The ABC Homeopathy Forum
Sameer Vermani or Brisbanehomeopath.
Hello,After referring Philip Bailey ebook called Homeopathic Psychology and a lot of other sources I can safely say that I am a lachesis person.
My main problems are.
-lack of concentration.
-Continuous process of thoughts
- Critical by nature.
-Introverted (I wasnt like that 8-9 years ago)
- Anxiety.
- vaginismus
-Liverspots.
-Wounds ulcerate and leave scars.
- Acne leaving black spots.
- Suppressed anger.
- Desire to stay aloof from everyone. keeping the phone on silent mode always. (I wasnt like that before)
- Unknowing saying rude things to people.
- Envious of other pretty & successful girls.
- I do a spell check on most of the words while typing.
I have always spelled length as 'lenght' , weird as 'wierd' etc.
- Early menses with pain in abdomen on the first day. and a very irritable mood.
- desire to stay at home always.
- A couldnt care less attitude.
- choleric.
-Two wills.
- plan a lot but do nothing.
- i am a media student, i often come up with the most creative plan in the class but my execution sucks. Cause I am not dedicated. I have no focus.
- my symptoms aggravate by heat. I hate summers.
So yeah , I have this bottle of Lachesis 30c. I have tried that with hepar sulph 30c for about a week (last year in november)and i noticed changes in my body menses came late and heavy ( at that time i wasnt worried about my menses , i thought getting menses early was normal) and I started fretting i immediately stopped taking any further doses of both of them.
2 days ago , I tried lachesis 30c again but this time i put 3 drops in a glass of water and stirred it 20-30 times and had two sips from it and threw away the rest of the water. i did this for two days. 2 doses only so far.
Since yesterday , I m really calm, no desire to talk or yell. depressed all the more. forgetting what i kept where. my stomach is burning, i couldnt get a sound sleep last night i kept waking up in the night. mental fatigue. acidity.
What does this mean? Bad or good?
sadhnam on 2011-03-19
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Looks like my post wentout of sight.
I have a new update.
No acidity. slept somewhat well last night as in better than the night before.
But i go to bedroom and i forget why i went there go to kitchen forget why i go there. although clicks after a while why i went, but i have to actually think for that.
I was not generally this amnesic before BUT i am road amnesic. i have a good memory in general , example i remember most of the trivial matters and important events. but i always get paranoid when i go to a new area. i have to go to that area a couple of times regularly.
example. when i joined college . for the first couple of days i used to ask
directions to people on the road and shopkeepers. I never grasped the directions on the very first time.
so now, i guess i definitely need a follow up! I am 99% sure that Lachesis is my similimum. But we will see, what should my next step be?
Awaiting for a reply.
Thanks.

I actually don't like Dr. Bailey's book very much, I didn't find it very useful - there were a number of things he said I disagreed with (like most of the population being Nat-mur!)
It is too early to tell what is happening - medicines can only be confirmed as curative after a few weeks really. If you are getting this pronounced a reaction you should stop and wait until it dies down before assessing.

Any polycrest remedy needs to be studied through the eyes of several authors, and we may all have our favorites. Kent, Blackie, Sankaran, Smits, Vithoulkas, Hahnemann himself - so many others. However there is no reliable way to choose your own remedy through these works, which are designed for the objective observer.
Every person can display their remedy in different ways - as a core state, as pure symptoms, as a miasmatic taint, as a delusion, as pathology - how they express their disease would determine which author will be most useful.

TOUCHE!
I have personally met a so called 'classical homeopath' . He is famous around here.
He prescribed me two medicines together of a sissy dosage i guess for two months and no change whatsoever! No improvement no aggravation either.
and he used to pack my medicines in plastic cases. So not 'classical'.
I am might be a hypochondriac. But I guess I cant leave the judgement to someone who hardly knows me. He will experiment each and every remedy that comes to his mind wont be his loss anyways. why should he care? or why would he care? and this is why i m reading up almost evrything that could help me.
Not like i m impulsive on trying out remedies to see what is working, I read a lot of articles on lachesis . while reading the philip bailey book description on a Lachesis person seemed like someone has written an essay on me. haha.
I am very very sick.
I never cared before of losing people because of my snobbish demeanor. But now I have to as I will be graduating in some days and I have to start earning and get married. Not keen on doing a monotonous work but still everything needs dedication. which i m not able to give. I am ambitious but I screw up everything eventually .
I will wait for a few days. And then we will go about this.
Thanks.

While I understand your frustration, it actually is a huge advantage for the practitioner to 'not know you'. The objective observer can see the truth without any attachment and this aids greatly in choosing the remedy.
Of course, being objective is of small value if the homoeopath has no skill in prescribing.
I have never in 20 years seen someone choose their own chronic remedy sucessfully - the very thing that makes us sick, clouds our vision to the true nature of our sickness. We cannot name it, see it clearly, because it has altered the way we see ourselves and see the world. A person who is not so afflicted, is not blinded by it, and will see it for what it is.

