Muscle Jerking during sleep

Hi Gang,

Rough couple of days for me, I havent been able to fall asleep, because seemingly from out of nowhere, my arms, legs, neck, abdomen and basicly every muscle I have, has been twitching and jerking.

Its most problematic at night when trying to go to sleep, i keep getting electrical shocks and the legs will lift, or arms will.

it will pick any muscle it feels like, and jerk or kick, and move around from site to site one at a time.

For example, first maybe my leg lifts, then my adomen twitches, then my neck might jerk, and then my arm my raise.

No real rhyme or reason to it, other than it picks one muscle at a time to kick or jerk with.

But you can imagine how this can drive you crazy, and it prvents me from falling asleep and staying asleep.

I believe the medical term is MYOCLONIC KICKS, and it does seem to start up when im drifting off to sleep.

I need something to quiet this down, I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I notice you were prescribed Nux-vomica in a previous post. What were the results of that? How many doses did you take? How long did you take it for?

It seems your disease has continued to evolve - I assume these new symptoms are on top of the original ones?

Yes, I was bothered by tension tight of headaches, but they had dissipated before i actually gotten around to getting nux.

I have some kind of neuroligical disease that was never diagnosed, most of the tests were normal at the time. So I haven pretty much gieven up what the name of it is, but I do wish to find remedies for what ails me.
