Serious Issues, Need Help From Doctor On this Site

Hello. I am a male, 18 years of age. It all began about 2 years ago when I was diagnosed with 'sinusitis' and given tons of antibiotics and sprays which did absolutely nothing. Also had bad case of swine flu around this time. Turns out it was all pressure and inflammation from severe bruxism, anxiety, and TMJ Disorder. I am getting a splint for the TMJ problem, but the pain from it is completely unbearable as is the ear popping, grating, noises, etc. My jaw never locks, but is slightly restricted, and I always have simply not felt like myself throughout the last two years and it came out of no where. Almost feels as if I have a undiagnosed illness that is the root of all these problems. I have tried numerous different remedies but nothing did anything substantial yet because I dont think i have taken the right one yet. The anxiety and stress that living with an unsolved problem at such a young age has caused is unbelievable. I have lost a number of my friends and feel as if i am hopeless. Please give me some advice---To any doctors on this forum....i am in serious desperation. I also have a practically unilateral sore throat to go along with the tmj as well.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I also wanted to add that over the past few months I have been getting daily nosebleeds for some reason and I am an avid potsmoker. Difficulties swallowing are also constantly present and I currently take half of a pediatric dose of lexapro a day to calm the anxiety.

apologies for the triple post but i also wanted to add i took a serious blow to the chin two years ago, but the tmj disorder had already begun. this moped crash definitely didnt help it out though. also I had braces for two years when i was very young and then a retainer after. Most of these problems began to arise once I was weaned off the retainer by the orthodontist. any help would be appreciated pleaseee im in a living hell and no one understands everyone thinks its not legit and it is beyond unbearable and debillitating

GUIDELINES FOR GIVING HOMOEOPATHIC CASE INFORMATION

It is important to describe all your problems in as much detail as you are able. One word answers and short sentences are not particularly helpful. Discuss each problem one at a time, providing (as a minimum level of detail) the following information.

1. What exactly happens?
2. Describe all sensations and pains. Each pain or sensation should be described in such a way that allows us to imagine having the same pain.
3. What causes the problem to get worse after it has started occurring?
4. What creates some relief for the problem?
5. What triggers the problem into occuring?
6. What time of the day or night does the problem occur?
7. When did the problem start? What was happening in your life at that time? Did some specific event or treatment take place just before the problem started?

Move from one problem to the next, doing the same thing. IT IS VITAL THAT YOU GIVE A COMPLETE PICTURE OF YOUR HEALTH BY PROVIDING ALL PROBLEMS YOU HAVE, EVEN IF NOT CONNECTED TO THE MAIN ONE, AND EVEN IF YOU CONSIDER IT OF LESS IMPORTANCE. You should address each problem separately using the above 7 questions as a guide.

As well as this, please describe any traumatic incidents that have taken place in your life. Discuss anything that has had a lasting impact on you mentally, emotionally or physically.

Discuss the way that you manage or deal with your problems, or any problems that occur in your life.

Discuss any patterns you have noticed in your behavior especially concerning your disease.

Discuss any part of your life where you feel stuck or unable to change and grow, especially where this occurred around the beginning of your disease, or as the disease evolved.

Describe your childhood and the kind of environment you grew up in, with reference to your relationships with your family, your school experiences, and any serious childhood diseases.

If your earlier discussions have not mentioned these already, please describe:

1. The specific foods that you crave (not just like) or hate
2. The specific drinks that you crave or hate
3. What your sleep is like
4. How the weather and the temperature affects you
5. What kinds of things in the environment you are particularly sensitive to
6. What your general level of energy is like
7. What your level of sexual energy or desire is like

Can you also please list every homoeopathic remedy you have tried and anything you remember happening - even if it wasn't improvement.

1. Before Lexapro, heart palpitations, constant panic, apprehension and anxiety.

2. Involuntarily holding my teeth and jaw in a clench, severe bruxism to the point where my mother hears it in the middle of the night from her bedroom, a constant thirst and dry mouth which causes chapped lips too often. Clicking, popping, and grating everytime I swallow, breathe sharply, eat, or open my mouth wide which is insanely frustrating and probably causes the severity of the stress. Constantly worried about germs, but beginning to conquer that fear, but still in a constant fear that I have some type of life threatening illness because of the fact that nothing even phases my body and all this pain. I also was told I had asthma at a very young age by a pediatrician but my family and I always disregarded it even tho we got the inhaler because I played sports and was in amazing shape. I also do have kind of extreme emotions, as in I will cry at random, or because I feel a song is directed at an event in my life or something, or laugh to myself for no reason, things of that nature.

3.Being in the cold seriously worsens the anxiety and causes me to shake violently at times. Sleeping makes me grind to death for some odd reason.

4. Nothing relieves the constant tension or cracking problems at all which is agonizing. The sore throat also is never relieved besides when i eat or drink which is odd because it feels fine when i do those things. The anxiety is also very difficult to keep a grasp on.