Homoeopathy is an extremely difficult art to practice - extremely difficult. Despite the best intentions, many fail at it.
I am still happy to keep on eye on what the Lachesis does however. So keep us informed.

Ok there is not enough pure information here for me to make a choice.
Best try redescribing it according to the instructions on my intake form to see if I can see something more clearly.
GUIDELINES FOR GIVING HOMOEOPATHIC CASE INFORMATION
It is important to describe all your problems in as much detail as you are able. One word answers and short sentences are not particularly helpful. Discuss each problem one at a time, providing (as a minimum level of detail) the following information.
1. What exactly happens?
2. Describe all sensations and pains. Each pain or sensation should be described in such a way that allows us to imagine having the same pain.
3. What causes the problem to get worse after it has started occurring?
4. What creates some relief for the problem?
5. What triggers the problem into occuring?
6. What time of the day or night does the problem occur?
7. When did the problem start? What was happening in your life at that time? Did some specific event or treatment take place just before the problem started?
Move from one problem to the next, doing the same thing. IT IS VITAL THAT YOU GIVE A COMPLETE PICTURE OF YOUR HEALTH BY PROVIDING ALL PROBLEMS YOU HAVE, EVEN IF NOT CONNECTED TO THE MAIN ONE, AND EVEN IF YOU CONSIDER IT OF LESS IMPORTANCE. You should address each problem separately using the above 7 questions as a guide.
As well as this, please describe any traumatic incidents that have taken place in your life. Discuss anything that has had a lasting impact on you mentally, emotionally or physically.
Discuss the way that you manage or deal with your problems, or any problems that occur in your life.
Discuss any patterns you have noticed in your behavior especially concerning your disease.
Discuss any part of your life where you feel stuck or unable to change and grow, especially where this occurred around the beginning of your disease, or as the disease evolved.
Describe your childhood and the kind of environment you grew up in, with reference to your relationships with your family, your school experiences, and any serious childhood diseases.
If your earlier discussions have not mentioned these already, please describe:
1. The specific foods that you crave (not just like) or hate
2. The specific drinks that you crave or hate
3. What your sleep is like
4. How the weather and the temperature affects you
5. What kinds of things in the environment you are particularly sensitive to
6. What your general level of energy is like
7. What your level of sexual energy or desire is like
8. Describe your menstrual cycle

My past -
As far as I recall , I used to be a rebel, mostly interested in making new friends and roaming out . Never liked studies. I always wanted to runaway from school. Never did my homework.
I used to always get beaten up at home and school for not studying.
My mom also used to beat me for being blunt (i am brutally honest and moody , i say whatever is in my mind).
My family life has always been miserable. because my parents are miserable (they never took my out for picnics or anything, always used to fight. mom used to beat me up all the time.)
I dont quite get along with my mom and dad because of difference of opinion, they love criticising me and they think i wont do anything ever.
When I was in school I used to love drawing and painting.
Now I love music. Music can drive me to the extremes of emotion. can make me extremely happy or sad.
I want to be a musician. I am even learning keys BUT I fail to practise regularly.
I have no interest in doing a 9-5 job where someone will boss me. I hate restrictions. Hence I intend to get in to some creative profession.
Thanks.

Also ,
When I was 11 or something I had a fungal infection on my right hand middle finger (it has cured now but the skin of that finger looks burnt). I also have a small fungal rash on my right hand which itches when I go out in the sun.
In the past two years , I have tried a lot of homeopathy, ayurvedic and allopathic medicines.

Much better, there is some good information here. This is more along the lines of what I need :)
Can you just give me more on what new situations feel like to you, what happens when you are faced with them or try them. That part I am still having trouble understanding.
Give me some examples if you can.
Also, talk a bit more about the low confidence that makes you avoid people.

So, you took Lachesis in 30c firstly together with Hepar Sulph, and then later on you took it alone ?
Can you give a more precise timeline of the doses, and the waiting times ?

oh i m sorry i for got to mention about my menses.
they are regular but they come like 2-3 days early always.
and and yes. when I wake up in the morning my whole body feels puffed and I feel ok after urinating. I drink one cup of tea in the morning.
I like the high i get after drinking alcohol but i regret drinking later because it gives me acidity issues.
My weight is about 50 kgs and height is 161 cm.
Blood group - B+ve (how ironic)
The thing that mainly affects my confidence is my looks.
I always assume or have a feeling that people are making fun of me. which may or may not be true but i always feel so.
BUT, I happen to be very instinctive when it comes to judging peoples intent and demeanour. In fact a lot of times a lot of people then say 'you were right she is really like that'. 'how did you know that' you can say I naturally tend to do behavioural analysis on people or as my mother says that I am 'manipulative'.
But yeah i protect myself from all the people who think are wrong for me, by avoiding them.
My moon sign is Sorpion and moon sign is Capricorn.
and last but not the least . Unexplained mood swings.
