GERD, IBS long time ailments

Hello,
I have come here with lot of hope and really am looking forward to someone helping me out. I am 38 years old woman and I have been suffering from GERD and IBS for over 11 years now. For many years it remained undiagnosed and since primarily I suffered aches and pains as a symtom of the issue and was prescribed pain killer after for my problems. As a result I developed Duodenal ulcer. Officially through endoscopy I was confirmed to be ulcer free in 2010 but I still suffer from severe acid reflux and IBS. Actually my IBS symptoms triggers Acid reflux. I eliminated certain food products from my diet, dairy, chocolate, whole wheat as I carefully went through each and realized that all three of them were triggering migraine and acid reflux. I am better but not really close to being 'normal' and very little imbalance makes me bed ridden. Last three months I have taken several homoeopathic remedies and surprisingly it has helped me enough to stop taking a very strong acid reflux medicine that I take and just rely on the Homoeo. medicine and zantac. First month or so I took something called Acidity tissue which has Nat Phos6, Nat Sulph6 and Silica 30. It seemed to help, Then when I ran out I was suggested Nat Sulph30 and I have been taking that for 2months now but had to take it 5-6 times a day since my symptons are pretty severe. Now I ran out of Nat Phos6 and I have been prescribed Nux Vomica 200 and Acid Sulph200.My question is if someone can go through my elaborate case and confirm the Homoepathic medicines that I have been prescribed right now, if it is the right choice. I know this is a long and complicated case but I would really be thankful. Also, the store that I buy the medicine locally from stated that will give me Nux Vomica 200 and Acid Sulph200 in liquid form. Is the liquid form same as the lactose pills?
(Other problems I have are Hypoglycemia and weight gain issues, Graves disease and I also take slight dose of Trazodone since sleep is impossible when IBS/GERD symptoms kick in the nighttime.)

Again big thanks to all who will take out their time to reply to my post.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I shall copy the therapy I have prescribed to hundreds of patients who presented GERD, the large majority of whom have been cured.

Your remedies are as follows:

Nat Phos 6x dose 3-4 tablets taken immediately after each of 2 meals
Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily.

You can expect relief from your ailment hopefully within 24 hours.
Do not eat large meals. Eat small meals but more often if you feel hungry. Do not drink more that a few sips of water after your meals. This is to prevent the further dilution of your gastric juice which can then reflux into your Esophagus which results in GERD.

It is important that you do not go to bed for at least 2 hours after dinner as food will take about this time to digest and it is best to stay awake and upright to enable your food to digest before going to bed.

No fatty food, alcohol, coffee, preserved meats like sausages, ham, bacon as they contain Saltpeter which will antidote the remedies listed immediately.

If you suffer from a stomach ache or you feel your stomach puffing up before a meal during the day between meals this is usually due to hunger pains, caused by your gastric juices attacking the inner wall of your stomach. The simple remedy is to eat some food like a biscuit or a banana to keep the gastric juice away from digesting the stomach wall when you will experience a stomach ache which in some cases can be very acute.

You must drink at least 3 liters of liquids, preferably water daily and you must also exercise for at least half hour daily to sweat it out as this is all part of my therapy to overcome GERD.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Liquid Alcohol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before sipping a capful of the bottle twice daily.

Please visit the links below which record the cases of other patients whom I have treated for GERD.

STOP using all other drugs and report progress in a week.

Big thanks for your prompt reply. I have been following all your suggestions anyways since I have pretty serious repurcussions if I don't follow:
1.Sleep after 2 hours of last meal.
2. No alcohol or coffee
Limit my fatty food considerably. Walk for 20-30 mins. I do take a cup of tea since trying to let that go started causing headaches.
3. Since I am hypogylcemic so sometimes when my blood sugar drops to the point of being dizzy, I eat some quick meat like sausage but I will stop that. Do you have any suggestions to quickly bring back up the blood sugar? Eating food containting carbs makes it so much worse.
4. I cannot eat banana since constipation is a big issue for me and really increases my reflux problem but I do eat crackers. It also seems to actually make the acid reflux worse though.
5. I do drink 8-10 glasses of water.
6. I do have the wet dose of Arnica but kept forgetting to take it. In my original post I made a big blunder of saying I was taking Nat Sulph 30 but it was actually NAT PHOS 6x, sorry. I will now religiously follow the regimen for 6 weeks.
7. My biggest concern is stopping all other drugs. I take Synthroid for Thyroid hormone balance, Trazodone for sleep ( I wait for hours to see if I can fall asleep naturally but once past 3am, I cannot wait anymore). My doctor prescribed Trazodone after he diagnosed fibromyalgia. I am at a point where I am extremely sceptical of allopathic medicines but this one actually helped me a lot. And as I mentioned I take Zantac (I have hiatal hernia too). I will take the Nat Phos and Arnica combination as you state but if the heartburn is constant and doesn't subside what do I do? I am really concerned that I keep letting the acid appear it will cause the ulcer to reoccur.
Thanks again for taking the time to anser my questions.

