Flu Like Sypmtoms during menstruating

Hello,
I am a 35 year old woman. I've noticed over the last few months that during the 2nd day or so of my monthly period I get what feels like the flu. It hits pretty hard where I am in bed for a whole day with the worst cold, sore throat, aches, and fever. Then 1-2 days later its gone. Im still fatigued the 2nd day. I've just noticed this coincides with my period. Is this PMS? What kind of homeopathic remedy might there be that I can try to avoid this in the future?
