Hi doctor,am from Nigeria,earlier these month my mother blood pecentage was 15%,i thought that it could be hypertites,she was later given 4 pounds of blood at the hospital,but the blood % continue droping due to high body temperature at night,her doctor discharge her from the hospital,he said the blood sholtage is as a result of spiritual attack.,my mother had been at home all these while.,my problem now is that,she can't feel her self like before,she feels dizzy,right now am given her some blood tonics..doctor i want to know if her discomfort,dizzy and lose of strenght could be as a results of the different 4 pounds of bloods she took at the hospital,.thanksPaulinus on 2010-12-27

Stop the blood tonics. Give your mother a homeopathic remedy Ars. Alb. 30c 2 pills or drops thrice daily for next 3 days. Report in a week.

Yes it's likely that her system is showing some undesirable reaction towards the new blood.

It's not cross matching. The cross matching would result in death within a few hours of blood transfusion. You need to talk to your doctor about this tranfusion to check if the right blood(for e.g right blood group with right rhesus anti bodies) was given to her.
What your mum is having is--- some allergic reaction or in other words side effects from new blood.
Only to help her symptoms i have suggested a homeopathic remedy. We can only go from there seeing how she responds to the above medicine. Without such intervention she is likely to have the said symptoms for a long time.
Another point is even before this transfusion she seems to have some serious issue when her blood level is going down. That needs to be dealt with properly.