I shall deal with the matters you have brought up below your text which is copied below:

Big thanks for your prompt reply. I have been following all your suggestions anyways since I have pretty serious repurcussions if I don't follow:
1.Sleep after 2 hours of last meal.
This is OK. You have not indicated how many tablets you take of Nat Phos 6x (NP). Since your condition is chronic you must take at least 3 after every meal 3 times daily.

2. No alcohol or coffee
OK
Limit my fatty food considerably. Walk for 20-30 mins. I do take a cup of tea since trying to let that go started causing headaches.
You can certainly take as much tea as you wish but remember that tea contains amphetamines which will keep you awake if you take a cup after 4.00PM, presuming that you go to bed around 11.00PM.

3. Since I am hypogylcemic so sometimes when my blood sugar drops to the point of being dizzy, I eat some quick meat like sausage but I will stop that. Do you have any suggestions to quickly bring back up the blood sugar? Eating food containting carbs makes it so much worse.
I cannot understand the reason why you eat a SAUSAGE to lift your BS level. Sausages are protein foods and the simplest method of lifting BS levels is to eat a spoonful of sugar. What is your BS level during the day? Record it on a daily basis at the same time of day and report.

4. I cannot eat banana since constipation is a big issue for me and really increases my reflux problem but I do eat crackers. It also seems to actually make the acid reflux worse though.
It seems to me that you have consulted doctors who have given you the wrong advice. Bananas will not cause constipation. I eat at least 2 on a daily basis. I also eat Papaw which may not be available in the US, presuming that you live there. You can eat Plums or prunes to also help. The NP will help your constipation but you will take 3 tablets after every meal.

5. I do drink 8-10 glasses of water.
OK

6. I do have the wet dose of Arnica but kept forgetting to take it. In my original post I made a big blunder of saying I was taking Nat Sulph 30 but it was actually NAT PHOS 6x, sorry. I will now religiously follow the regimen for 6 weeks.
The least you can do is to take the medication as prescribed.

7. My biggest concern is stopping all other drugs. I take Synthroid for Thyroid hormone balance,
WHAT IS YOUR TSH LEVEL? I shall instruct you based on your report. I would like to have full details on this problem as it has an impact on your GERD and IBS.

Trazodone for sleep ( I wait for hours to see if I can fall asleep naturally but once past 3am, I cannot wait anymore). My doctor prescribed Trazodone after he diagnosed fibromyalgia.
I have observed that doctors take the easy way out and jump on Disease Titles when they cannot diagnose the problem the patient suffers from. This drug is a powerful anti depressant drug and cannot be confused with a sleeping tablet. I would like to know on what basis you were diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. What tests were carried out and when?

I am at a point where I am extremely sceptical of allopathic medicines but this one actually helped me a lot.
I am glad to note that you have woken up at long last tp the danger of using drugs which your doctors have indiscriminately prescribed on the basis that 'THE MORE THE MERRIER'.
And as I mentioned I take Zantac (I have hiatal hernia too).
It is essential that you STOP Zantac. This is a PPI drug which inhibits the flow of acid but has other more serious side effects which you can read about by Googling 'Danger of PPI Drugs'. Nat Phos and Arnica will replace this drug.
What evidence do you have that you have Hiatal Hernia? How and when was the diagnosis made?

I will take the Nat Phos and Arnica combination as you state but if the heartburn is constant and doesn't subside what do I do? I am really concerned that I keep letting the acid appear it will cause the ulcer to reoccur.
If you still suffer from GERD after you have used my therapy I shall then prescribe other remedies.
Have you ever had a Black Stool? Have you done an Endoscopic examination of your stomach and have you checked for Helicobacter Pylori?

Your case seems very complicated and I shall be glad to try to help you to overcome your multitude of ailments many of which I believe are imaginary and were perhaps planted in your mind by your doctors who would have identified an unending source of revenue for their lifetime.

