Dengue fever .......need urgent help
Dear Sir,I am staying at present at Paraguay (South America), border of Brazil and Argentina .there is epidemic of Dengue fever & dengue hemorrhagic fever. More than 1200 cases confirmed, approximate 5000 cases suspected & many deaths.
The local people over here have little information about homeopathic remedies. One Brazilian doctor is trying to spread awareness by sending e- mail about prevention & treatment of dengue by homeopathy .she suggested following combination of medicines for prevention & treatment of Dengue fever including for children and older persons. Original message was in Portuguese language, the English translation is following-
Formula no. 1(for Dengue fever )-
Eupatorium perf.
China off
Gelsemium
Ledum palustre
Rhus tox
All together 5 ch, take 3 drops in 15 ml of water. Daily, in the morning, till dengue threat exits. After 2 months, take 3 times a week only.
Formula no. 2 (for dengue hemorrhagic fever )
Phosphorus
Crotalus horridus 30 ch each,
Take 5 drops in 15 ml of water, once in 15 days, with formula no. 1 of Dengue fever. After 2 months, take once in a month till dengue threat exits.
For Treatment—
In case of confirmation of dengue- Dengue fever (formula no.1) - take 3 drops every one hour till symptoms better. Then every 2 hours and then every 3 hours till symptoms disappears.
In case of confirmation of dengue hemorrhagic fever –take Dengue fever formula no.1 & Formula no.2 for dengue hemorrhagic fever 3 times a day. Suspend medication only after level of platelets become normal (above 150,000).
I am seeking your professional opinion about this formula. Are this combination of medicines is effective for prevention and treatment of dengue and avoid complications? Need Any change in potency ?i have a son 4 years,what potency can be given to children of this age?
Kindly inform if any other homeopathic medicines which has been proved to treat dengue symptoms.
Please treat this matter as urgent.

I have used the following remedies for patients suffering from Dengue successfully:
All remedies to be used in the Wet dose (see below) taken every 2-3 hours till symptoms pass away which is usually in 48 hours.
Eupatorium Perf 200C
Bryonia 200
With High Fever Aconite 200
Ice Pack on head is essential.
Prophylactic to prevent others catching Dengue
Gelsemium 30 in the Wet dose taken twice daily.
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever
Crotalus Horridus 200c
Millefolium 200c
The Platelet count can be stabilized by giving the patient the juice from a freshly cut Papaya leaf. The leaf is crushed in a Blender and a teaspoonful of the juice is give 4 times daily.
If you are infected in your country with the Chikungunya Virus the remedy I have used is:
Polyporous Pinicola 200c in the Wet dose taken every 2-3 hours.
The patients recovers within 24 hours.
Prophylactic to prevent others catching Chikungunya
Gelsemium 30 in the Wet dose taken twice daily.
The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:
Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.
You have asked for my opinion on the formulas that you listed in your post.
I do not agree to mixing remedies especially in the low 5 Ch or 5c potencies together. In any case 5c is too low a potency to help an acute disease like Dengue and I consider that it is a waste of time.
If you use my therapy, I shall expect you to please post the response of patients to my therapy aka 'Joepathy'.

The dose you will use for both adults and children who are suffering from Hemorrhagic Fever is:
1 Capful from the bottle every 2 hours.
You can reduce the frequency of the dose to just 3 times daily when the patient responds and the fever abates.

If the Homeopath prescribes a remedy in the 200c potency it is usually done to help the patient who is suffering from the acute stage of the ailment like Dengue. The remedy in the Wet dose which can be a teaspoonful of the remedy or for convenience a capful of the same bottle can be given every 2 hours. If the patient is unable to sip the remedy the lips can be parted and the remedy dripped slowly into the mouth.
The same remedy can be for both types of Dengue.

Although I have started preventive treatment for the dengue as suggested by you & I am sending treatment details for dengue fever as mention by you to my known persons. Sorry to write you that there are 2 people who are infected by dengue virus, I tried to medicate them but as a few local people know about homeopathy over here, they also showed some fear trying something new & refused to take medicines. I have been following your articles on Dengue treatment with wet dose of Eupatorium Perfoliatum 200. I belong to Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. These days Punjab and mainly Lahore is in the grip of one of the worst dengue epidemics. I have tried your suggested remedy on a few people suffering with dengue or fever with headaches and body pains with quick and positive results.
I would like a few clarifications:
- Is the above remedy good for both types of dengue viruses i.e Simple Dengue Fever (DF)and Dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF)?
- Can the same remedy be used for prevention of both types of dengue fevers in non effected people in the community?
- In another thread I have read that Dengue haemorrhagic fever should be treated with Ipecac 200. Can the same be administered in a wet dose?

There a 4 known variants of the Dengue virus including the 2 you referred to.
The Joepathy that I have prescribed to ALL patients is below:
Eupatorium Perfoliatum 200c in the Wet dose is the remedy a teaspoonful taken every hour after succussion of the bottle. before every dose at least 6 times.
You will observe that I mentioned Joepathy above as this is my own form of therapy which is not followed by other homeopaths who will prescribe the Dry dose in pellets. This is NOT as effective as my therapy which gives 100% results.

I have not used Ipecac 200 and cannot therefore comment. In any case I have proved that Eupat Perf 200 is the Ultimate remedy and I see no reason to deviate from this therapy.

I believe that both you and I posted at the same time as I have already answered your query in my post.
I have treated a child of 12 years and the Joepathy I prescribed and gave the patient was identical with that I give to adults.
I have had 100% success with all my patients although some who contacted me rather late had to spend some time in hospital till their Blood Platelet count recovered.
I have also prescribed the use of Papaya leaf juice to help to raise the Platelet count.

Echinacea Aug Q twenty drops thrice a day in cup of water.
Crotalus Hor 200 potency,one dose in a wk,TEN DROPS in cup of water.
