged into the hair roots as this too help to regrow hair within 2 months.

If you have any questions after you read the posts feel free to post again.

Joe De Livera last decade
I have read previous post here where people have written that their hair grew back with Arnica wet dose Joe De Livera's way.

Some also used white iodine.

Do a search at this website by typing in 'hair loss' in the white space to your left of your screen at this site. You will locate different things people have done.

I too had significant hair loss but it seems to have been remedied or at least controlled by using biotin 5000 twice/day; previously I used silicia pellets and this also helped.........but the biotin seems to have controlled it; I have almost no hair loss now. Also I started taking gingko bilboa 24x for tinnitus and noticed my hair looking better.....since it causes circulation to scalp, maybe this helped as well............

I am 34F and I have been loosing my hair for almost 7 years now. It is getting thin, I was on seizure meds for years, but no longer take anything. Just multivitamins. I am anemic, so I do take Iron...
I have recently been blessed with tiny scalp pimples and my scalp hurts if I wear my hair in a clip. Besides Rogaine and ball caps....I have been using Avalon Shampoo just recently...what else do you suggest. I am blessed with a great family..great friends...but this is really depressing and so...i do drink ....diet sodas mixed with rum. I am so bummed by this I just hate it. I love my handsome hubby and he loves me..but the new consant reminder of my falling out hair with this SORE scalp is just bringing me down.
ANY Advice..please

Greatly Appreciated Of Any Help
M

I would like to know how to regrow hair with selenium; i presently take selenium in pill form, is this sufficient to help regrowth?
I believe my loss is from hormonal (menopausal) or thyroid/adrenal or both. I have very thick hair except for the top and temple areas where I have completely lost all the wonderful natural volume I used to have. The loss started with menopause and got worse several years later when I was dx'd with thyroid. I am currently on armour thyroid, and some adrenal meds, as well as biotin 5000, iron blood builder, and occasionally selenium.

I wonder if the selenium or arnica would work for my daughter who lost hair due completely to yasmin. When she stopped taking it her hair fell out. She has switched to ortho cyclen now but I wonder if these remedies could help restore her hair to how it was pre-yasmin.