Please complete the Patient's Questionnaire on the link below to give me a detailed insight into your multitude of presumed ailments:

To answer some of the points you have raised:
1. # of tablest of NatPhos6x: They were tiny sucrose pills. I started from 5-6 and then went up to 10-11, after meals and everytime I had heartburn (5 to 6 times a day). It helped during daytime. Night time it wasn't enough, I took a Zantac.
2.I take one cup of tea in the morning, nothing after.
3.Foods like sugar, hard candy or any other carb start a roller coaster ride for me. I get dizzy and lightheaded every 2 hours or so. The only food that stablizes my glycemic index are high protein foods. I do not record my blood sugar but I do get tested every 3-4 months and they are normal.I has gestational diabetes but haven't tested positive for diabetes since.
4.Bananas give me trememdous acidity problem and constipation. I do not rely on doctors to tell me what agrees with my body. Certain foods don't. Banana is one of them. Most people don't have problem with Fish and bitter gourd either but I cannot tolerate that either.
5. I do consume Prune juice everyday. Prune fruits do not seem to be as effective.
6. As I said I will take Arnica. I wasn't explained very well before why I have to take Arnica. Now I do.
7.I have been diagnosed with Fibro three times by three different rheumatologist in early 2000, 2009 and again this year. They have a procedure to test, going through, I think 18 different node points and a questionnaire other than a long term history. Fibro is a vague disease, it is as easy to question the doctor as it is to question the disease. But at last I am also beginning to believe that I have Fibro and I ignored this condition for far too long thinking 'when docs don't have a solution they come up with Fibro'. One of the biggest mistakes I made was ignoring my sleeplessness for so long thinking it will become better by itself. It caused a lot of other problems.
8. I haven't 'woken up at last' to the dangers of allopathic medicine. I have always been in charge of my health but there aren't many doctors who are equipped to handle a case as complicated like me. I have barely taken the hundreds of medicine prescribed to me over the last 11 years and only put something in my body when I know the benefit outweighs the bad effects.I do have a firm stand towards all docs now, 'First do no harm'.
9.I am not using Trazodone as a anitdepressant. The dosage I take is 12.5 to 25 mg, depending upon my situation. If I were to take it as an antidepressant I will have to increase it to 100 to 400mg. The quantity I take is so low that my doc is surprised that it works but it does (he called me last week to request me to increase my quantity and guess what, now I have a different doctor!) . But I am not trying to make myself addicted to anything here and I will be happy if I can stop taking it. But quitting cold turkey and going back to another decade of sleepnessness is not an option.
10.Zantac is not a PPI. It is an H2 blocker. Works completely different from PPI. I used to take Dexilant which is the strongest PPI out there. But when I started taking Nat Phos, I was, for the first time able to get off of it.
11. I have had 5 endoscopies and 1 colonoscopies between 2008 and 2010. Each one them show the stomach reaching up inside the esophagus. There is no doubt that I have hiatal hernia.
12. I tested positive for H.Pylori in 2008 and went through the anitbiotic regimen to eliminate it. Since then I am tested periodically for it and I am negative.
13. My bowel movement is a big issue. They used to be hard and black but now I take prune juice and are light colored and loose. My intestines never seems to clean very well. Any time I deal with bowel movement issues I get terrible acid reflux.
14. I have filled out the form but there seems to massive amount of personal information and past and present medical history ( I have already stated a lot of confidential medical history here) that I am skeptical to post over the web. I can email it to you, if you would like. I do not think there would be too many others who would be willing to take a complex case like me anyways!

Again thanks for taking out the time to reply to my message.

NOTE: my local homoepathic pharmacy stated they are going to make a fresh LIQUID NAT PHOS6X in organic alcohol and distilled water for me. Is this same as the pills, how do I take this?

mroy27 last decade
Nat Phos 6x is only available in India and Sri Lanka and in the UK in TABLETS not in pellets.

It seems to me that you have got the Homeopathic product which has not helped you. I note that your pharmacy 'has offered to make a fresh LIQUID NAT PHOS6X in organic alcohol and distilled water'. This is a waste of time and money as it will not be the Biochemic Cell Salt which is made in a different manner by Trituration not Succussion. It is essential that you get about 250gm of the Biochemic Cell Salt Nat Phos 6x from

Thank you for the correction on Zantac which is Ranitidine and not a PPI. It is equally dangerous in its effect on the patient as a PPI is when taken in the long term.

Thanks Joe for your prompt replies.

I want to make sure I get the right medicines:

1.Is Hyland's - Natrum Phos.6x a Biochemic cell salt that I want?
2. Arnica 30C - Processed in an alchemical combination of organic alcohol and distilled water. Is this the correct Arnica?

I am getting thoroughly confused since none of the medications mention on the bottle if it is a Biochemic salt or Homeopathic formulation.

mroy27 last decade
The Hylands Nat Phos 6x is in tablet form and is OK.

The Arnica is also OK.

Joe De Livera last decade
Thanks Joe. Today I received both the medications and have started the regimen. I will try my best to keep off other medications as long as I can sleep in the night. I will get back to you in a week (or earlier than that if I have any issues).

The Hyland Nat Phos says 'Homeopathic' on top, I wonder I do I know I got the bichemic formulation.

Thanks and regards,
Manju