5. Stress definitely triggers all of the problems and causes the flare ups, as does emotional grief, etc.

6. Constantly.

7.About two years ago. I wasnt necessarily going thru much stress but my body was. Tonsillitis, swine flu, sinus infections all took a serious toll and the misdiagnoses' also definitely did too. Stress was definitely one of the biggest issues but the teeth grinding has been happenning for my whole life almost.

-I took a serious blow to the chin in a moped accident which seemed to worsen these problems a bit because I was in serious shock and had a panic attack after I landed on my face so terribly hard.

-Before all of this began I also had whiplash problems which all began playing basketball about 6 months before the swine flu, which was when all of the other issues began.

-I used to be a very easy going person, and I still am very kind and I get great grades and run every day which is hard to believe to every body around me that there is a serious problem at the same time.

-I smoke marijuana everyday, but it is medical although not given to me by a doc, for medical purposes as well.

1. Crave sweets, meals, the normal things.
2. Hate soda now, used to be addicted to it.
3. Sleep usually is awful. Wake up early every night n fall back for a little bit of crappy sleep. Have to be insanely stoned to get a second of sleep which sucks.
4.Cold damp weather gives me sinus issues everytime and I am generally cold and very sensitive to it for some reason which I did not use to have a problem with at all.
5. Tobacco smoke makes me angry literally, as do sprays, because they bother me so much.
6. Not as high as it used to be. It is definitely lacking. The only thing that keeps me going is my inner motivation.
7. It used to be very active and my desires were very strong but not so much past two years.

Tried arnica and mag phos today which provided tiny bit of relief but im not even really sure.

Tried belladonna with pretty much no results, as well as rhus tox, kali bi, arsenic album, gelesium, and a few others i cant think of at the moment. I really gratefully appreciate you taking your time to do this. It means the world.

P.S. - Most of the ones I tried was only one or two doses. I was just looking for some type of immediate relief for the pain.

Arsenic Album and Arnica seem to be helping a bit. In serious serious pain and very young, ANY input is appreciated!!!!!

I am a little confused about the layout you have used to describe your problems. What are the numbers for? For instance you have listed as point 6 the answer constantly - what question are you answering? The idea is to go through each problem seperately, and answer the 7 questions for each one (as a minimum). Obviously some of them might not be applicable to every problem.

Are you saying that every thing you have described happens 24 hours a day?

There are some indications for a relative of Arnica, the remedy Inula helenium (scabwort). However some of these problems need expanding on to be sure.

Some of these symptoms, including the stiff tightness of the jaw, are known side effects of Lexapro.

So the problems are

Bruxism
Dry mouth/thirst
Stress
Fear of germs
Fear of undiagnosed illness
Extreme emotions
Anxiety
Trembling from being cold
Tension
Grief
Period of repeated infections
Serious blow to the chin
Whiplash
Insomnia
Sinus problems
Low sexual desire
Low physical energy
Throat pain

Try to look at each one if you can using the 7 questions.

The numbers are accordingly to the two sets of questions that you told me to follow in a post from about 3 days ago or so.

The answer to 6 was constantly because the question was what time does the problem occur. and yes it is chronic pain and annoyance. To go into serious further detail my bruxism is loud enough for my mother to hear sometimes. Im aways thirsty..i do smoke alot but it is a definite abnormal feeling. I am constantly worried even tho I know theres nothing to worry about....sort of a rushed feeling with no reasoning. The whiplash began about two years ago when I pinched a nerve playing basketball. I used to get shocks to this one point on the back left of my neck. It was like an electric jolt and I would practically collapse and it was intense pain but only for one second. That only happens like twice a year now. Alot of these problems began with a serious fear of undiagnosed illness..have always been a germophobe though because of the way i was raised. I think alot of my elevated emotions comes from my parents insanely high expectations. I have a sinus problem where i have to clear out post nasal drip all the time, ENT says everythig is fine after an endiscopy. Father had bad deviated septum at age 18. Orthodontist says bite has changed and i now bite with my back teeth so i am getting a new retainer for that. an on and off sore throat which i thihnk might be a rresult of the tension on all of the muscles, because i dont feel sick. i just feel in pain, and not right.

I also experience spasms time to time but they are generally controlled due to lexapro. I get very cold and i shake uncontrollably and its pretty wierd and uncomfortable. I know somethings wrong though because I just simply dont feel like i used to. i feel like an old man at 18 and its not fun.

Thank you for your time sincerely as well

I was diagnosed officially with TMJ disorder as well by my orthodontist and the teeth grinding and jaw tension issues were long before lexapro. Lexapro was recently introduced into my life about a month ago and basically was the reason I found out what my issues were..I had no idea that I was clenching my jaw 24/7 so insanely hard. I had no idea and it used to pop so loud that everyone around me could hear it all the time, and it was to the point where i couldnt hear what i was saying because my ear would be roaring.

One other very strange symptom I have is that occassionally music makes me paranoid and gives me palpitations, even though I love music to death.

Tell me more about

'insanely high expectations'.

'feeling like an old man'

'music makes me paranoid'
